Hated this game Notice to HOS fans - there are none in this game. There is however, lots of running back and forth. There is a map, but it is not interactive. The hint button is not useful at all unless you are IN the room the game wants you to do something. Thank goodness for the walkthrough. I would never have finished this game without it. I have never been so disappointed in a game as this one. November 21, 2012
Don't know why this is so highly rated I thought this game was awful...the story line was good, but the execution was very lame. It was also really glitchy and kept freezing on me. The puzzles were okay but not at all challenging. The acting in the cut scenes was poorer than most games. All in all a huge disappointment, I am annoyed I wasted money on this clanger. Way Too Dark I know the title of the game says dark saga and I like a bit of mystery and supernatural, but this game storyline was waaaay too dark. Working through the game also didn't seem to make logical sense. Not my cup of tea - deleted it. December 26, 2012
Very Disappointing! I had high hopes for this game. The storyline looked good and I was eager to play. But it is BORING!!!!! If you need something, you find it immediately and use it immediately. There is no thinking involved. I do not recommend it. October 11, 2012
I was soooo bored after the demo The demo was good so I thought I'd give it a try but the game was so boring I couldn't wait to finish so I could erase it from my computer forever. The audio gets on your nerves after a short while and the story doesn't fit together very well. The whole thing felt like a waste of my time. Nothing in here to praise at all. October 7, 2012
Missing witch's book pages... NOT! As with other reviewers, I also WAS a fan of ERS but not any more. I am so tired of the infamous "nothing to do" hint although they are improving it slightly by changing the wording every so often. So unless I was in the room where something could be done, the hints were useless. The map also was sadly lacking. It didn't show all the things that could be done, scrolling the map was a pain and it is not interactive. The ghosts opening portals was different but they didn't show up nearly not often enough. I felt the graphics, special effects and live-action cut scenes are an improvement over some of their other games. I would have really liked to read the notes and witch's book. However, there were a TON of notes and always started at the last page entered so if I wanted to read from where I left off, I would have to back-page many pages to find where I stopped. Needless to say, I didn't. Too bad because the story seemed really good. I played in casual mode and found the HINT and SKIP recharge rates slow. Puzzles ran the gamut from ridiculously simple to utterly long time-wasters. Since this is supposed to be a hidden object game, I would think that the SKIP would at least be faster. I hate having to wait to skip a puzzle that I find a boring. But the straw that broke the camel's back for me was the need to find all pages of the witch's book before it could be used. I found all 24 pages but thought I hadn't because the bottle of energy has to be placed before placing the book. Then the book works automatically. I almost quit this game several times, especially after backtracking several times looking for missing witch book pages. So I'm thinking this developer is off my list unless they change some of their tactics and game mechanics. January 23, 2014
