Fantastic Adventure, Fragmented Objects and Puzzle Game Well, it has been a while since we have seen an interactive FROG and I didnt realise just how much I had missed them. The story line is not unique but it is supported by good voice overs and in my opinion some very stunning life like graphics. In some of the cut scenes, artwork turns to hand drawn comic style and then changes back to some very well done artwork and visuals. Game features three game modes, a note book that also a task list and a hint system that will tell you what to do and where to go. The only thing that was missing was a map. Basically the game is an Adventure game where you will click around to pick up items that you will need along your way. You then come across some really great HO scenes that are Fragmented as well as interactive. You also get to combine objects in your inventory list. There is much to do on this adventure and you do encounter some pretty quirky characters. There are also achievments to get along the way so it does make it interesting gameplay. I loved the variety of mini-games, many that we have seen before but always fun to play. This game really will appeal to almost everyone and I for one really did find game play relatively challenging as to figure out where to go and what to use. The storyline could have been a bit more interesting but what is there not to love; Adventure, HO, Fragemented objects, puzzles, mini-games and achievments, all wrapped up in a SE package. Kudos to BFG. August 26, 2012
Good but short I bought and played the entire game and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not a huge fan of the comic-type cartoon drawings, but it didn't detract too much from the artwork for me. The mini-games were interesting - some usual, some different. The hint system recharges fairly quickly and tells you exactly what to do/where to do it. You have a journal but no map, which doesn't really matter because there isn't a lot of back-and-forth, everything you need to do is pretty much in one place. The only downside is that it's very short. If it were longer, I would easily have given it 5 stars! I August 26, 2012
Nice change from the usual HOS games This game is really more adventure/puzzle than hidden object, which is a plus in my book. The few "hidden object" scenes are really finding fragments to help assemble objects which you then use to find parts to other objects until finally you find the one object that you really need. The hint feature, should you choose to use it, tells you everything you need to know so there is no need to refer to a walkthrough if you get stuck. And it recharges fairly quickly The only downside (the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars) is that it is not very long. I completed it all in a morning. I like games that will last me most of the day, or two half-days. The story line was very simple, and the play was very linear. But all in all, I enjoyed playing the game and do not regret the purchase. August 26, 2012
Enjoyably Easy Excellent Graphics, smooth flow to the gameplay, music was pleasant and unobtrusive, and voiceovers were well done. A nice mix of Adventure style searching, and fragmented HOGs, with lots and lots of unusual, but very easy Puzzles. The game felt slightly short, but was totally captivating. My teenage Grandson practically pushed me off the chair so he could finish the Game. A nice way to spend a rainy afternoon. August 26, 2012
A FROG (fragmented) games! from the creators of Sonya CE and Haunted Hotel series. I like the games from its crystal clear graphics, great voice over, smart hint (actually tell U what to do next), but animation is little disappointed! there are few Fragmented scenes- more to adventure! puzzle are easy some are not Anyway i like it P/S - try it, then U know :) August 25, 2012
A beautiful game, but MUCH TOO SHORT I really enjoyed playing this one, but was very frustrated when I reached the final scene after only three hours of playing at a leisurely pace. Beautiful graphics, beautiful drawings, good music, nice storyline... this game has so much going for it. There are no HOS, only FROGS and they are not hard to finish. The puzzles and minigames are the classic ones, rather on the easy side. There is no map, but you don't really one as there is not a lot of going back and forth. The hint button comes in usefully, but you don't really need it often as the entire game is not hard to go through. So, what can I say? The game is beautiful and charming, but it is WAY TOO SHORT. On the one hand, I would recommend it for its beauty, but with barely three hours of gameplay, I feel rather cheated. August 26, 2012
FROG TASTIC! I really love this type of game so am totally biased. I don't comment on graphics as they are not important to me. The main things I find important are the content of the game and ease of playing in terms of layout and not going so slow it takes half an hour to move the cursor a millimetre! This game did not disappoint. There should be more games like this out there. You can play on three levels and there is a tutorial if you want one. Lots of mini games which have been seen before but not bad and not really difficult. What I loved was the fragmented hidden objects and you have to completely find all the parts to one thing to find the others in the scenes. Great. Played for about 20 minutes and definitely going to buy it. August 26, 2012
A puzzler's delight This game was fun. I'm always a bit wary of adventure games as I often find myself frustrated at trying to find what to do next. Not so with this game. In some ways it's kind of a "hybrid". Adventure in style but with lots of help and pretty linear. Very few HOG scenes and those that were, were fragments that were used on the scene. As previous reviewers have mentioned the game is short although the puzzles, while familiar are challenging and if you don't skip them, the game is not so short. The game is very much puzzle driven. I didn't mind the cartoonish graphics as they are consistent and well drawn and fit in with the nebulous character of the spirits one meets along the way. Also the storyline broadens a bit to add some extra incentive. Not tons of motivation to achieve the goal but more than at first blush. The achievements did lend an extra element of fun. You don't need a map or a strategy guide as the hint button tells you exactly what to do next if you're really stuck. It really is about the puzzles. Nice blending of puzzles into a plot. No need for walkthroughs, minimal back and forth. Key actually is to not overthink this one! Very relaxing but not boring. I recommend this game. August 26, 2012
Fun Diversion Graphics are drawn, but very crisp, mix of Puzzle and Fragmented Hidden Object, but FROG with a puzzle included. For non-frog fans, BIG stuff to find. Journal, no map, fun puzzles, gears, steam pipes, and jigsaws. Hints recharge quickly. I rather enjoyed it. Biggest confusion was the elevator. Go in, change floors, LEAVE! Don't return to floor you were originally on first. Maybe I was still waking up. lol August 26, 2012
Short game. The only reason I'm not giving this game 5 stars is because it's extremely short. I felt shocked when I got to the end because it ended so suddenly. I took me two and 1/2 hours to finish. Other than that, it was great. August 26, 2012
