Clairvoyant : The Magician Mystery Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure with bright and clear graphics. There are voiceovers (not for you though) which are very well done. There is no journal as such but there is a File which logs information found regarding circus employees to try and determine the culprit. There is a Map which is found within the file but IMO it's not much use for anyone who likes to know where active areas are and/or teleporting. There are lots (and lots# of Hidden Object Scenes which have very clear graphics. You find items by list and there is some interactivity. A bit on the easy side for me. You do revisit HO scenes but the items you found earlier do not reappear. I don't use hints so cannot tell how long it takes to refill. Puzzles ? same old boring ones but on the plus side they do open into full screen. There is no reset button. I don't use skips but it either filled really quickly or was instant. It just seemed to be there. Extra activity: Find 26 cards #Ace of spades# which refills hint system quickly. You come across photo?s / newspaper articles etc ? they will remain active even after you?ve took note of them. Whatever my final rating is, there will be a minus for that. Zooming into an area will activate a puzzle if you have the required items. Once the puzzle is done though, the scene does not close itself. Another minus for that. My overall opinion is therefore, great game with good voiceovers and excellent graphics which runs smoothly but because no thought has been given to the quality of the puzzles, scenes remaining active after you no longer need them, map useless ? 3 stars. But because the devs have given us something extra #find cards) which always pleases me, I?ll up it to 4 stars. No walkthrough so cannot determine approximate length. July 2, 2012
Hmmm.... I was a little isappointed with this game. I ge that it's a Hidden Object Game but there were WAY too many scenes. Good Parts: Some pretty good graphics. A very good storyline. The star magician goes missing and it's up to you to find him! The Hidden Object Scenes had interactive objects I actually liked the puzzles. They were a good challenge for someone of my level. OK Parts: Voice-overs were ok, but I would've prefered a cutscene rather than just text. Bad Parts: Yeah, I get this is a Hidden Object Game and all, but there was no need for THAT many Hidden Object Scenes!! Everywhere I looked there was a Hidden Object Scene. I would've liked a little bit more looking around. The hint took way too long to recharge. I really hated this as some of the objects were really hard to find. The fun factor is missing. I would've liked a carnival based game to be more fun! On the theme, I don't think it was matched with the storyline very well. Someone goes missing at a carnival. Seriously, a missing persons unit case at a CARNIVAL! This needed some re-thinking. Overall, I was impressed with the game to start with, but then it just got boring. I wouldn't recommend wasting moiney on it. July 2, 2012
BREATH OF FRESH AIR Lovely game. Back to what Hidden Object Games used to be like. With that I mean there are more HO scenes. They are bright, big and beautiful. Still this game offers enough inventory items to keep the player happy. The puzzles are fun and not too difficult. And I am not getting lost by walking around in circles.I find this to be a fun and relaxing game. I recommend that people play the demo for sure! July 2, 2012
I'm mixed on this one... I had always thought that you can't have too many HOGs in one game. I stand corrected. They keep coming one right after another. This slows the story line down to a crawl. They got one thing right. No annoying music during the game. Yea! The hint meter took awile to fill up, but I hardly used it. I thought that the visuals were clear, and I was able to find things easly. The challenge was ok. I don't know if I'll buy it or not. July 2, 2012
An entertaining game I found this to be a fun little game full of hidden objects. It is a good game for those who haven't alot of experience in these games because it is quite easy. I liked it because it was relaxing and entertaining. The graphics were very clear and sharp and voices were nice also. This is important to me bcause I am over 70 yrs old. The story line was unique and interesting. Give it a try. July 2, 2012
Yeah an EXCELLENT HO GAME! I love that this game has alot of HO scenes and easy to navigate through the game! Music fits the game, and wonderful graphics! No hesitation on buying this game! Thank you devs for thinking of us that like to relax when playing games. July 2, 2012
Hidden Object Game ... Change of Pace From Big City Adventures Yes, there are a lot of hidden object scenes. If you enjoyed playing the games in the Big City Adventure series but have gotten a little bored with them, I think that you might like this game. The hidden object scenes are a plenty -- not difficult -- with each scene have some interaction. There are mini-games which relate to the achievement of game goals, rather than there being a mini-game for the "fun of it." The hint/skip option is slow to refill until you find all (26) the cards throughout the game. The good news is that you will probably not have to use the hint to find objects. You may use it to get help with "what to do next." The storyline is OK -- I like it. Again, the storyline and the game play match. The game play is on the easy side -- good for a relaxing game play. Graphics are good, not great. Fun factor, great for me because there are those times that I just want to play a "no brainer." I cannot comment on length. 50 minutes of game play and I was just starting Act II. I will put this game on my probably will buy list. Too early in the month to make my game commitments -- Smile. I recommend that players give this game a try! July 2, 2012
So-So HOG If you are looking to just sit back and play a relaxing HOG..this is it. No real challenge here. July 2, 2012
Easy HOS, mediocre adventure This game has good graphics, voice-overs and music. A circus magician disappears, and you're hired to find him. You have several suspects, and each one of them behaves suspiciously when you approach them. Hint takes a long time to recharge, but I rarely needed it. HOS and puzzles are easy. The map is a joke. It gives you a general idea of the layout of the area you're working, but that's it. The journal describes the main characters and the clues you find. If you like easy HOS/puzzle games, this is for you. If you like a good adventure, skip this one. July 2, 2012
Give it a try. This is probably the easiest HOS/Adventure game I have played. There is no WT, however, I found I didn't need it, which is a first for me. The HOS were not difficult. Items were easy to find for the most part. The game made sense as I played. If and when I needed a wrench (or whatever item was needed), I was able to find it without to much back and forth. If you are looking for a more challenging game, then this one is probably not for you. If you are looking for a good kick back and play after a busy day, then you might enjoy playing. As games go, this one was shorter time wise. I wish it had been longer...more for your money. July 6, 2012
