Worth considering For once the story line takes place in the more modern 1980's than 1800's in a mansion offering a room for a more than reasonable rental rate - why? Once you begin investigating the mansion (after you sign the lease of course) you come across many not quite so copacetic offerings - like a head in a jar being kept alive that warns you to leave. I usually play the SE and CE versions of the trials to see if the game is hard enough to require a strategy guide (if one is available in the SE). I was surprised to see how far I had gotten and only used the strategy guide about 3 times and that was because I had forgotten where I had found items during the SE version of my play. I didn't find the game difficult but would advise beginners to get the CE version for the strategy guide. More experienced players, the bonus offers in the CE are a good lure. Glam-ma says this is a must buy. April 26, 2013
Interesting ... Beautiful Graphics and atmosphere but I felt the Story line was rather poor. It was interesting enough to arouse one's curiosity at first but never developed into much other than man into monkey and monkey into man. YAWN! The Cat Helper was extremely cute but other than that the Game didn't have anything new going for it. The Hint button was rather useless also ... and in future I will no longer be buying Games that don't have a fully functional Hint Button. November 23, 2012
Game finished review Very good HO game keeps you wanting to play. I like extra games from the same old ones you normally see. Sounds like there is a sequel coming so I will be sure to keep my eye open for that one. Good Luck! November 10, 2012
Wonderful so far! Just finished playing the trial, and I will definitely be purchasing this game! Different kind of story, great game play, and the time went so quickly, leaving me wanting more. October 31, 2012
Will wait for SE I agree this one is a good game but not great. IMO the puzzles were too easy. Great VOs and graphics. Not worth buying CE as there is no map and nothing to collect. I am sure a lot of fishies expect those extras from CE. Will wait for SE. If you do not like monsters and creepy scenes do not play this game. I felt a bit queasy after seeing a talking head! Will def buy SE as it seems a long game and the story gets you hooked enough you'd like to know what happens next. October 27, 2012
I'll wait.... The demo was crazy EASY. I'm on the fence about buying it and definately will not buy the CE. Would've like to have been a little more challenged especially since there is not one HOS. ('12) October 26, 2012
The Never ending story By far the best value of the bigfish games so far.. intriguing, challenging, and had to use both the hints and strategy guide to get somewhere sometimes.. maybe a bit gruesome in parts.. the talking heads with no other body parts... but that doesn't worry me... good one bigfish November 1, 2012
Good but Is a good game but I also found the hint button took way way to long to recharge. Will also wait for the SE October 25, 2012
a better than average creepy hidden object adventure game I would have give this a 4.5 if I could. A pleasantly macabre surprise from a developer that usually has cutesy graphics. This is a fun horror game, has the usual minor flaws of plot and such, but well worth the CE price. hidden object scenes are good, puzzles above average. good length. October 31, 2012
Easy and fun This was a smooth game and moved fast for me. Almost too easy. Music was okay. I had fun and would buy it on a rainy day. Older kids would like this but a tinge to gruesome for younger kids. October 25, 2012
