not enough drama queen or plot or fun... or anything but fail
Rarely do I actually say to myself, "this game sucks" because I have a high boredom threshold. I said that about this game 10 minutes in. I had to turn off the sound immediately because the first HOS emitted a TERRIBLE sound every time you found an object. The scene itself was lackluster and the graphics are bad. There is no way to turn off the tutorial. The written dialogue was painful to read and slooooooow. With drama queen in the title I expected something fun, perhaps a little snarky but what I got was a loss of 10 minutes of my life. Uninstall.
How bad is this game? I wouldn't even buy it as a daily deal for $2.99.

Yuckville
I dont like to be negative on any game because someone spent time making it, but I am sorry to say I can get more excited by watching paint drying than playing this game.

Eastville Chronicles: The Drama Queen......all should die
This is a silent game - until I clicked on the first Hidden Object and a very loud noise made me jump. Unfortunately, that was the only thing interesting in the game. Lots of dialogue, mindless mini-games, and nothing at all that drew me into the plot. The only good thing I can say about this game is that the scenes were clearly drawn and the story didn't take place in a graveyard at midnight in the rain.....well, at least it didn't in the 20 minutes I suffered through it. Sorry, BFG, this one needs to be allowed to die.

Mixed Review
LOTS of hidden objects, but the story moved fairly quickly. I made it to the 4th Level - house. Dinky and "old school", but entertaining little mini games. Nothing was hard about this, but somehow, I enjoyed myself.

Drama Queen is right -- what a waste of time
Grapics were ok. Too much dialogue. HOGs were interspersed with too many mini games. Sounds when items found in HOGs were really annoying. Played all the free time but was a waste of my time.

It's a sleeper
Another game to continue with the "lousy week" of games. Way too much dialogue to read. The mini games are not challenging at all. The hidden objects are not hidden so the HOS are a breeze. Over all the game is just lame.

Not even if it were free
This game started off irritating me by making me read dialog. The developers took time to gather music, sound effects but could not be bothered to do voice overs? If I wanted to read a story, I'd buy a book!
Then we go from one clutter filled HOS to another without any rime or reason and the sound effect we get when we find something is the most irritating one I have ever heard in a game.
I played 20 minutes of the demo because that is all I could stand.Thank god for demos! Sadly, I do not have any positive feedback to give on this one.

It's fine if you're SEVEN years old!!!
The only thing I can say is WOW!! I've never played a HO game that was SO simple....or maybe I should say "simple minded"! The objects were so easy to find it was almost laughable. And the ones highlighted in green (I'm assuming) were supposed to be hidden someplace....NOT. There were all right there....then why were they highlighted? There was no believable story line at all. There was nothing challenging about it. I don't like HO games that take me all over the place looking for things to go back to other places....but I DO want it to have some kind of goal. I only finished the trial to see how terrible the next scene might be. This would be a fine game for a child....it's NOT for adults....meaning the level of ease, not content. I would never, ever buy this game. There were even misspelled works for goodness sake.

boring....slow....too small
I should have read the reviews before downloading.
The story line was simple & the items in the HO scenes were so small that I had to sit with my face 8 inches from the screen (and that was WITH my glasses on!)
was not challenging enough for my taste.

SAVE YOUR $$ as Game is only 30-45 minutes
longer play than the demo!!!
I wanted a simple, HOS game that wouldn't tax my brain on this fine Sunday afternoon. I got that, alright! I did download the demo, played it, thought it was good--almost pure HOS, with lots of mini-games (but mostly super easy with the notable exception of 3 for me) which were skippable without penalty. I have TONS of free games from punch cards & since you cannot use them even combined for purchasing CE, felt this was worthy use of a free game code....
NOT
After downloading the full game, I was SHOCKED when the game was over---not even 45 minutes after where the demo left me! I feel so CHEATED!
It was a mystery/cop investigation storyline. A murder has occurred at the local opera house. A woman is dead, you are "investigating", which in this game means that you have dialog with all 4 of the people that work at the opera house plus the director's wife. You have "investigation" dialog; you tell your assistant (that's the gameplayer) to check this out, or get that for DNA analysis to the lab or open a door or check out a bookcase or room. That's the sparkles. There, you find a HOS--these were quite good, I thought. Straightforward, well defined, good graphics, clear & properly named on your list. Then, on to the next one. There are some mini-games interspersed with the HOS--when encountering something to be fixed or a lock to be picked, etc.
All in all, it was not bad--no gore, no outstanding graphics, no cut scenes (oh wait, there were--these were shadows of people talking {the actual murder and what lead up to it} with dialog subtitles).
SAVE YOUR MONEY--download the Demo and let it go at that. You can clearly guess 'WHODUNIT'--it's obvious who the bad guy is...save yourself a credit, a free game or $6.99 and just stick with the Demo.
