Gave up after 10 minutes I attempted this game for ten minutes only... very little storyline, bad HOS and the one different puzzle I attempted was impossible, as the instructions are so poor... I also had to turn the sound off as the sound whenever you found an object was really irritating. June 9, 2012
BORING BORING HO HUM Two minutes into this game and I was almost asleep. Terrible story, sound and game play. All HO with a few puzzles that were just stuck in places. Hidden objects were tiny. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. June 9, 2012
Dull and over-easy Not sure why I didn't read the reviews before purchasing this, but I'm sorry for my lapse. This was utterly boring. For a start, there's no seeking for scenes - you may click only where you're told to, and this click gives you either a puzzle or a HO. HO scenes are dull and predictable junkpiles. Puzzles are absurdly easy and some aren't even puzzles - they give you the answer right there on the screen (combinations, and suchlike that no, you didn't have to interrogate people for.) The art is humdrum and the characters are as two-dimensional as the scenery. This game requires no thought whatsoever to complete, which I did in less than an hour. A total and utter waste of time. Disappointing I was hoping for something really good from this game. The premise seemed interesting, and I was hoping for a fun whodunnit, but it was completely lacklustre. I played on the 'Casual' level, but the 'Expert' level seems to only have the difference of hint and skip buttons taking longer to charge - although I didn't test this. The HOGs were simple and there were way too many of them. Things aren't listed as something you might look for - ie paprika is a pepper, and vicious lion was a soft toy. A lot of the items on the lists were in yellow, and in most other HOGs, this usually indicates that there is more involved in finding that item - but that wasn't so in this game, they were just as obvious as the other items, and there was no real explanation as to why they were coloured. Evidence found for the murder would be clicked on then taken off to the lab, and an analysis given right away. It would've been so much more fun if there was some way of doing the analysis yourself, instead of being handed the result. The majority of the puzzles were very simple. I found the sound effect as you picked up an item in a HOG very annoying, but it is possible to turn them off. There is a lot of dialogue. All in all, I found this game to be quite boring, and I could only manage 25 mins of it, before I gave up entirely. June 17, 2012
Forget it! This is by far the worst HOS game ever made. Thank God BFG has trial games because I'd be pretty angry to have paid for this. Screens are screwed up. Items are way too small, Terrible sound tract. Don't bother even playing the trial. June 10, 2012
