Liked it but needed more challenge
I guess I am spoiled by Hero of the Kingdom. This was really good, just not that difficult. Would have given it 4 and 1/2 stars if that was possible.

Very Addictive!
I'm not much of an expert on these kind of games, but this one really got me stuck for hours, truthfully. It's really addictive! Whetever you prefer family genre's to action to already fantasy, you'll love this one.
Build up a mini village on your own landscape. It reminded me a little about slaves due to how exhausting the character in the game seems to have it & how hard they work for their own wealth, but it's really just a design on the game that symbolizes hundreds of years, way back in time which is easy to forget these days because year 2000 we're not even near that. LOL, at least I had this reaction to it in its very beginning..
It's very similar to a strategy game, I think. If you do not like fe-filling re-quests you'll not like this game at all.

Awsome build and control game!
Love the real moving objects and characters. The gentle colours are nice to look at. So far I have only tried the trial so I haven't experienced if it had any sort of story line that's why I rated it low, but if you purchase the game our right and it does have a good or better story line please post it and let everyone know! It's not fast paced so you won't get very far once your trial is over so you may consider buying the game if it's this cheap! I guarntee that you will LOVE this game! Enjoy!

PLEASE! More Games Like This!
I love the Virtual Villagers games, and this is an improvement over that series. Your little people don't die, and you get to have them work throughout the game. You choose when to upgrade buildings and when to use technology points. If you like the Virtual Villagers series you will love this game. I've played it over a dozen times and it is different everytime I play it!

Totally engaging
This is such a fun and entertaining game. You have the power to buy and sell goods, work the land and keep everyone healthy and fed. You actually get to know your characters in the story, what they like, what makes them happy or unhappy. I found it truly a joy to play and never wanted it to end. The number of workers is up to you, so the progress of the colony, what jobs are available is in your command. Trust me, you will enjoy it.

Amazing Sim Game!
Promised Land is one of the few games on this site I've actually purchased, and it is definitely worth the money. The visuals are spectacular and the game play is fun, if not totally unique. There are loads of quests and different tasks for you to assign your villagers. Doesn't offer much in the way of freedom, however. I would have liked the ability to control the progression of my village a little more.

very fun, very addictive
I just looooove this game! I bought it a couple of days ago and I already played 3 rounds. The fact to create and manage a community of people, with different needs and skills is very challenging. Once that you figure out the different professions and skills it becomes easier to create an efficient team of people. The graphics are great, the surroundings, the sounds (waterfall, kitchen). I wish there could have been will be more different characters (maybe in the next version!).

Cute, Too Short
This is a cute game and I enjoyed playing it, but it took only about 10 hours to finish, wasn't very challenging and has very annoying pop-ups. This isn't a game you can play, go do some chores and come back with everything going. When the pop-up comes up (quite frequently) it stops the game and doesn't go away until you click it. I wouldn't purchase again or recommend.

Fun Game with Good Games Within the Game
Wish there were more games like this! It is just a fun game to play - building a colony, making sure your workers are happy and healthy, doing what they like to do, have enough food, gain knowledge to increase the colony, and trade with the main land. Within that are shoot the pirate games and more.
