Best Game of Year
This is the one game you should buy this year. Breaking the mold on the typical adventure game, City of Fools is simply the best game of the year. I had no expectation when first downloaded, but quickly purchased, then couldn't stop playing for days until I finally completed it. This is a tough game, but worth the rewards. Constantly entertaining, witty as can be, complex, and challenging. Can't wait to play this again and again. Highest recommendation possible!

dumb
I'm surprised this game gets such rave reviews. It's original but dumb. Basically you just wander around the city fethching items that have nothing to do with the storyline.

Cute, But Tedious.
The fun factor lost points for me because all the speech is a bunch of mumbling, you have to read what they're saying and the encircled lips...ewwww. Visual was really nice and crisp and detailed, but that mumbling speech brought it down for me. Also, I found all the running back and forth so tedious it took the fun factor right out of it for me. The story line is cute and a bit different, but not enough to keep me hanging around. I'm glad the other reviewers got so much out of it, but this just seemed very hodge-podged ...sorry.

Well made game! if I could give it 6 stars out of 5 I would...
I will start by saying that very creative people with a healthy sense of humor created it, the dialogues are humorous, you get the dialogue bubble with people making funny sounds, the graphics are great! different than your usual HO games, kinda 3D style, you get bunch of areas to explore, you get a map to know where you are, lots of objects to locate, different HO styles throughout the game, you collect money and buy things you will need to use later.
I love this game and highly recommend it for people that appreciate quality in games.

Wow! Just awful!
The first strike for me was when I found out I couldn't get rid of the giant, clunky hand cursor rapidly followed by the weird, mumbling, and largely argumentative characters. The grammatical errors made it seem like a game produced by middle schoolers. The bathroom "humor" was the final straw for me. I don't think I have ever deleted a game so quickly.

So Awful, I Quit
I hardly ever quit a game. If I pay for something, I want to get use out of it but I just could not take it anymore with this game. No plot, no way of knowing what to do next, no puzzles, wandering around, backtracking. It was a nightmare. I always use reviews so sometimes I get burned. Boy, did I with this one. Not my cup of tea.

If it's wrong I don't wanna be right!!!
This game is wrong on sooooo many levels and I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT! I played it 3 times straight so far and stopped to write a quick review. This will be my first and last review because games are so unoriginal these days that i'm rarely inspired to make an effort.
Well kudos to the developers for this rare jewel. Its fun, exciting, addictive, inappropriate and you can't wait to get MORE!! Please make more of these. Yeoman's job!!

brilliant! a must play
I loved this game so much I just had to come and write my 1st review ever! I have played millions of HOGs and to be honest im really bored of them, and am hoping beyond hope that developers take note of this game and start to sway their games more in this direction. This game is funny, easy to pick up and play and a joy to look at :) City Of Fools is more of an inventory based adventure than it is HOG, nothing you find will be useless, the map is essential as the city is almost a maze and locations are not easy to return to. There are many side games that are not essential to complete the game (such as a casino, bottle collecting etc) Overall this is one of the best, most well made games I have had the pleasure to play in a loooooooong time, well done guys this totally hit the nail on the head for me.

Weird, amusing, and addictive
I just started out with the trial version and HAD to have the full game. Quirky, funny, mind-bending, and different. Definitely NOT the normal HOG or adventure game. The map feature and the hint button come in handy to help you run your bottom off trying to solve the mystery of Tundel
