Great HOG! This game is exactly what I look for in a HOG. The Hidden Object scenes are challenging without being frustrating, the storyline and graphics are great (I jumped at least once during the demo), and there are a number of other puzzles along with the hidden object scenes to keep it interesting. I only played the demo, but wish I could have played more! Very tempted to buy the game. June 7, 2012
Highfive! Surprisingly good! I've found this game by pure accident and I must say that it provides much more fun then it's priced. Overall addictive and visually good game! To developers team: carry on this way guys, I'm expecting to see more games from you! June 8, 2012
Rite of Passage: The Perfect Show Collectors Edition Finally after a few days of not so good games here we have a game that is nicely done and entertaining.Graphically it was bright and clear. The sounds of the environment was good the only annoying factor was the music it was repetitive. The narration and voice overs were well acted. The HOG's were another story some of the items listed weren't so easy to find which is better makes you look harder for the items listed.Storyline of the game was really good and intriguing.I did enjoy and fun with this game during the trial that after the time was up I bought it right away.Try this game out it doesn't disappoint. Puppet Show meets the Pied Piper! Original ideas are rare to come by as proven by this game. Once again we have to rescue our victims, save a town and solve a mystery and deal with a puppetshow. Before I begin, I would like to comment on the subject matter of the story which I found to be a bit disturbing. Like many people who indulge in PC games, I too enjoy mystery, murder and mayham when the supernatural is involved. However when horror fiction involves little children being kidnapped by a creepy man in a playground, it really draws too much on real life especially when the vicitm's name is Amber. I just think developers should be more sensitive to topics involving missing children and creepy men in games. Moving along, the game offers two play modes and there are voice overs used as well. Story revolves around the mysterious disapearance of children, a puppet show and what I imagine an act of revenge on a town. Graphic and visuals were not as sharp and crisp as many other games I have played but I did like the artwork very much. Color was added to various scenes which is rare in dark games and overall the game had a very good look to it. There are voice overs that were very good and I especially enjoyed the musical track which was well composed and added an overall atmosphere to the gaming experience. Rites of Passage is a standard HOPA with really nothing special to offer other than a familiar storyline, inventory items to pick up and minigames to play. In other words, same ole same ole.... The HO scenes are junk-piled and are interactive. HOS graphics are not sharp but items were not too difficult to find. You have a journal that also outlines your objectives and you also need to collect 55 masks throught the game. Unfortunately there is no map and alot of backtracking is required. I thought the minigames were very well designed and corresponded to the story. They were colorful and imaginative but unfortunately were very easy to do. I wish that a little more challenge was put into this game. I really enjoyed the overall look and feel but I did find it easy to play. I expect that many Hard-core players who try the demo will not be overly enthusiastic about spending the extra pennies on the CE version especially when the bonus section is locked and the SG only shows three chapters. Personally I dont like to spend money when I dont know what the extras include. I will therefore save my pennies for a more interesting game and wait for the SE version to come out. However fans of Adventure HOGs will most likely enjoy this rather stereo type game that does hold some merit when it comes to visuals and actual gameplay. I on the other hand will go and replay the original Puppet Show series which I found to be much more entertaining. June 7, 2012
Amazing Wonderful Engaging Stunning Obsessive Mesmerizing Enjoyable :) AWESOME game. From the very first minutes of the demo one gets caught in the extremely colorful world of this story. Step by step, it makes you wonder what is going to happen next, guiding you through various challenges, perfectly well-balanced when it comes to difficulty and you just realize how the time easily passed while you were heading to the next objective. The HO scenes are very sweet and interesting, with a lot of kinda surprising details and micro-tasks (that's what makes me simply love the game). But my special praise goes to the mini-games. They are just fantastic and super inventive! I must admit that some of them were slightly problematic to me, but the more challenge, the more satisfaction after getting it finished, I suppose. ;) Sound & graphic are fabulous, everything seems quite well integrated and connected. Finally, I consider the game totally worth buying and can't wait playing it to the end. :) June 10, 2012
Magical and inspiring!! Love the game! Most of all, I liked the scene with the big, magical tree! I know, I know - not something most people would point out, but I just love trees and had to mention it :) Aside from that, I loved the art style, the pacing and the general feel of the game. Finished it without any hints and going through the CE chapter now. June 9, 2012
Game with everything! This game was right up my street. Was a bit concerned about the storyline to begin with ( Missing children does give me the creeps), but it was more supernaturnal than spooky and I knew I was going to save them so that bothered me a lot less than I thought. The graphics were really good, the HOS were balanced and some items so well hidden that they did provide a challenge, which was a welcome change. The puzzles stretched me and were varied so again fab. The story kept me interested right to the end, and in to the bonus game which although short provided a nice twist in the tale. The game in total took me about 3-4 hours, which is good as I do play quite quickly, so all in all a very enjoyable and worthwhile game to play! June 12, 2012
OMG Finally...A game worth Every Cent! Brilliant! When I have to pull out pad and pencil to work through puzzles, I know I've got a winner. Loved the splashes of bright color in this dark and gloomy game. Loved hunting th e masks as well, I didn't find them all but got pretty darn close. The challenge level was up there but no serious frustrations. I just really enjoyed this on every level: sound effects, music, graphics, HOS, actors, not new kinds of puzzles but definately better & with a twist, not to much back tracking, great story, and a great ending. But I can't help but feel a sequel coming, which I will promptly buy. Thank you BFG! June 9, 2012
It is the perfect show! I played my hour & was disappointed when it was over. The graphics are amazing & it's a very well done game. I would highly recommend it & I am definitely buying it. June 9, 2012
New Favorite!!! After several of the last CE offerings from the BFG were bit on average side, I started this one with low expectation, although I read several good reviews. Boy, how wrong I was!! After playing through first 15mins of the game I was drawn into the city of Everlake and this was instant buy for me. Beautiful graphic, quality voice over, great story, superb bonus game, WOW factor, this game has it all!! Thank you Big fish! June 9, 2012
