Very short demo! Hmmm, not a bad game for a first time dev. Nice SG, clear graphics (although graphics are a bit old school), easy HOGs (a few items are extremely small), very simple games so far, very nice voice-overs. Did not have a problem with the hint system giving me a hint when I asked for it. Maybe I was just lucky I still had something to do in the scene. Loved the old cars, but I'm an old lady and it took me back in time a bit (okay, not that old!). Still had 21 minutes left on the demo when it ended, so don't know how long the game really is. I prefer seeing all the chapters in the demo, even if I can't open them. I also prefer a full hour demo. This one didn't give you much time to get into the game. For that reason, I'm thinking it must be fairly short. The game just didn't pull me in from the beginning, but maybe it picks up later. Think I will put this one in my puddle and think on it until I find out the length and whether or not they fix the problems others have had. Thanks for the reviews. August 10, 2012
Ho Hum I feel, after playing the Demo, that I've played several games just like this, even down to the 60s car outside the fence in the first scene. Every task is like every other game including places needing keys, light, knobs or something to use on the dog. I can do the HOS almost without looking at the lists, it's the same old same old. The graphics are good, though. I could almost smell the mold down in the well. Still, I wouldn't buy this as a CE, maybe as a sale game. August 10, 2012
Pros and cons... Pros: well let me start with the cons ok? Be careful with that cursor: no significant change when a new location is available; Also: i'm always wondering why if you put, let's say, an helmet back to his head, a dungeon' grill open somewhere and voila! you have a piece of a broken mirror...poor relation...A lot of useless back and forth also just to add time to the game... Pros: well may be the 3 stars i gave to this game... August 15, 2012
WOW! Got my Money's Worth! Sometimes even good games fade towards the end but not this one. This game did not falter with its story line. The Bonus Chapter was revealing. The art work was terrific and I appreciated the ability to swap modes. I am one who likes not having to resort to the SG and the mode switch allowed me to bootstrap myself from a hopelessly lost status. Good work development team you pulled off a great production. Still enjoying spooky games! I know that some gamers are tired of the spooky, haunted, witchy or ghost-ridden games, but that seems to be the favored genre of hidden-object/adventure. I, for one, am still enjoying them and do expect quality. When I get quality, I'll buy the game. I like this game for the storyline, the graphics, the challenge is not too hard but interesting. I play for fun, not to be frustrated. I will buy the CE in this case because sometimes the bonus game ties a story together, as well as extending playing time. Definitely (as always) try before you buy, but if you're not expecting to enjoy it, you probably won't. August 11, 2012
Nice balance After playing the trial for 40 minutes I decided to buy this game, it has a nice balance of HOG and adventure which I love. The story line is about like most others, graphics are good, even the music was fitting. Its nice to change midstream to advanced level mode, it gave it a bit more of a challange. August 10, 2012
Chalenging enough , interesting hidden object game I will probably purchase this game. Was fun and interesting. I like a chalenge but not to be frustrated. This fills that catagory. August 10, 2012
Fun Game I liked this game and found the storyline, while a usual type, interesting to follow. The ghost of the witch is kind of funky, especially when it leaves the scene. The art itself was very well done and much crisper than some of the other creepy adventure/hog. The colors were vibrant. The music was getting what seemed faster and wanting you to move faster on your search. Didn't quite finish the demo, but I rarely do because I take my time to explore to see if I really want to buy it. I found the hos items rather easy to find and didn't test out the hint button. The strategy guide was helpful and integrated and easy to use. There was no finding "extras" and no map which was disappointing. But all in all, I enjoyed the game (played casual mode) and would recommend it. August 10, 2012
Demo+Disappointed=Liked with Reservations Lots of artwork, objects, puzzles. Everything seemed too small and cluttered for playing on laptop more than ample screen size. Usually play on hardest level, without skipping puzzles or using hints and had to change to Casual not due to the difficulty level but rather the clutter and running about. Will read other full game length reviews. Not a buy for me. Enjoy! -Mama Mia- August 10, 2012
2 1/2 Stars 15 minutes into the demo, and this is definitely not something of interest to me. After playing games like MCF: Dire Grove, SOM: Song of the Phoenix, Surface & Grim Tales, this is just, um.. blas. As another reviewer stated, this is good for someone just starting out, but not if you've been around a while. I recommend for newcomers only. August 15, 2012
