The Promised Land
This is my first review. I normally don't do reviews, but I absolutely loved this game! I bought it within 20 minutes of starting the demo. I normally don't play sim games because I don't have the patience to sit around and wait for things to happen, nor did I like the fact that in some of them such as Virtual Villagers, I would come back to the game and find that some of the villagers had died. Not my idea of an enjoyable time. This game moved at a reasonably fast pace for a sim game. The only thing I had problems with was the mini game with the pirates. Luckily I had my son here with me, and he showed me how to do it. I liked the way they gave you little bios on all of the characters so that you could put them in the right jobs. This way you didn't find your people constantly getting sick and going to the hospital. I thought it was cute that sometimes you had to drop them next to each other to socialize otherwise they would get a little snarky. It added a human and realistic factor to the game, and I found it amusing. The expressions on their faces while they were talking made me wonder who and what they were talking about; maybe the developers rather humorous nod to how people just love to gossip and talk to one another? All in all it is a totally enjoyable experience for me, and when I am done playing, I will probably play it again and again in the future.

Fun & Entertaining Strategy Game
Similar type of game to 'Virtual Villagers' but with much quicker results. The graphics are excellent and give the game a charming quality and a lot of thought has gone into the 'personality' of the characters. The game is easy to understand and you are free to use your own strategy rather than stick to a particular order of tasks. The only down side #if you can call it that# is that, if you are quick at working out strategies, the game won't last you too long but please don't be put off by that as it is still a great game.

Better than Virtual villagers
Your people don't die or have to grow up so they work right away. Earning research is a bit slow but still very enjoyable. I couldn't believe how time flew while I was playing. Mini game is fun. Goals are not easy to achieve within time but worth the challenge. Love it and can't wait to see what happens in the end.

Loved Loved Loved it :)
I really did enjoy this game, it was a different type of game like the Kingdom Chronicles... but instead of it being levels of picking up and clearing things, it's more of just building your town, getting people. It's just one map that you deal with and grow with. I hope they make another cause Ima defo buy it too!!!

So addicting
Love this game. Better than Virtual Villagers. Graphics are great and seem so real. Once I figured out what I need to do to upgrade things I had a blast .I'm still playing , not finished yet and I think it has a very good replay value for me.,I also love the built in mini games, sort of like angry birds and you can replay them as often as you want to, to get more gold.
Just a very well made game

FABULOUS QUEST GAME - I"M HOOKED
I'm Hooked! Really fun game of challenge quests. Love the characters and their personalities. I have chosen to keep a little card on each character to remind myself of the career path each character prefers as well as the things they don't care to do. Very clever game. Some of the challenges are timed, where most aren't. This game isn't as frantic as other time management games where you are trying to beat the clock. In this game, you need to do your best to manage your resources so all of your tasks can be completed efficiently...Make sure your town folks are well fed, or they will cry if they are hungry! Also, make sure you don't sell off too many items from your warehouse - you may need them soon and have to restock.
Fun game for kids and kids at heart! Very replayable!

Great relaxing game!
I bought this the fist day it came out after playing my trial hour. I have enjoyed it very much. The only problems I had were the screen freezing up for a few seconds, but I think that was my system and not the game and at one point I was making cogs, but they would not add to my inventory. I managed to get out of it by clicking to make something else and coming back to it. Definitely one I'll play over and over!

For a while I was flustered, but then I got bored...
OK, initially I enjoyed the game - and bought it. Then I kind of got overwhelmed because the hints of what to do that pop up in the form of a tutor and the guy who keeps you alert to market prices don't tell you about important things that you need to be doing. They also don't always give good advice. He tells you something like "Sell all your corn before prices drop!" If you do it, your people starve for awhile.
Getting the right balance of produce and helpers for the kitchen is tricky, and it is best to wait and build things when you are told to - although sometimes they give you a task long before you have the resources to complete it. Sometimes tasks conflict with one another too.
The homes are little puzzles where you have to figure out how to place the rooms so that all can be accessed, and until you add on rooms for them, some of the colonists who come in will be homeless and can't work. They are very sad and mopey when they are homeless. I messed up early on and had three homeless people wandering around for the longest time!
Once I got all the major stuff done, and everything balanced and working well, it got boring. I actually fell asleep waiting for something else to happen. You can't advance to certain levels unless you complete the pirate battle mini-games. Those remind me a lot of Angry Birds. I still haven't been able to finish the last one - so I still have not completed the game. I just got tired of trying. I lean more towards games like Gardenscape, but if you enjoy Sims-style time management games, you will love this one. But only if you like keeping track of around 50 characters at the same time, and balancing a myriad of tasks. It is not simple, but can be fun.

Great Game!!
I love this time management game. Very entertaining and it'll keep you busy for a while!! I wish it was a part 2!! That's how great this game is!! The negative about the game is it need more building accessories like; quests, tasks, and jobs but other than that its a good game.

love it love it love it
hooray for more games of this style. A bit different to my tribe / other island type games yet similar enough to be easy to play and good fun.
Liked the additional 'trading', would have liked a skip on the angry birds bit but they weren't too hard so copable!
More please!
