Finally!
I've anxiously awaited another game such as this. For those of you that enjoyed The Tiny Bang Story ....you should find this game intriguing! Like TTBS, this game has little to no instruction and you are left to actually use your brain and figure it out for yourself. However, in my opinion, there's a bit more instruction here. Unlike TTBS, this game offers the hint button without having to figure out it's a hint (personally I thought that was an excellent little twist and wish this game had something similar), and it also offers an option to skip puzzles.
The game starts with the comic strip story line, of which was not to my tastes, but beggars can't be choosers, right?! Then it goes to the main character standing in a room just waiting for you to tell him what to do. At this point, as somewhat of a teaser, you are offered the option of a tutorial! Don't get your hopes up! :) It's a simple index of icons that come up when you move your cursor around the screen. It tells you the hand means you can pick an item up, a conversation bubble means there's dialogue, etc. No worries! After a bit of trial and error, and moving your cursor all over the screen, it'll come to you!
Without giving too much away, after performing a few tasks in the opening scene of the game, you pick up your bag and head out in search of missing sheep. Again, through some trial and error, you come to a hidden object scene. Like TTBS, there's not a list of items. You just figure it out as you go. Find what you need....some of which goes in your inventory so you can repair a clock and find the first sheep. Then you get more of the comic strip...luckily there's a skip option for the comic too!
Once the comic is over or skipped, the game takes you back to the original room of the first scene. Now, the sheep has tasks to perform in the room and then you head out again to find the rest of the herd. A few more puzzles to figure out and then it tells you that you've reached the end of the demo and buy it if you wanna play more :)
As I stated previously, I have been anxiously awaiting another game like TTBS. Although I don't think this one, based on the demo, is quite as outstanding as the aforementioned, I do believe it is worth the buy.

By no means Easy
This game is a visually beautiful effort, with a very nice (if depressed) soundtrack. It is also brutally hard.
Instructions are minimal, and all in-game messages and hints are in the form of animated pictures (no words written or spoken).
The first reviewer didn't notice the travel icon appeared when you moved over the stairs down, which is why they were stuck in the first room.
The only problem (aside from the difficulty) is the demo is very very short, which makes me question how long the game actually is.

Cute Game!
When you first open the game it is really cute and makes you feel for the little guy who has had his sheep taken. The cartoon graphics are just amazing and you think how hard could this really be. It takes a while to understand how to play the game. Case in point, to leave the first room which does not show a door and took me awhile to figure out to use the stairs in the lower right. The puzzles I have done so far are good but hard. Also note the you have to mouse up to the top of the screen to acess inventory and the menu. I really liked the game because it is different and offers a real challenge.

Objectively it may not be 5 stars but it's getting it from me
This was not a short game, over 4 hrs for me and could easily have been 5 (I was taking notes at the time so it's hard to guage).
If you are familiar with machinarium type games then you will 'get' this game. It's a quirky adventure with a few silhouette fragmented object hidden object scenes. (all the HOS are this type) You play as Shaban a shepherd whose sheep have been stolen by bandits, one has been left behind and you go off to try and find them. Play switches between the sheep left behind and Shaban.
If you don't click on the keep ratio button you don't get black bar on your fullscreen.
There is a hint button on HOS (takes a minute to charge and it's on the inventory bar) as well as a hint button on puzzles, (takes 2 mins to charge) there is a skip button (4 mins to charge). Although later in the game a couple of puzzles didn't have the skip button.
The HOS have moving scenes - just keep your curser at edge of screen, and are interactive. If you are a straight HOPA or HOG player you will find them very different than what you are used to. Some of the scenes have a type of puzzle in them - find an animal that keeps moving when you click on them. There is a seperate hint button (bottom right) showing you all the locations within the HOS. Even with that, sometimes it was very hard to find the very small part of that animal.
If you are not ued to this type of game it does take a while to get used to but you are really rewarded with a very enjoyable, quirky adventure.
I love that your brain is made to think and that puzzles there is an actual hint button. Forget about what you think a hint button is, here it actually gives you that - just a hint. While sometimes it gives you the objective, other times it made you think and I loved that, even though my brain didn't work in one puzzle!
There is no dialogue or diary but instead the story is told in picture dialogue and cartoon style cut scenes.
PUZZLES
The puzzles did repeat themselves and were a variety of hardness and type. But some were unique, others a very nice twist on them - like the jigsaw which sometimes became another interactive puzzle.
There was an arcade fishing type game - very clever but hard (for me!) There was two arcade style shooting type (timed) puzzles. They repeated the "match one coloured end to the other coloured end" a few times.
I love quirky adventure style games like this and I think it's a new developer - PETAGAME and I wish them well and can't wait for their next game.
While one puzzle had me stumped (I actually was making it harder than it was) if you are used to this kind of game it wasn't a pull your hair out adventure but very straightforward, which I like.
cons -
-There weren't skip puzzles on some jigsaws and another puzzle so if people don't like them you are stuck on them.
- Some writing on the cutcenes didn't make sense but you got the gist of it.
So if you are looking for something different, quirky and really well done then do try it out.

Wow international Game of logic
First off this is a new game from a new developer from Sweden based on an old Arabian Myth.
Now we don't have to worry too much on "american" English misspelling, as it's all in pictures.
This is an intriquing game, very different from our normal comfort zones & things are fantastic!
The lil gut had his beloved sheep stolen & he's off to rescue them.
The Graphics are quite well done, as one posted stated they are along the lines of butonisque #is that a word?#
There is an interactive map once you have been to a location you can "jump" back to it.
There are interesting puzzle & as in other developers--LOOK EVERYWHERE to pick up items you may need #if you "jump" you may miss an item at the start.
There is a loop of music, but I usually turn it off & play what I want to hear anyway
There is a LONG delay on Hints/Skip--go grap a cup of expresso while you wait
The only drawback is there is no walkthrough--so this may frustrate you somewhat-Once one of those are available I'm sure this will sell like hotcakes on a chilly morning.
I would recommend you try the Sample tease of the trial/Demo & see if it fits into your genre of comfort zone-I personally like the STETCH I had to use my grey matter to work this game
It'll take 4 hours once you understand whats up--so this game will be about a 5-6 hour game #or longer# for the like of me :D

Light Hearted, Adorable THINKING Game!
Phenomenal game! This game lacks the handholding we have all become accustomed to. It is very much like "The Tiny Bang Story" This game lacks the handholding we have all become accustomed to and you actually have to think. and [put that logic reasoning to work.
However, since there is very little handholding, the story line is simple, yet engaging and the graphics are quite exquisite. Normally I don't care about the music one way or the other, but in this game I found it quite nice. A very nice change from the dark, eerie and sinister story line games.
There is a HINT button #2 min.# and a SKIP option #after 4 min# No voiceovers, the story line is presented with pictures - but quite logical and it is easy to understand what you are expected to do next. Game length has been reported as 4 hours. I suspect it will take me a little longer, as an intermediate player. HO scenes are interactive. HO and other screens scroll, so it takes a little getting used to - otherwise you may miss something.
Definitely worth checking out. If you loved "The Tiny Bang Story" you'll love this one.
And if you are a little lost without the hand holding, please do not give this game a 1 Star rating - that's not fair. If you are lost, please do not review.

Cute puzzle game
I loved this. I have played the demo. It took a little while to get into playing it; in that way it was a bit like Tiny Bang Story. The puzzles are tricky but not impossible, you just need to think laterally. There are hints but no handholding which I liked. The graphics are cute and I am looking forward to having time to just sit back and enjoy this to the end.

I agree with Pink
I think this is a stunning little game. Like Tiny Bang Story, it relies on your intuition and ability to solve the problems. I also don't think any voice overs are necessary as they would detract from the game. I know a lot of folks just don't "get" this game as they may be used to a different genre, but if you've played Tiny Bang and loved it, you'll like this too....:)

MESMERIZING/BRILLIANT THANK YOU!!!
wow!! I love this game. You are pretty much on your own but not quite so a little help along the way. I think this is the first time I follow a story line in 2 years of playing games LOL. Just lovely. The graphics are calming. Very beautiful. The puzzles are fun. It is a challenging game but can be done. Play when you feel relaxed and you will enjoy. It is a Zen type feel game. Thank you to the deveolpers.
Try this game for sure. I was mesmorized by it. The hour went by so so very fast. :)

Something different
The graphics and method of storytelling are unique and attractive and the game play requires some thought. I like the minimalist dialog, the thought balloons with drawings instead of words overcomes the language barrier.
All in all, an interesting, clever and fun game.
