Too many HOs If HO scenes are your thing, you will love this game. There were waaaaay too many for me, though - you'd do one or two things and then immediately be presented with yet another HO scene. As HOs go, these are good - they are interactive, at least; but they are of the junkpile variety and I got really tired of them - enough so that I stopped playing the game. July 27, 2012
Howlville is not for me I was not impressed with this game. My reasons: the graphics were basic, the game progressed slowly, the curser was sluggish, and the story line was very basic. I turned the volume down to eliminate the noise. I suggest playing the demo before purchasing. I wish I had. July 23, 2012
Boring I only played the trial part of the game, but I was not impressed. Had no clue what I was supposed to do. I wasted most of the time just clicking everywhere trying to figure out what moved and what didn't. Other than the HINTS there was no help at all. I'm glad I didn't go ahead and buy this one. Hidden Objects Mania !! The visual and sound great and if you love HO games well you are going to be pleased. However it is the same old story again. I probably should not have began this game after coming off of two super adventure games that really had me smiling. Not being a Hidden Objects game fan and especially one with overclick penalty, this game just had me cringing. Fun factor: Ah, I would have to say "painful". Just too, too much Hidden Objects and not enough substance for this fishie. This is a no buy for me. July 15, 2012
Was not a fan of this game I am sorry to say, but I did not really like this game too much. The opening scene reminded me of a scene from a bad comic book. In all fairness, I did not finish the demo because it was too painful to complete. I basically knew I had enough after the short time I played. It was not interesting to me. I am a fan of Greenhill Sanitarium, MCF, etc....so you can compare my taste to yours. July 14, 2012
Having trouble sleeping? I found the play in this game to be so slow and the music dragged to the point where I actually found myself falling asleep at the keyboard. I bailed before the trial was done. July 11, 2012
Not Worth Money I definitely was not impressed with this game at all. It was not what I thought it would be based on the reviews I read prior to purchase. I love HOGs so loved all of those but most of the puzzles were just too easy. I'll stick to HOG CE in future. Thanks though BF! Love your site & games and will continue to purchase in the future. Best of luck to all! July 13, 2012
Howlville: The Dark Past This game is brilliant for those who enjoy HOS which basically make up the majority of this game, I personally like more adventure. July 12, 2012
average Story is sort of engaging; several mini games are glitchy (not completing even with the correct result) and must be skipped; game is rather short; and HOS are often needlessly difficult with items colored exactly like the background. July 16, 2012
WOW, what a wonderful game!!! I loved this game. It wasn't perfect, but was pretty close for me. The graphics looked great, especially in the hidden object scenes, which were nicely constructed. Most scenes had interactive things to do, including puzzles - some of which were good enough to be stand alone puzzles! I liked that there wasn't a lot of hand holding, like most other games. Although, I did have to consult the walkthru for the last puzzle, since there wasn't a skip for it. Overall, this was extremely fun to play. I highly recommend it, and can't wait for more from this developer! April 28, 2013
