A long way from heaven The title catches your attention, and sucks you into trying the game. But from where I'm sitting, somewhere between heaven and h*ll, I'd rather be crucified than play this game. (Well, not really, but it's just that bad.) The music is horrible, and not suited for the game theme at all. The story line is weak, and the text is grammatically poor (How dear [sic] you talk to me like this.) The matching icons have creatures that are too large for the tiles, with not enough negative (empty) space between them, so the game board is just too busy to play on. As a free game, I would refuse to download it. But then that is just one humble soul's opinion. October 2, 2012
Good M3 for Young and Beginner Players My review is based on the one-hour trial, during which I completed 18 game boards and achieved the second level entitled "Hellhound". This games doesn't have a timer-the first indication that it's for younger/beginner players. While the graphics are bright and the colors vivid, the icons are not scary-a good thing. The drawbacks to this game are that the movement of the icons is jerky rather than fluid, when you make a cascade move you cannot make another move until all icons above fall into place, when you make a great move the word EXCELLENT! appears upon the board, impeding game play until it disappears, and other than M3, there is a slide-the-piece-puzzle between levels, which you have to guess at as there is no guideline given as to what it is supposed to look like. In the 2nd level, Hellhound, as the tiles are cleared they expose the graphics underneath, making it actually difficult to see the tiles that are not yet cleared. The power ups are plentiful, but seldom where you need them. A good way for new players to get the hang of match 3, but presents no challenge to the seasoned player. September 20, 2012
Okay, but there are better match 3's I'm not sure how many readers here have come across the webcomic Misfile, but the main character of this match 3 game reminds me much Rumsiel, but they have been banished from Heaven to correct a mistake for very different reasons. In this game, our lazy angelic worker, Angelo, spends far too much time updating his Faithbook status and now some demons have slipped in on his watch and stolen seven artifacts, and he has to go down into H377 to get them back. He's a witty little dude, and he will be matching wits with some monstrous, but not so bright creatures along the way. The puzzle he has to solve feature icons that represent the seven deadly sins, which many people are far more familiar with than the seven cardinal virtues. At the start of the game, you must chose one of these as your personal icon, from the Golden Boy with the toothy grin representing Pride, to the voluptous pink-haired lady puffing on her hook4h to represent Lu5t, you will find them all there. Your laz-about angel is pretty talented at witty jabs targeted at taunting his foes, but as to the game mechanics, sometimes the grid gets so far ahead of you when it cascades, that you can't get back in there until it stops. Like the massively addictive game, Heroes of Kalevala, certain grouping will give you tools to help you clear the grid faster, but Heaven & H377 is no HoK. If match 3 games are your kind of game, then add this to your collection, because it has a great soundtrack, and has its moments, but there are better games like this to be found, right here on this site. Total waste of time Worst game ever !! There is no skill needed. Same thing over and over. I kept thinking that there must be more to this. There wasn't. Most skill took trying how to get out of the game ! September 19, 2012
Game for children I was excited to see a new M3 game, but quickly became disappointed. I do believe this little game would be good for children, but in no way a game for adults! If you have children that like to play M3 game, then dolet them play and buy. If you don't have any, please skip this game and find something else to play. September 19, 2012
Needs some help I played this game for 1/2 hour and then called it quits... It was awful... Sad little game... September 19, 2012
This match 3 is not for me The music was down right awful, had to turn it off all together. The matches were straight forward nothing special. The two mini games were too simple. Graphics just ok. Grammer was off and spelling needed work as well. The storyline was lame. Not a buy for me. September 19, 2012
Too Busy I really wanted to like this game. I found it too easy and the tiles were graphically very busy that you couldn't easily find the tiles you were missing because they seem to blend together. It was easy to get the power ups which helped to clear the board quickly. I got bored very fast and didn't finish the trial. The mini game didn't require much thought, it was easy to solve. I kept expecting more each level, but this game did not deliver for me. September 19, 2012
Yuck!! For a match 3 game, not worth the time to play for free. I think I played 6 minutes of the game. Did not like any of it. September 19, 2012
NOT worth the trial time..... This game has no sense of accomplishment, the art stinks, no rewarding sensation and the list goes on and on! I couldn't follow the game play and couldn't tell you after 20 minutes what my goal was. I agree the story line is CORNEY! September 18, 2012
