you wil not be disapointed The sound and graphics are good. The game has a good storyline and different. Fun HO and getting clues to use are fun. Some moving around but the game will keep you interest and you do not want to stop till the end. August 13, 2012
Most Confusing game I ever played Between running back and forth through the scenes, the totally confusing ending, and the dog that has no purpose; this was a real disappointment. ERS games are my favorite and I always buy their games after playing a few minutes of the trial. This one started out very well but got more and more unrelated as it went on. Maybe my game skipped a step but I have no clue how I got to the final scene and still have no idea what happened to to the dead girls. July 29, 2012
I just HAVE to buy it!! Played the demo and time whizzed by. I chose Casual mode but will be a bit more adventurous after I've bought it, after all, can easily change back again, what a great option that is! I like that you can also change the music at the shop, no charge! VERY different HO scenes, lots of interactivity and even a couple of puzzles thrown in. Puzzles so far, I would rather call mini-games as they are no real challenge, but entertaining nevertheless. Now off to buy and play again :) July 5, 2012
YOU DON'T UNDERESTIMATE A PLAYER THIS MUCH... This was the easiest game ever. Solutions and puzzles were like for kids level, and I was so disappointed. Such a great team, and I've played all of their games, but this one was just...don't repeat this please. No challenge at all. July 7, 2012
Very Disappointed I played Grim Facade Mystery of Venice and enjoyed it. When I received an offer from BFG to buy this game at a reduced price, I decided to buy it without trying it first because I liked the first game. Big mistake. Thank heaven the price was at least reduced. If there is logic behind this plot, I missed it. I never figured out who the women were that were killed or why they were killed. I can't figure out what happened to two of the brothers. The end of the regular game is abrupt and leaves you wondering what the heck?! Is that it? The bonus game tries to wrap it up but who cares by that point. I'm sorry, but don't buy this game if you are expecting the same quality that was in the first. August 7, 2012
Disappointing end It was hard for me to only give this game 3 stars as it started out so well and I actually enjoyed playing the game. What jarred me was the ending. It ended so abruptly that I thought I had missed something and the reason for the end just came out of no where. I had purchased the CE so that was the only way I was able to keep playing to actually figure out what in the world happened. The back story in the extras was almost as long as the regular game. I do recommend the game but I just don't know what to suggest about having to buy the CE to even understand the ending. July 15, 2012
some fun, but nothing to write home about Another average game from this developer whose motto must be "quantity not quality". Game is a decent length, and HOG scenes are varied, but unfortunately lead you by the hand in the "shadow HOGs" and both HOG scenes and puzzles are scarce. DO NOT read the diary if you want any challenge whatsoever. It leads you shamelessly, even on hardcore mode. Speaking of the diary, at the beginning of the game you are told the maid found a diary outlining 3 murders. Well of course these developers couldn't be bothered to actually give us the diary to read, we are lucky to get a few paragraphs. The story is so disjointed it barely makes a plot. The bonus chapter does little to help. This game is not scary in the least, despite the title. Good things: length, ability to turn off voices, varied HOG scenes, having to get money to buy things you need. The cat, hamster, and dog are cute. MINOR PLOT SPOILER Boos to the developer for hurting the dog- but don't worry he survives. I've lowered my expectations for this developer's games, and are enjoying them more because of it. Just don't expect an MCF level of gameplay, and buy it on sale like I did. July 8, 2012
Sinister Obsession Crashes *these comments are based on game play completion including bonus* Plz note: this game crashed three times while playing I found this ERS offering to to be more than usually improbable. I have not aware of any canine medals awarded granted for debris clearing. Here are a few pluses I found in Sinister Obsession CE. The cut scenes are great! They reveal the back story in a series of flashbacks, which are reminiscent of Agatha Christie. Once you are done playing in an area w/only a few exceptions do you return to previous locations. Thus, if you are stuck in any "room" or locale, it means you have over looked something crucial needed to move forward. In other words, no excessive "too-ing and fro-ing I think that Sinister Obsession will be enjoyed by many, but it did not meet my personal expectations from this game developer. My main issue is that the game ends very abruptly admittedly in a grand fashion. I did not actually figure out just how the murderer murdered 3 women. I did see that the murder murdered the story. It was...Okay Having played the other Grim Facade, I expected high things out of this game, and immediately regretted it. The HOG scenes are stupid. Most of the time it's an easy "find 12 of x item". The plotline was stupid and VERY unfollowable. I didn't understand the plot at all. We never got to know who the people were that got killed. There seemed to be a separate plotline going on...but I didn't understand it. July 12, 2012
Loved It, Loved It, Loved It I have been waiting on this sequel, since the first Grim Facade came out. I knew I was going to buy this before the demo. You are a detective in Italy again, concerning the death of 3 women. You still have the fans for hints and for the HO's, you are looking for 12 hammers, 12 chains, etc or you are given a silhoutte of an item to pick out of the scene and use it to get another item from the scene.
