Detailed, beautiful and fun storyline, but not the game for me.
I played this on trial version, and while I enjoyed the trial, I don't think I'll be buying it.
What I LOVED: The design and graphics, the background music, the interesting storyline. This is a well thought-out game, more detailed than most.
What I liked: Gameplay--easy to learn, tie nicely with the storyline. Each characters are well thought out, having their own likes and dislikes, quirks etc.
What I didn't like: I felt like it was a slow-moving game. You cannot decide where to build your buildings as the locations are pre-selected by the system. The mini-game of defeating the pirates a la angry birds was just not up my alley.

Pleasant game
It's definitely like "Artist Colony" where you build your village after being shipwrecked, but it's an unhurried pace (except for a few quests). The only downside for me is the stupid "Angry Birds" part where you have to get rid of pirates. "Angry Pirates" is just very unlike the rest of the game, and it throws off the tempo and continuity.

greatest strategy game,
OK I confess I am not a great gamer, but this is the first game I have been able to actually work my way through, it was so much fun for me and I am an older person, 62 years old but the rest of you kids will like it too, And you won't have to play it in "easy" like I did!
. Keeping all the workers happy is challenging, also figuring out workable floorplans in the housing, and preplanning what items to produce to ship.
But I do wish the creators of the game could add more to it so i could keep playing on with my little people in the game. I really think the game ends too.

Fun TM game
- Builder type TM, it's not a TM dash style.
- Some missions are timed but it's very doable. If you missed it, you only miss extra coins. Non timed missions you can finish it in you own time.
- Graphic and Music are okay.
- Mini game is fun and you can keep doing it for coins.
- Stocks up raw materials or finished products and sell when the demand is high to get extra coins + crown.
- What I don't like is you can't make your own colonist Master of all skills even though you schooled them and have them have experiences in all skills. So that means you can only get limited Master of All colonist.
I personally don't like dash style TM as I'm not a fast clicker, so this game is my cup of tea as I like builder type TM game.

Be Prepared to THINK.....and search!
This has become one of my favorites! The characters are graphically "fitting" for the story line...new and unknown island to learn and build upon. Pirates, Indian Princesses kidnapped, food to find, grow...building a whole new life in the unknown...and doing it successfully. You don't get any help on figuring out what to do. You have to pay attention and do some thinking as well as searching the land for your clues. LOADS of fun!

More Please
This game is very satisfying I wish there were more like it. I love the storyline and the game play and the idea of it in general. The side pirate game is a lot of fun too.
My only complaint is that it leaves me wanting more! I keep playing it over again because it's so good but I want it to be different. I want more territory, more mines and shops and treasures and customizations. I wish you could make families and produce your own settlers. I wish you could choose where things go so it could be different every time you play.
I know they probably don't want to make it too much like the sims or civilizations series but I'm yearning for those kind of games and this one left me craving it even more . This being said, it will remain a Big Fish Games favorite of mine.

Great!
I like some time management games, but most I don't like how they are set up to work. This one is different. You don't try to beat the clock for most quests. Some quests you do have a clock for, but if the clock expires, you can still fullfill the quest with no penalty. It is not that difficult, but seems to have been made for more relaxing and enjoyment. I found it addictive. The most challenging thing was using the cannons to fight the pirates. I would highly recommend you at least give this game a shot, even if you don't like most tm games.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!
I LOVE this game! I really enjoyed Artist Colony, but this is even better! I sure hope BigFish gets more like this one. I didn't want to quit playing it, but knew I needed to sleep, etc.

I wish there more more like this!
I love this game! The story is good, the pirate mini game is way fun, and the graphics are the best ever. Whenever I get tired of waiting for something, I just watch the villager's facial expressions or how they move and I'm thoroughly entertained. I think this is even better than Royal Envoy and Jack of all Tribes.
