Don't bother
This game is very similar to other strategy games where you have a set of tasks given to you at each level and you have to figure out how to best allocate your workers to get the job done, like the games My Kingdom for the Princess, a New Yankee in King Arthur's Court, and Island Tribe. I found it to be very boring to play because of these similarities and there was nothing special to set it apart from these other games. Also, at least in the game My Kingdom for the Princess, you had the opportunity to choose how your castle was being constructed between levels.

There is a Casual mode in the full game!
Having read the first few reviews I wanted to let people know that in the full game there is choice of casual mode with no timer!
There are also two harder modes for those who like more of a challenge.

Hard but enjoyable
It is nice to finally have a time management game that you don't make expert the first time you play it..yes the graphics may need a little work, and yes the sounds may be a little repetitive, and yes the story line is an age old one, but there is nothing more frustrating starting a game (in the demo) and finishing half of it, all levels as expert, before the demo ends.
This game is hard and makes you think, and restart levels you didnt get expert in to finish the game properly...Thankyou BFG for a challenging time management game!!

Unforgiving
Although the game play is great, the graphics wonderful. The timer is very unforgiving. Which makes the game a chore; not fun. TM's are my favorite games to play, and have been for years. However, even my hand hurts after playing and trying repeatedly on several levels to get gold. After level 10 you will be lucky to get bronze after replaying the level several times over...You must replay the level if you do not make the time allotted, you cannot continue then later go back to replay and beat your score. You're not given much time for any level no matter how much more the difficulty to complete the level gets. Apparently, even the beta testers informed the company of this, they chose not to listen. Note to the developers: User friendly, were you not taught this in your programming classes? You can have the greatest graphics, sound, game play...make all the improvements you can over other games of the same genre, but if the game is not fun...it will not sell well. And this game had the potential to lead the pack...

OK . . . Nothing New . . . Recommend to New Players, Only!
For those who like this type of game, all I can say is that there is nothing new and some things are different -- not good nor bad.
As usual, you have to collect resources and build structures, in my 30 minutes of play time, I did not run across anything the would excite me to purchase this game.
You collect resources in two ways -- you build structures that produce the resources, and you run around and pick them up along the many paths.
After each level, your "castle" is rebuilt -- you don't have to do anything here but watch as it's being built.
Throughout the game, as usual, you assign characters to buildings to work.
If you are new to these types of games, this might be a good game to start with. It's very simple and not very challenging.
If you are a skilled gamer for these types of games, you will be bored after minutes of play.
The game is not one that I would recommend to skilled players, but new players might give it a go.

Good for the very young
I must be playing a different game than what others are because I am not finding the time to be an issue. But then, there's no way to track your time. There's no time indicator during the game. When completed, you see the typical three medals and the time it took you. I have yet to get anything other than all 3 and only one has been longer than 4 minutes.
This game is super, super easy. I bought it thinking it gets harder as it increases and it has not. If you have a kid who can understand progression, then this is an excellent game for them to start with.
But if you are an adult who plays a lot of these time management and strategy games, it will be so easy you'll be bored to tears.
Most levels have only one goal. Only one did I need to take a specific path first.

Not my cup of tea
I would give this game 2 and 1/2 stars if I could. Fun factor, I hate timed games. Nuff said.
I liked the visual quality. Every thing was very clear. The audio, not so much. It was annoying and repetitive.
The game seemed rather easy, but being timed was hard.
Storyline...same old, same old.
I am going to recommed this game because I'm on the fence about it.

3-stars reason
my rates is only 3 stars because
1) this game is difficult for me.
2)I can only manage to get gold star in the first 3 level...
3)has time limit

Gnomeilious
I absolutely love this game the graphics are fantastic, the story is really cute all the characters are just adorable. This is a very whimsical and magical little building game that is quite challenging and so much fun. Blam really did a great job with this one I love the design of the game and it plays so smooth and this developer is proving to be a force to be reckoned with and quickly becoming one of my personal favorite developers way to go Blam you rocked it with this one. This is your typical builder game where you gather your resources and help the little gnomes rebuild their kingdom. There is a timer and it's not very generous for the gold it's quite a challenge to get gold on each level but each level can be replayed if you don't get gold the first time around. I love the fact that with this one you don't have to run back and forth to the little house after you gather your food you can stand there and continue to pick your berries until the bush is empty this is one feature I've been hoping someone would put in one of these games so thank you Blam so much for that also there are 65 levels with this one and most are 40 so again thank you Blam for making this one longer it's well appreciated. You can't chain on this one which can slow things down a little bit for you, this is one where you really have to have some great timing and a strategy plan in order to get the gold this isn't a easy game but it's so much fun. The colors are bright and colorful really pretty all the buildings have such a whimsical look to them I absolutely love them. This one is definitely a winner for me as I love this genre of games they are my absolute favorite and they are becoming very popular so please dev's and Big Fish keep giving us these games they are so cool and we need more of them cause we love them, we want them, and we play them. This one is definitely worth the demo so give it a try I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thank you so much Blam and Big Fish for this awesome building game and please keep them coming.

Gold level? - rebuild a castle? - no chance!
Too difficult to get the gold level required to rebuild - kept missing out by few seconds and later only bronze level attained.
Oh yes, you need a strategy alright but how do you develop one? As soon as the level opens the clock is running - no time to plan. So it's manic pace all through the game.
Storyline interestinbg, graphics ok, gameplay no options available just headlong panic....
Sorry not for me - I get frustrated at the time constraint and pace of the game, so it becomes a chore very quickly and I decide not to buy it.
