Same Old, Same Old
I played the demo which took about 40 min. Graphics are okay but nothing special. No click penalty, Can change your option of game play during the game if you are playing on casual and get bored you can change to more advanced to make it more challenging. What I found ho hum about this game is the same old storylines. Demons, curses, skulls, blood and the same typical boring stuff. I guess I am getting tired of this theme. It is not original and is most predictable. The puzzles were nothing challenging, the HO scenes easy. No interacting but a least you have to find something you need to continue in the game. I personally will not purchase this game especially as a CE. I might wait for a daily special. I won't recommend or not as you must try the demo yourself. Happy Gaming.

Nothing New Here.
I played this game before, but it had a different name. Same plot - people are dying, family curse, witch is responsible, Uncle's estate... really, how many variations of this same old storyline can developers come up with.
On the plus side the witch was somewhat young and good looking (until her face morphs). Much better than those old and decrepit looking witches that I've seen time and time again.
I thought that the graphics were a bit bland in this game - hand drawn that look like they've been hand drawn.
Hint button charges rather quickly, but the standard "nothing to do here" variety of hints... nothing exceptional.
Three modes of game play to choose from.
To be honest, this game really didn't catch my interest... I didn't even complete the trial.
Remember: try before you buy. Whether or not you like this HOG will be a matter of preference.

Heavy HOS but nice game
I love adventure games and I purchased this game on the recommendation of another gamer who stated that it was heavy on the adventure and light on the HOS. It's actually the opposite so if that's what you're looking for, you'll love this game. I was a little fatigued at the end with the endless hidden objects but the graphics and plot made up for it. Gorgeous scenes, fun puzzles and as much as I didn't like the HOS, they were beautifully done. I do recommend this game for all those who love HOPAs.

Mysteriously Spooky!
Even after playing just a few minutes of this game, I was sold on it. It has beautiful graphics, great storyline and voice overs. Looks like there will be a good balance of HO scenes and adventure. Haven't played enough yet to see how well the puzzles or mini games might be but this just looks like a well enough developed game that I would definitely purchase. As a detective, you must find out what happened to the lawyer of an heir whose family has been under a witch's curse and there are times you will encounter her ghost. A game that should keep you interested!

WOW!
The last few CE games I have purchased haven't been worth it, so I was VERY cautious about spending 2 credits on this one, but the demo (which is wayyy too short)hooked me.
I am SOOOO glad I did!
The game play time was really substantial, which I liked a lot. the visual effects were gorgeous, as well as the music.
The puzzles varied in their difficulty, and I liked that.
The plot may have been done on lots of games, but hey... I like me a good murder / curse mystery, LOL!
It had a couple twists at the end that I didn't see coming.
This is well worth the CE!

boring and dated and done to death
Only played the demo for 15 mins - very predicable game play for experienced players. An old standard haunting ghost saga - no love or much thought seems to have been invested into art work nor original ideas - its all been done before, over and over again. Poor HO scenes with completely random objects, basic boring, not able to interact with objects within the Hos and the 1st puzzle I came to was a swapping format, that I have seen many many times in the past - this game feels outdated by 2 yrs - not for me

Great game!
As a detective, you have to find a killer who is terrorizing a small town. Lots of interesting characters and great VOS. HOS non-interactive, and a lot of them, but not too junky and fairly clear. Lots of seek and find, too. Beautiful graphics, nice, tho repetitive, music. Good puzzles. No map, so you have to do some walking. Good length, with the bonus chapter that wraps up the story, over 6 hours on casual. Enjoyable game.

Fun game, not gross
I enjoy the "old fashioned" games, I guess. The graphics are clear, the drawings very good, not grainy or blurry to me, and I don't have the best eyesight. The hidden object scenes were not too difficult. Sure, the storyline is familiar, but this isn't supposed to be great literature. The reason some of the scenes have a grayish tone is because it is nighttime. The voiceovers were good and the music was okay. I don't listen to the music much when I'm playing these games, because it is distracting to me. I didn't find anything in the trial that was objectionable. This is a game that will go on my "to buy" list.

many artists?
I had a kind of odd experience with this game. It's almost as if they had several different artist working on it with completely different styles. The best example is when you finally open the cemetary gates and step from a sparsely colored town into a lush green very detailed cemetary. This happens many times throughout the game and was sometimes a real distraction for me. Otherwise I found the game somewhat ordinary.. not really in a bad way just that it is right up there with other games of this genre. . The HO scenes are list based, numerous and repeat. The storyline is of a curse that is used as a cover for crimes. Find the murderer. I found the game play quite enjoyable... lots of inventory objects and you cover a lot of ground in this one. You ride cable cars, blow up walls and there is even an underwater scuba diving adventure. So it was a good, rather wierdly drawn, enjoyable game. Not outstanding but not poorly done either. I would say satisfactory...3.5 maybe?

Very short demo!
Hmmm, not a bad game for a first time dev. Nice SG, clear graphics (although graphics are a bit old school), easy HOGs (a few items are extremely small), very simple games so far, very nice voice-overs.
Did not have a problem with the hint system giving me a hint when I asked for it. Maybe I was just lucky I still had something to do in the scene. Loved the old cars, but I'm an old lady and it took me back in time a bit (okay, not that old!).
Still had 21 minutes left on the demo when it ended, so don't know how long the game really is. I prefer seeing all the chapters in the demo, even if I can't open them. I also prefer a full hour demo. This one didn't give you much time to get into the game. For that reason, I'm thinking it must be fairly short.
The game just didn't pull me in from the beginning, but maybe it picks up later. Think I will put this one in my puddle and think on it until I find out the length and whether or not they fix the problems others have had.
Thanks for the reviews.
