In fact, it is not the best but I liked !
The game is well developed, with an interesting story - monuments are disappearing, and Damien LeStrange - the world greatest magician - made that.
The graphics are very good, the music is appropriate, has good VO.
It has map and journal.
HOS with good visibility, not really interactive (just open luggage to find something, for example).Mini games are the usual, but fun.
Does not bring much new, but it's well done, colorful, with plenty to do and many places to explore.
A unpretentious game , not very challenging, but relaxing and entertaining.

Must see for yourself!
When I started this I thought it was far to easy. It does pick up as you play.
The options offered are very good. Even cursor size! 3 difficulty modes and volumes as usual.
The mini games range from very easy to quite difficult. Hidden Object scenes are interactive and very clear. Not terribly hard.
The hint button recharges very quickly on the easiest mode, 3 times slower on second hardest and you don't have one on the hardest mode:)
You do get a journal that holds your clues and a map to help you along the way.
I found this a lot of fun but unfortunately not very long.

A Very Good Value
I was pleased with the game for a number of reasons: the graphics were clean and bright, and filled my wide screen monitor. The minigames were of reasonable quality,and blended well into the action. This is a large game for the money, quite equal, IMHO, to the first installment, which was a CE. It's looking lately like some games, like this one, were intended as CE. This is well worth 1 credit. If you like a carnival setting, and large handdrawn graphics, you'll like this.

This game is short
I played on Advanced level (medium). I believe I only skipped one puzzle/mini game.
I did check the walk through a few times only because I needed to understand the puzzle instructions. Some of them were obtuse.
It's an OK game.
For whatever reason, I did not become invested in the story line. The one thing I did appreciate is that I was not looking for a kidnapped relative.
I finished the game in 3 hours with little to no use of the hint button and only skipping the one puzzle.
Try it, of course. Personally, I advise waiting until it goes on sale.

Not Bad, But Certainly Not Great!
I bought the CE version of Shattered Minds and loved it, so imagine my surprise when I started to play this game with great anticipation and felt extremly let down. it seems that this time round, the developers were either in a hurry to release this one or just decided to cut corners. As far as SE games go, Shattered Minds: Encore is an average Adventure/HOG with fairly good graphics, great use of color, some voice-overs and a story that pales in comparison to the first game. A mad Magician call LeStrange (Seriously?) has found a way to make world monuments dissapear (I thought Copperfield already did that?), and it is up to you to find him and stop his evil plot. Option menu offers three modes of game play and you can also adjust the size of your cursor which is new. Game features include a diary and a map that is absolutley useless, so bring along your running shoes on this one. Game mechanics include the basic seek and find and solve routine. There are HO scenes that are fairly easy to play with only one item that is interactive and the rest in plain sight. Also there are the obligatory mini-games that are ridiculously easy to solve. In one hour, I had completed the first chapter without any skip and according to the walkthrough, there are 4 chapters to complete. I did not dislike the game and will be more than happy to spend a credit or club reward on it but unfortuantely it is a far cry from the first game that I played. Gameplay offered me no challenge and I just went through the motions without being invested into the plot. I expect that "Encore" will appeal to many beginners to the genre; as for hard-core players, you will find this stress free and a whizz to play. As I said, not bad but certainly not Great!

NICE GAME
To me this is an average game.but worth the price. It deals with finding missing landmarks being taken by an evil magician. It is an SE. The characters are cartoonish. It has the appearance of a comic book. There is a variety of hidden object scenes, puzzles, and strategy. I found it a nice game. I have played the demo and will be purchasing it. Not certain on the length, but I believe it is a rather short game.

Did not hold my interest
Sorry, but this one is not for me. It did not keep my interest and did not run smooth. Lame story, graphics childlike and basic. I took a rocket piece from the robot put it where it belongs and the piece showed up again where I just took it from. Glitch? So the piece was in two places now, huh?
Although it seems like it may be of good length, due to the large map, I lost interest quickly. I have played alot of games and I'm always looking for detailed graphics and challenges with a good story. This did not deliver for me. Go ahead and try, you may like it.

I liked this game!
This game held my interest and was quite entertaining. Some of the puzzles were easy but some were quite fun and took a bit of thought. The graphics were quite good. I especially liked the skeleton opening its rib cage. Some of the tools you had find to do certain things were more original than usual. (I mean, really, don't screwdrivers, hammers and crowbars get a bit boring game after game? Not that you didn't need those as well in this game.) Some of the passages opened in an interesting fashion. On the MAC side of things the CEs always come out first and you have to wait quite a while to get a good non-CE game you can use a coupon code or a credit on. So I was happy to find this one. Some of the items were hard to find which I always like. Played it in the advanced mode. The length was good for me, about 3 hours. Then I get tired of sitting.

Standard Hog
There is nothing outstanding about this game, but it is a pleasant time filler. The graphics are good, except for the main character, who is kind of cheesy. The storyline doesn't really move me; hard to get worked up about statues disappearing, but you can tell that the developers put some effort into this game. If the storyline were different, it would be a buy for me; if I get bored, it still might be.

Was an ok game if you don't compare with the first in the series
We also played the beta test version of this game.
This game is in no way as good as the first of the Shattered Minds series. If you have played that one, you will wonder what happened and if this was developed by someone else.
There are controls for music, sounds & voice.
Screen choices of windowed, regular or widescreen.
Cursor choices of system, small or large.
The music is quite dramatic and there are some good quality voice overs.
There is a journal and a map (not interactive).
The hidden object scenes are minimally interactive and very easy. The puzzles and/or mini games are also very easy.
The graphics are good, although more cartoonish in type and there is not much action.
We had purchased the collector edition of the first of the series and decided that this second will also be a purchase on the hopes that as we get more into the story, things will pick up a bit. If not, it will be a fairly relaxing, easy game to finish.
