Loved It!!
I did not play the first one so I cannot compare, but this one I loved. The storyline and voice over keep me engaged in the game. I usually turn off the sound, but enjoyed it in this game. The game has a map wish I didn't use (used hints instead to tell me where to go). This worked for me. The hidden object scenes where well done and set in the appropriate time period and the objects fit the story. No finding a plunger and anything else that had nothing to do with the storyline. This game was not too challenging, but for me, that was great. Sometimes I just want to enjoy the game and not have to run all over the place. Mini-games were different and enjoyable to play. Througout the game you are tasked to find flowers to earn points to purchase things to build your office. I did not do this. I will later when I purchase the game. Thanks developers for not giving us the same-old-same-old!!! I played the full demo and now I have to go purchase to get to the end of the story. Keep up the good work.

Could take it or leave it
Thought it was going to be so much better. An almost original concept. Art work fantastic, sound good.
The most annoying part was continually having to go back and forth to different scenes to pick up one object to add to another scene and then back again. Found this really frustrating and is the main reason why would not purchase this game. The positive was there were not as many HOG and the puzzles were quite good.

Great Story
Kept my interest and was able to get through the game and the bonus. I kept the music down low as I don't like to be distracted voice was ok some spots very low but still audible.
Like the fact that when you had to leave the game you could resume right where you left off.
Tried the strategy guide a few times and was able to open it up where I was last at. Hints were ok recharged in a reasonable time frame. Over all it was a great story line and the bonus was a great feature

Great plot idea but so many inaccurate details and awful actors
Love the unique plot, good HOS, fairly good minigames, good ending, love the dog, nice to have a map to make moving around easier, love that I can turn off voices... but.....
1. Have the developers ever been in a hospital? Apparently in their world critically ill patients wear their own clothes, are cared for by a single nurse from the 1950s with 1950's equipment, and are treated for respiratory arrest by a simple oxygen mask.
2. WHY WHY WHY include the apallingly untalented human actors? I'm convinced developers do this for 2 reasons: it saves on artwork and they have a girlfriend/daughter/relative/friend who wants to be a movie star. Especially disappointing when the artwork in this game is sooo good, wish they had stuck to that.
3. Hardcore mode is not very hard, to have any challenge you must ignore the leads in the black boxes (which you can't turn off) "the sand is hard I need a rake" " the cage is locked I'll have to saw it open". ugh.
Also several technical problems, I got caught in the endless loop crystal ball minigame like many others, and had to switch modes to exit it.
I still recommend this game, it is a nice change in plot and I had fun playing it.

Good game, a few questions about it though
I really liked the game. It was a good length of play time. I can't really give you a reason why I don't love the game and didn't give it 5 stars. It just wasn't my most favorite game. I think a small portion had to do with the actresses and actor in the game. I can never understand why their mouths don't move with the dialogue. Also, not that I really care about this... but just to say, I don't know if anyone else notice but the dog was different at the end. The dog throughout the story looked like a Spaniel mix and at the end, they changed it to what looked like a Golden Retriever. Okay..?? Why did they do that I wonder. hm. As for the game there was a lot to do and places to go on the map. You're back and fourth with objects and you travel with 2-3 items in your inventory to the next "scene". I just feel the story line could have been stronger? Given that the creators were pushing for the "imagination" in the game. This my opinion. Play the game and find out if you like it! That's all that matters =)

nice game
Only played the demo so far, hardcore option, but haven't needed any hints or skips yet. The text which flashes up makes it obvious what to do and what with. Liked the puzzles which are different from the usual ones but not difficult, map for getting around very handy. HO scenes quite easy, not interactive. I probably won't buy it because it's a CE and I don't think they're worth paying double for, but if it ever came on offer I'd buy it straightaway.

great game a must buy
The graphics are one of the best and the music is good. Easy HOS. Clues can be somewhat hard to find at times but the hint button is great. Has a map that shows you areas needed to find clues. Just a fun game. The other surface was good also. You will not be disappointed in buying this game. Do not forget to look for blue flowers.

The Second Surface hits the BullsEye! Bravo!
I was not a huge fan of the first Surface game until I got a little more into it. I bought it and didn't play it for a long time. It took so warming up to, but actually turned into a VERY good game (if you get past the train#.
I was eager to try out this game, and I was NOT disappointed! This is a very fun ADULT game #I would not recommend this for a 12 year old# I thought the puzzles were intriguing #thought I did not care for the magnet puzzles over much# they are, however, something different which is what I really crave. There was a good amount of HOS but not so many that you felt like that was all you did. The puzzles were good. There was a good bit of back and forth to get items, but the map was very convenient and allows you to go back and forth quickly and easilly. The only thing I had a little issue with was that not everything made sense #ie.. Why am I going to this place?# but the hint button and map made it not too frustrating.
This game started out with a bang and followed through! It was really neat! Unlike any game I had ever played. The puzzles are good, the art work is excellent and the voice overs are... well their voice overs.... Super Cheesy! I had fun watching the fakey fake hand movements of the nurse. #They were BAD BAD BAD!!! but Oh so funny, so take it with humor#
***************BIT OF A SPOILER ALERT HERE!***************
That being said, the story line was really great! I loved the intrigue and the idea of Noise, the alter-ego. I REALLY wanted the uncle to be a pervert. I thought that was why she was going after him #but alas it was a money motive...) It just seemed like it would be a better reason for wanting to kill him. That and how often she said she was a good girl and minded her uncle. Hrmmm.. Maybe that would have been too dark IDK
I also Love the collecting flowers to furnish the office. The extra medals ane fun as well! Just a little extra something!
Overall, this is a VERY fun game and well worth the purchase!

Great Game!
This game grabbed me from the opening scene! I played the demo and immediately brought the game! The graphics are so crisp and the VO's are one of the best I've heard in any game so far. The doll in the doll house was totally unexpected and made me jump out of my seat! Great mini-games, some challenging; some very easy. The HO scenes were very clear. I like the fact that you collect flowers to decorate your office; nice touch! I did find it odd that the nurse was wearing a nurse's uniform and cap. Nurses stopped wearing uniforms a long time ago! Made me think what time period are we supposed to be in. All in all, loved it. How the developers came up with this game so soon after Surface from Another World is beyond me. Great follow up to the series.
