Had to play it straight through to the end!
I love a game that gives you customized control over difficulty settings, like glint, skip, hint recharge and sparkles. This one even gives you a variable slider for each of the above! Plus you can set the quality to suit the speed of your computer, and there are several separate sound settings, all with sliders. So far, so good.
The graphics aren't bad, the sound quality is good (except for the very repetitious music#, and the live actors and voice-overs are well done. The puzzles are not overly challenging, but the HOS's are extremely interactive, which I loved. This is more of an adventure game with an HOS here and there.
This game's real strength, however, is in the story. Kudos to the developer #Go gi Games) for actually writing a story, not just some sketchy outline to string people along through the puzzles. All the puzzles have to do with, and support, the story. It was so compelling I had to play right through to find out what happens.
The only reason I didn't give this game five stars was because of the black-screen pauses between each and every scene. Sometimes nearly a minute long, that got a bit monotonous. I'd rather stare at the current scene until the next one is loaded than a black screen. This might not be an issue on faster computers, though.
I highly recommend this one.

There's always a "but..." isn't there?
I usually don't post reviews but for this one I'm making an exception.
First of all, I appreciate that the storyline is fresh. My favorite games are hiidden object games but I sometime get tired of castles, witches and such. Second, the graphics in this sometimes make me wonder how much are photos and how much are computer generated. If it's both, the blending of the two is outstanding.
This being said and admitting that I haven't finished the game yet, I come to my "but..."
I don't like the icon signaling a switch to another scene. I can understand an arrow or feet walking or something that points or shows movement. This game has a clock with hands going around. #And it just occurred to me that is might be a compass. Still doesn't work for showing movement/direction.#
The next thing I don't like are the HOS. I know the big trend is to make them interactive these days, but they're not consistent. Accessing some parts of the HOS will open the inventory, some won't even when you need items from it.
I also admit to having a pet peeve about words not being used properly or not matching in the game. If a hint tells you to pick up the red ball, it should be listed as that, not as a red orb, for example. So far, I've found less of this in this game than most.
But...in the back apartment that is behind the burning building, is a room with lab equipment. On the floor is a book that when clicked on, explains it's on etymology, the study of insects. Uh, no, etymology is the study of the history of words. *Entomology* is the study of bugs.
Picky? Maybe. But it's sloppy. And irritating. And saddening that no one in the development process, the alpha testing, the beta testing, wasn't curious/knowledgeable enough to catch it.

Great Game!
I really do not care for HO's but since there are very few new adventure large file games available I play them. This game is not the typical HO after Ho after Ho. There is so much to do! I think this is the very first game I've played where every single object found is played. There is actually a reason to find it, even in the HO scenes.
Good story the mini games are somewhat easy, liked the music and the voice overs in the cut scenes. I know alot of people skip the cut scenes but I think they just enhance the story.
The only thing I didn't like was there is delay between scenes, not a smoothe transaction, like if you went through a door it took a few seconds for the room to appear.
All in all I really really liked this game and wish there were more like it for people that want more adventure than HOS's.

It's a practical and logical game
It was the best hidden object game I played. The only thing is that it is quite short!

Inject me with MORE!!
Totally brilliant game with great storyline, and superb sound tracks to keep you absorbed throughout.
Lets hope the sequel is not too far away-can't wait to get immersed in another in the series.
Very unique HOS, a few puzzles, voice overs, and spellbinding music make it a big 5 stars

Love It!
I found the storyline very different than the other games. The graphics are incredible. There are some puzzles, maybe not as much as hidden object games, but they are challenging. I hope they do a sequel.

Surprisingly Fun!
I got this game because I just seemed to come across it over and over and decided to finally give it a shot and I'm so glad I did. I really don't know how anyone wouldn't at least like this game. I loved it. I played it all day, never closed it, just took bathroom breaks & did my daily housework.
The HO scenes in this game were my favorite style and I'v never seen them done quite as well as they are in this game. They were interactive but with a real purpose. Along the lines of the object i need is in a safe but the key is locked in a cage, so when I find the bolt cutters I can get in the cage to get the key and open the safe. But it was usually a MUCH longer chain of actions in the game. Of course some of the interactions were silly. Like planting a seed and watering it so the key you need will grow out of the flower bud. That gave me a good laugh. But that kind of silliness is ok because most of the time it made sense. Also another entertaining aspect is the bum you meet a few times. He's a riot. Seriously, if you get this game, the part under the overpass, look at that guy before you start talking to him, just take in his stance and facial expression. Its hysterical.
The length was fine, not the longest game I'v ever played, but not short either. I can't give an accurate time because I paused a few times. But I don't feel cheated by the length, so for me that's what matters. I recommend giving this game a chance. I bet you'll like it.

No Logic at all
This game is so illogical I finally deleted it.

Weird....
I really like this theme as Im sick of the witches, haunted houses and such in most hidden object games and loved the news in the background following along with the story because it made it feel like it was a real virus attack like when swine flu or avian bird flu was all over the news a couple years ago.
I loved the hidden object layout where everything you picked up helped discover something else in the scene. I also liked the pace of the game and exploring this creepy quarantined virus ridden area.
HOWEVER...this game is extremely short. Im talking 3 hours max to play and the ending is there for a standard edition but in no way fulfilling in any way. I wonder if the Collectors edition had an ending that showed them making the cure or theresa being tested for the cure etc but instead it had a news reporter at the end talking as if a sequel will be coming up and there was no news on whether the virus was caught and contained. For a game where the whole thing is trying to find the girl who holds the cure and then finding her and having no resolution is really disappointing especially since we never learn what the virus was or where it stemmed from or what it did to people.
BUT the thing is, I REALLY like this game. Its weird how I can be so disappointed and still love this game at the same time. Gogii were going in the right direction with this game as it was an out of the box theme but the fact it was shortened with no resolution was very disappointing. I also am baffled at the fact it was almost 1gb and so short. I guess it was the amount of cut scenes and real people around and I did enjoy the game play but since I love forensic science stuff, I really wanted to know how it was cured, what were the symptoms and other things I feel they shouldn't have left out...its like they ran out of ideas so just cut it short...bummer
