OOPS! They didn't do it again First let me say that I really like(d) this series. One of my favorite things is the right-click magnifying glass in the HO scenes ... even though I still had to refer to Hints in several of them. I like the "cartoonish" art work. Unfortunately, the cut scenes and shifts between chapters were as slow as molasses in winter ... and this is in a pretty high-spec machine. What tore it for me is that (what I believe is one of the final scenes) all of a sudden, the screen resolution changed to where I could no longer see everything on-screen. Never did get ot finish the game. Regrettably, I can't recommend the game. Sorry July 6, 2012
Great! The Flux Family are back! Loved the other Flux games. Just like the others I like the way objects are found all over an area and not just in junk piles. The pieces needed to go further in the game can be found in smaller pieces throughout the rooms. I didn't get far in the hour trial due to a phone call that ended up eating my time before I realized and shut it down. I guess that means using my game credit for this month but for a good cause. It's the first game in a while I'm really going to enjoy getting into. Where in time will we visit this time around? June 30, 2012
Flux Family Fan Overall great game. It is by far the best of the trilogy, in my opinion. July 2, 2012
SSDD Is anyone else tired of HO scenes every 2 minutes? Or this trend of making you wear a tool belt? I'm so sick of always looking for a wrench or a screwdriver. And HOs should be left to those who know how to do them in a creative way (the MCF guys). The original Flux was great--beautiful historical scenes with a zoom button, no less! One of my all-time faves. And NO HO lists--I loved it. July 5, 2012
Not the Best Flux Family The story relied too heavily on knowing the first 2 games. I played them so I sort of knew what was going on but not really. Plot was really hard to follow. Puzzles were uneven. Thank Goodness for the skip button. The game started to become tedious and the puzzles not fun to do. Graphics were good. HOS were standard fair. A lot of traveling to do so it became tedious as well. It was OK to play. Glad I used a credit. July 16, 2012
A great wrap-up of the Flux trilogy I have been a fan of this story line since its beginning and I was very curious to see how the story would end. Although the plot is very tough to negotiate, what with time travel, plot twists, prophesies and other such elements, I found it to help the game along. Similarly the game carries along the plot. This mutual enhancement between story and game is what makes the casual game medium such a great contestant in the overall Games industry. Technically the game is a FROG (FRagmented hidden Object Game), it is not too hard but challenging enough, it has a good duration due to its many chapters, the music ties well with the game and isn't boring or annoying. The puzzles are very interesting and just challenging enough without distracting from the story and the overall game. I definitely suggest that any newcomer to the game series plays the series from the beginning, although the game provides enough background for those who choose otherwise. July 3, 2012
Not Bad! I have the first two and really liked them. Not too sure about this one. It is different, not as much interaction with other family members. Nice graphics, music and voice-overs. Game play is very nice. HOGs easy. I do like the need to "find" parts and not just use the HOGs for everything. Not a very good flow to the game. Leaves a lot to guess work or the need to use the hint system. I will put this one in my puddle and think on it a bit. Thanks for the reviews. July 1, 2012
On the fence with this one I only played the demo of this one and found it a bit simplistic. You need this, you play a HOS and get the object then move on. It was a bit different in that you have to find parts of objects and the puzzles were okay, but I like a bit more of a challenge in the 'adventure stakes'. I also had probs downloading and playing the game and it only worked properly on the 3rd attempt so that was a bit furstrating. As I said in the title I am on the fence with this one and would only buy if nothing else I want to play. July 12, 2012
Value for the money I won't review the actual game as many others have already covered that. I just want to say that this game is well worth a credit. I played for over 6 hours which is a record for me, especially since this isn't a CE. Great game, well done, and excellent value for the money. July 11, 2012
Loads of Fun & Great Value Third in the series, Book of Oricles is as enjoyable and challenging as the first two. Lots of positives have been said by other reviewers and I agree with all the acolades but just want to add - DON'T SKIP THE END CREDITS - the voicover is priceless and you get to sing along with little Jessie! Happy gaming July 2, 2012
