Story with a Moral
This was an enjoyable game. Art work was well done. The HOS scenes were challenging and kept me working hard, good work!
I appreciate the effort to fix the glitch and the extra effort it took in order for us not to have to start the game over. BTW any one deciding to play you should not encounter difficult only the challenge of play.
Should you choose to play I hope you enjoy as much as I did.
Good work everyone!

And Now for Something New!
At first I was weary about this game as I noticed some odd things amiss about it. However after having played the demo, I have to say that I was suprised to discover that despite the many flaws, this was really one of the more challenging IHOGs that I have come across. I am a great fan of interactive HO scenes but in this game, the developers have managed to bring an interactive HOG to a whole new level of difficulty and in doing so, making the gameplay more interesting than I had initially anticipated. I really had to use the hint buttom during the HO scenes which I hardly never do. You really need to work out the logic to some of the items in these scenes. That being said, I cannot really give high marks to the visual and sound quality of the game. I was thrown off with the graphics which were blurry at times and a bit dated. Then there were hand drawn cut scenes which just made the entire game look old and incomplete. I did find the storyline a bit weak: there are no details given as to who you are and why you are actually there to help this town where everyone and everything have suddenly disappeared into thin air. You find yourself investigating and while you do so, you run into several characters that give you background information as to what happened. I also noticed that there was a space on the top right corner screen where a SG was suppose to be. It was omitted as was the task list that is found in the dairy. It is almost as if this game was initially meant to be a CE but someone thought otherwise. Nevertheless upon completeing the demo, I have to say that 1 Moment in Time challenged me a great deal, especially the HO scenes. There are two modes of game play along with custom cursor and voice overs. Game features a diary and thankfully a map which allows you to travel without having to backtrack all the time. Game mechanics involve Interactive HO scenes along with adventure and some puzzles along the way. I expect many will not like this game but for hard core adventure players like myself, this may just tickle those little grey cells as you really play on. I imagine that a walkthrough will be much appreciated as the SG has been omitted. This is by far not an excellent or even a great game but it does have those moments which I believe warrents a credit to spare. I actually enjoyed myself and do want to find out exactly what caused the disappearance of an entire town.

Exellent!!!
Review is based on the finished game!
Usually I don't do reviews, but I was very impressed about this game, and thought that it deserve 5 stars.
The Developers have put a whole lot of thoughts into this game, it reminded Me a little about Azada and Paheleika, even I really don't care for Hidden Object, this game was so different, it really makes You think. I loved the Music and the graphics was beautiful. I spend around 7 hours and enjoyed every minute. Looking forward for the next game from 2 Monkeys. Thank You very much developers.

An absolute winner!
I totally loved this game. Off late, I got fairly disaoppinted with HO/Adventure games that turned out to be packed with HOS. But none of this for Silentville. It has a good challenge, good hint system, beautiful graphics, fun storyline, good length ... Moreover, I loved the gorgeous map that lets you travel from location to another in an instant. In short, if you want to spend a weekend, teasing your brain and enjoying a fantastic game, this is the one for you.
I can only say: please BF, more of this.

Way too frustrating!
This HOG game does almost everything I hate in a HOG game. I played for 40 minutes and gave up in total frustration.
The HOG scenes require a lot of putting two (or more) things together, or figuring out which item is the right to fix an issue. That is kind of fun.
But there's no guidance at ALL. Static items get the rotating gears graphic and things you can move get a grabbing hand. But there's nothing to help you figure out what goes with what, and sometimes finding the items needed involves sweeping your mouse around looking for something -- anything -- that might help, especially since some of the items are very tiny. A waste of time.
It might be easier if the list of items to find were clearer. Many a time I thought I read one thing when it said another. The words are written in a font meant to be a fancy script, but with black letters on a dark background, it means that people without perfect eyesight are straining to read what's written. Horrible design choice.
I might be able to move back that if it weren't for the constant cut scenes. The longer ones are skippable (after a bit) but the shorter ones with dialogue drag out long after I've read the words and want to move on.
After a while I couldn't take this frustrating and slow game any longer.

Silentville Turned to Gaspsville for me
What a treat this game is! I play a variety of HOs and this is a refreshing taste as well as a twist to HOGs. This game has it's touch of mystry to it, but it (by no means is dark#.
I enjoyed how the game started out, the narrations and VOs are just fine with me. The music seems quite appropriate too.
I admit I do use the hint button, probably more than I should sometimes, but I get impatient with myself with some mini games. #That is in any game, and no fault to the devs.# I can't remember the exact spot I got stuck on, and the task list wasn't a help for me, and there wasn't a map that I noticed, so I hit the hint button and, #gasped in surprize# when it took me exactly to where I needed to be! lol I loved that easy fix!
The other clincher to scooting off the demo and grabbing this game, was how interactive each HO scene was. I personally knew after about 10 minutes into the demo that I was definately gonna add this to my list of games in my collection. I have never been able to do those train tracks mini games before and I was amazed that I succeeded without skipping it. #that also produced a gasp of surprize from these lips) lol
I won't give anymore of the game away, as you need to really experience it and judge for yourself. Big KUDOS to the devs on this. Keep bringing stuff like this on and I will keep collecting them.

"Boringville"
I don't do this often, so bear with me. This game had some great graphics as for color depth, but the hidden objects were so small you can barely see them, and it's more of a FHOG, or fractured HOG, which makes the items very small with very little to help find them.
It also seems, based on the demo, that there were very few HO scenes; most, if not all, were a supply closet/room in the train station that opens the game-I went to that same area four times! The story is ok, nothing new--in a town where lightening #rather than a dark cloud# has taken out all the people and you're there to find them.
Hint recharges quickly and there didn't seem to be any penalties for clicking. No other help though. I was left stranded in this train station with a couple of people and there's no way out; all people that were inside when the lightening appeared are still there and can't get out.
Looks like anyone would be able to play this game, but because there is limited assistance, it can be confusing. Overall, I think it is a little boring and frustating, and I played on the easiest level. It's worth playing the demo and deciding for yourself--you might like it.

Quite a Game!
This game was not routine. The hidden object scenes were unusual and made you work hard but in a good way. The hint system was nearly like the guide that comes with collector's editions and the journal helped too. The game was long but not too long and I am quite satisfied with this game. It was worth the money!

It Was Good At First, But...
Good Parts:
Great graphics. Very detailed, modern looking and great designs.
A great storyline with great voice-overs to go with.
Fast hint recharge
OK Parts:
I was enthusiastic about this game to start with, but it got boring over time
Wish there had've been some achievements to make the game more fun.
Bad Parts:
The Hidden Object Scenes. About 95% of the objects in it needed an extra step or two and this was realy annoying.
I wanted to see some puzzles.
Overall, this game was not worth waiting for it to download. I'm not sure I like this game and I'm not going to recommend it.

Good story, OK gameplay, Waaay too short!
I don't really care about graphics because great graphics do not make a great game. I would rather have a good, interesting game with heart than high def graphics as a front for a clunker. The graphics were pretty good, not grey and muted. The town and locations were cozy, kind of had that European village feeling, lots of bricks and closely laid doorways. They could have been a bit better, but you never really had a problem finding what you needed to progress and move on, sometimes a major problem with other games. The other nice thing without giving anything away is the story has the characters sort of frozen in time, hence the name Silentville, but you still got the interact with them in a very cool way. This broke the solitary feeling you can sometimes get in these games. It was awesome the way they included the cutscenes and backstories. Extra credit for the good solid voice overs! The HOGs were pretty unique in the way you got to integrate the objects with one another, kind of like with the game "Infected: Twin Vaccine". I know these types of enhancements are becoming more popular these days, but think about it, there are only so many twists you can expect from the developers, and this was pretty innovative. The downside to this if any is at times you just wanted to go ballistic & click normal hidden items or even "collections", such as Find ALL the Butterflies for example. Another thing is some of the puzzles were a bit obscure, but not too bad: light the lantern with a hot rose thorn, REALLY?!! Or some of the components needed for a couple of the machines involved a bit of test and see. But otherwise the locations, characters, story, HOGs and overall game play were pretty good. Unfortunately the game loses at least 2 full points for how unbelievably short it is. Upon its conclusion, I was SHOCKED that the game was over. I was expecting it to go into the next "chapter". I know story line is many times secondary to good game play and I don't have a problem with that; but, while the story was complete, it felt rushed because of the extremely short game play. I started playing just before a party on the 3rd of July and finished the morning of the 4th. Waaay toooo short!
