Not a lot of fun for me but the demo is worth trying to see if it's fun for you Just because it wasn't fun for me, doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun for you. Perhaps I should have played the first game in the series but the reviews and synopsis of this game sounded so good. For me there was way too much jumping from scene to scene. The objectives were not clear, even though I did use the tutorial mode. you have to click on something that seems out of place in a scene before you can find out what object you are looking for in that same scene. I like a little more direction when playing a game. The graphics are well done, the soundtrack very pleasant. It's not a bad game, just not my type of game. May 22, 2012
A poor sequel It's been a while, but I did enjoy the first one. The sequel however fell short. The storyline was somewhat lacking, the cut-scenes were plain, basic and boring. There was no suspense, and the romance was dreary. The puzzles and games, however, were enjoyable. Often different to the regulars, and a good variety and fun to play. But between all the cut-scenes and feeble attempts at story-telling, there just didnt seem to be enough of them. I'd recommend this game, but only just. May 20, 2012
Don't expect it to follow the book! If you've read Marjorie Liu's book, "Tiger Eye", and expect the game to follow the book... well, you'll be disappointed. The storyline was so toned down and rewritten that this half of the game bears very little resemblance to the book. Also, the puzzles were far too easy and after playing part 1 (which was much more well done), I had been really expecting part 2 to be as enjoyable as part 1, and looking forward to its release. The only real improvement in part 2 is the excellent visual and sound quality. So, unless you want to finish the game after playing part 1, or are a fan of Marjorie Liu, I'd suggest skipping this one. Play the hour demo if you must, but... don't have high expectations. The Sacrifice When I bought this game, I didn't realize the "sacrifice" was going to be Hari's character. He really doesn't show up as much in this game as he did in the first Tiger Eye. I found myself missing that character. Especially because I'd really been looking forward to this game. I think that was the biggest disappointment. Also, I expected more of the secondary characters to make appearances in the story, as they did in Ms. Liu's book. Other than that, I enjoyed the game play and the challenge. It's not your typical hidden object game, which I also liked. I'd be interested in seeing more games from this company, but continuity should be looked at. May 12, 2012
Revenge of the Mini-Puzzles My question is: Where is the Humor?? Where is the Love? What happened to the game I enjoyed so much? I loved the first Tiger Eye and eagerly picked this up. But all the things I loved about the first are gone from this. It's all serious all the time (None of that "you want me to pleasure you?" kind of laugh out loud humor) and Hari has nothing but fleeting appearances and the entire story degenerates into puzzles to solve puzzles to solve puzzles. The puzzles aren't as varied as the first which had a lot more word puzzles. This one has logic, a few word, a shooter and then lots and lots of spacial puzzles. Don't play this game unless you like mini-puzzles because the story drops off and it just becomes solve this puzzle to get the gems for this puzzle to get the key to open the door to this puzzle, etc. Pale, pale, conclusion to a stunning first game. A Puzzle Bonanza Adventure Story! Good Fun. Fishies you said it all on this great adventure game. I am having a great time solving all the puzzles and mini-games. More adventure than HO. Nice twist on finding the HOs that are scattered throughout the various scenes visited. Not to difficult to find once you know where to look. I just can't get over the abundance of puzzles and mini-games to solve. I am a happy camper thanks to BFG and the devs. I will have to check out Tiger Eye - Part I: Curse of the Riddle Box next. Back to the game. May 9, 2012
let down honestly nowhere as good as the first one the characters were not very engaging at all the game play was too easy. they should have stuck to the same formula as the first. this one was very disappointing after playing part 1. May 9, 2012
Nice game for fans of this series and those who like puzzles I've been waiting a long time for the sequel. I agree with the other reviewers that this wasn't quite what I hoped for, but for me it is still fun. There's enough thread from the first story to keep me interested in how the characters do. A bit of a different approach but it grew on me after giving it a chance. I also tend to like puzzles so I didn't mind the break of having many puzzles rather than lots of HOG scenes. The puzzles aren't hard, just enough to provide distraction at the end of a long work day. No doom and gloom here despite the theme of murder. Music is background and not annoying. Graphics are basic. May 7, 2012
Ok for what it is.... I loved the first Tiger Eye game, it's what got me into Marjorie's 'Dirk & Steele' series. But since I've read the Tiger Eye, I can't help feel that this game is not living up to the book. Now don't get me wrong, it's a fun Hidden Object game, if a little easy on normal. But I just can't get over how far off it is from the book. Don't know if I will get this or not, but if I do, it's so far down my 'want list' that it will be a long time before I get it. Would I recommend it? I will put 'no' but if you are just looking for an easy HO, then this will be ok for you. For those who read the book, I would say no. May 7, 2012
Fun Game I love this game although I've only completed the taster so far. It's much more interesting than the basic "find the kettle in this pile of junk" type of game. There are lots of mini games and puzzles, some harder than others (although playing the easiest level I'm ashamed to say I had to skip a couple!). It kept the interest all the way and the hour went far too quickly. May 7, 2012
