Big Kahuna Reef 3, or 1?
Wow. I must say I'm sorely disappointed. Big Kahuna Reef is probably my all time favorite game. With the custom, downloadable boards, I've played v1 and v2 for hours and hours.
This "3" looks like some kind of "prequel". What on earth happened to the graphics? You can hardly tell the different types of symbols apart; movements are jerky. For being a "next generation", months/years in the making type game, it sure is lacking.
Hopefully I'll get just learn to get used to it, and hopefully there will be downloadable user-created games. I will probably just force myself to like it. Definitely doesn't hold a candle to v2, or even v1.
I still have to recommend it, though, because the first two are so amazing.

big kahuna reef 3
Much to my surprise when I went to the big fish game site and saw that they were offering this game.I own number one and number two of this game.You have to start in timed mode,but eventually you can go to relaxed.In this game,you buy fish to put in your aquarium,whereas in the first two,you can add as many fish as you wish.(They also give you info about the fish).You can create bombs which comes in handy.At level ten you can play mini games and there is also a mouse game where you can challenge other players.as like the others in the series,this game does not disappoint.

Not so fun
I LOVE match 3 games and when I saw Big Fish finally released one I was so excited. I really think this site need games other than hidden object. But, sadly this game just wasn't very fun. There isn't any kind of story line. The levels are boring and there's no real goals. I guess if you just like mindless match 3...then you might like this game. :)

Not Big Kahuna's best
My all time fav. Big Kanuna is #2. This one definately doesn't measure up. I agree with another reviewer about the graphics. Nowhere near the quality of 1 or 2. Most Match 3 games don't have a story line, which is fine by me. Sometimes mindless games are what I need to relax. I'm glad I purchased this with an earned freebie, otherwise I might have felt ripped off.

It was so hard to stop long enough to write this review!
Match-3 doesn't get much better than this series, which has improved with age, unlike some others that never again achieved the level of #1. This game has lovely complexities that keep you from getting bored. There are different types of obstacles with different solutions, and always several things going on -- keeping the kahuna totem rising, using the net, using power-ups, making your own bombs with large matches. You actually can play untimed from the beginning if you go to "options." You use your points to populate and decorate fish tanks, but you don't have to if you don't want to. I have not yet played the bonus games because I'm too enchanted with the main game. I've been at it for a couple of hours and have not yet gone beyond the first tank, so this is a very large game with lots of bells and whistles. One of my favorite aspects: you can turn off the fake Hawaiian music and run a sound track of crashing waves. Now THAT reminds me of Hawaii!

OUTDATED AND BORING
The graphics on this game remind me of games from 10+ years ago. Compared to Fishdom, this game just doesn't measure up. At the very least, play the demo and decide for yourself.

What this? Game of newbie developers?
Poor graphics. No fun, lacking a lot of details, as for example showing you how much money you have to buy stuff for your tank. Or having a time bar or something that shows time in the action mode
The action couldn't be found yet after playing 40 level.
This is not a number three, this looks and plays like a first attemp.
A simple, not very good made match 3 - shame :(

Boring, uninspired and just plain awful!
First of all, I love match 3 games....except this one. This game was awful. I loved the first two Big Kahuna reef games and this one doesn't live up to the series reputation. The graphics were third rate, the puzzles boring and game play mediocre. Don't waste your time or money.

Hard on the eyes
Loaded fast & played well, but for some reason, this game was REALLY hard on my eyes. The other Kahuna games didn't do this. The gameplay is good and the MiniGames are fun. Overall a great follow-up to the 1st two games, but bad graphics.

Old boring game
This game looks like an old game of my grandmother! Graphic is outmoded! The game hasn't any aims and tasks. I played such games and I can compare. This game is very boring I couldn't continue to play it. This game hasn't story line, it makes this game more uninteresting.
