Unusual... In A Good Way This game is not you're everyday Hidden Object Game. It's setting and storyline make it quite intriguing. Here are my thoughts: Good Parts: The Setting The Storyline- you set to trael back in time to correct the wrongs of one of Tesla's inventions Quickly rechargng Skip button Being able to connect with ghost Tesla OK Parts: I say this with every hidden object game but... The puzzles. Some were easy and fun, but some were annoying and difficult. Bad Parts: Some of the sounds of the game. They drove me insane, like the sound when the hint isn't recarged yet. Slow hint recharge drags the game on a little Overall, this game is quite unusual. It's great if you're looking for something different, and I would love to recommend it! May 26, 2012
Fun for the whole family Tesla and mystery in the same sentence... I had to give this game a try and I wasn't disappointed. The animation is fun to look at and the characters are well done. Slightly too much conversation for me though. At the beginning Tesla says he will be there for help and I wish he would stop interfering with my adventure and just wait for me to ask him something! It's a light, fun game with nice artwork. Definitely rated E for everyone! May 26, 2012
Delightful game, the dialogue does diminish a bit after demo. The first 20 mins of this game was mostly cutscenes and dialogue and to say it was annoying was an understatement but then I stuck with it and I am very glad I did. I completed the first chapter in 30 mins so thought it would be a short game but it was a good length SE 5-6hrs. There still is a lot of dialogue which they should have edited and put some in the journal but at least you could skip the voiceover as I read it faster than he talked. The plot was very interesting and certainly very different about telsa as you time travel to sort out a mistake that resulted in your world being unable to see colours. There is no choice of gameplay difficulty which results in handholding ? on screen goal objectives as well as it recorded in the diary. There were sparkles on H O scenes and slight sparkles throughout on objects. But there was no handholding in puzzles and you could bring up the info if you wanted it, which was lovely to see. There was 8 different hidden object scenes and all of them were repeated, so you play 16 scenes in all. But most of them weren?t junk pile and were nice to look at, with colour and quite sharp graphics like the whole of the game. There was also two find 12 of ?x? scenes. There were a lot of puzzles and some really old school ones ? match pairs, match colour wires, connect the dots, gears etc. You did have to repeat one puzzle four times which I didn?t like (move different switches to combine the right colours in symbols). Most were easy but the repeating one and a couple were about medium difficulty. Gameplay was on the easy side, backtracking was about minimum for a HOPA. I really enjoyed the settings, especially later with the bright blue sky as it doesn?t stay without colour for that long. Although nicely concluded, after ?the end? there was a suggestion that this could become a series of games and if it does I will certainly be buying the next one. If they edited the dialogue a lot, didn?t repeat H O scenes or puzzles then my rating would have been higher. May 27, 2012
Not a game for me - too much dialogue This is from a developer I do not know, Persha Studia & I am sorry to say I was underwhelmed. The voiceovers are endless & after 5 minutes I wanted to smack Tesla around the head & yell ?will you shut up?. There is no choice of gameplay so expect sparkles & glints, the hint recharges at around 45 seconds. The graphics are crisp & the artwork well drawn, rather bluish but that is because colour has been drained from the world. You get a journal with the story & clues, a task list & you will pick up maps; these are not interactive but do give the layout of your current area. In addition the maps have pins & if you click on one it will show you where it relates to & any pertinent information from the journal. There are not a lot of hidden object scenes; during my 40 minutes of play I encountered one, some were well hidden. There were more tasks & ranged from very easy, match pairs, match colours, put a picture together to ?I have no idea what I am doing? (trying to get the Tesla box started). Anyway this is definitely not for me simply because of the interminable dialogue even though it is skippable. May 26, 2012
I really enjoyed this game! I have to admit, I had my doubts when I first started but I found that I really enjoyed playing this game! I thought the HOS were clear and the puzzles a good variety of difficulty. Voice overs were fine as was the music - neither of which I really pay much attention to. The storyline was interesting and I didn't feel there was much 'back and forth' to find items. The hint button was 'free' if you had to move from place to place only. For a regular game #not CE# this game was well worth the price in gameplay as well as length. Have fun! May 27, 2012
LOOKS LIKE A GOOD ONE............ This review is based on 60min trial. As mentioned in game precis- your world has lost it's colour- therefore the game starts out in a very drab world... that said graphics are superb, nothing is hard to find but you have to look for it (mouse -over#. There is only one game- play mode but there is no hand holding here, the only sparkles I came across were for the h/o's which have a slight interactive concept. H/O scenes are clear and fairly easy although I think there were only 2 in the 60 min trial. You obtain a journal/diary that has the usual items- map, story and objectives. The map is not interactive but does show where you have been. I found the music very atmospheric and appropriate to what was happening on screen. The voice-overs are excellent- not too exaggerated, there is a dialogue box as well, so you can keep the sound down if you wish. One interesting thing to note in the OPTIONS, is that you can choose to accellerate the dialogue- I used this#because you can read faster than they can speak# and found it to be really helpful because this is one game where it seems the dialogue is intrinsic to the game - not to be skipped- although there is a skip button to use if preferred. Hints didn't take too long to recharge #unlimited# and the hint button will point you in the right direction without penalty out of H/O scenes. Now, to the story which I must admit I didn't really focus on- Tesla's ghost appears to his daughter #via phone)- hey, it's a game....... and it seems her goal is to restore his time machine, which failed, sent him into the Ether and removed colour from the world so I guess she has to help him fix it. Gameplay is smooth, no probs. Artwork/visuals I must say were really good. I can't say beautiful because it's a world without colour, that being said the game is not black/white/ grey- just drab, but this is part of the beginning of the story and it does change. To sum up, I think this game should be good, I really enjoyed what I played and will be using a credit- different story line to the usual- seems to be lots of fixing and finding, not too much back-tracking. I think this game has alot of promise but as I've only played 60 mins, please only base this review on that basis. As always, give it a go and hope you enjoy. May 26, 2012
yeah time machines!! Played 20 minutes of the demo and it's a buy for me. A little hand holding and tasks are clear but still challenging. There is a bit of running back and forth but that might just be how I go about things. Storyline is linear, you only pick up objects that you will need immediately- at least from what I played. More of a seek and find game than hidden object. I love time machine games.... May 26, 2012
Give it a try! i don't normally write reviews, but I liked this game so much I felt compelled to do so. When I read the reviews about too much dialogue I almost bypassed it as I don't like excessive dialogue or reading myself. However I am a science girl by nature and I am intrigued with Tesla and free energy. I decided to give the free trial a shot and I was really glad I did. I did not find the dialogue overly irritating and the references to the engineering and mechanics did not bore me at all. In fact I was so engrossed in the game I stayed up until 2:30 a.m to play! So my conclusion is that while this kind of storyline may appeal to eveyone, if you like science and you like this kind of topic and you like mecanical side of things, give it a shot. I'm glad I did! To the developers: I would LOVE to see a sequel!!! May 27, 2012
Best Ever!! 10 out of 10! Incredible game. All of the elements that make a great game are all 10's! I mean it. The storyline is the best I've ever seen in a game. For taking place in a fantasy world, it makes total sense & is believable within the context of the game. The historical factor is very cool too. The graphics are second to none. They are full & detailed, without being cluttered. The details are rich & vibrant. The locations were always fun, interesting and full of things to explore. Objectives were clear, and due to the incredible locations, navigation was always easy. You never had those dreaded moments where you didn't know where to go, or what to do next. It was just the opposite. The inventory was perfectly balanced. It was always full, but you never really had to scroll to locate forgotten objects. Therefore, the game gave you choices and was not linear. The objects were always logical as to their usage. The best part for me was that the HINT button contained a hologram of Tesla himself, who would pop out from time to time and speak to you. I absolutely LOVE games that contain other human beings as it keeps you from getting that lonely feeling of solitude (as with MYST). Which by the way contained some "beautiful" Galileo type machines, but in this game, they were never aggravating to figure out. You always knew what to do, or if not, then the game provided the help you needed not too far away. The game also featured frequent animations and voice-overs which always served to move the game along. The Time Travel parts of the game were fun, never knowing where you were going to end up. The animations were even cool, because it didn't torture you with an endless Dr. Who tunnel, instead it was just a brief animation (appropriate blue tunnel lol) and in a flash, there you were in another time in history - Excellent! The HOGs were great too. Just the right amount & frequency with pretty easy to find objects of fair size, not too dark, and with no punishments for missed clicks. Plus the HINT timer recharged pretty quickly. The puzzles were great too. Again, just the right amount, not too difficult, a couple of new ones thrown in & appeared at all the right times and places. Lastly, the length of the game was terrific! Just when I thought it was about to end, boom, you would travel to another time and place. So cool. Overall, this game was an absolutely pleasure to play. It lived up to (or for me Exceeded) its genre of "Adventure game", meaning playing it was like going on an actual adventure. Literally EVERYTHING about the game was top notch. And the game never, ever tried your nerves, not even once. A complete and total joy to play. I really hope the developers make many more like this. Oh, and the end credits suggested we may not have seen the last of Tesla. Let's hope not. July 22, 2012
Excellent Very good game, really test the searching skills. problem is the hour was up to quickly, I will defiantly buy this one. Great story really makes you think about what you have to do next. One of the best HO games I have played May 26, 2012
