Stunning
My advice is to play the first game in this series and then the rest of the them in sequence. I loved each of them! These games are visually beautiful, the stories draw you into their worlds and the games are just plain fun. I was able to play all 3 of these in expert mode without hints, but that's not to say the game was easy. If you like a balance of beautiful artwork, entertaining story and gamesmanship, this series is for you

Could have been better
I loved the first two in the series, and #3 was OK, but this one is just disappointing. The graphics are well done, and it's a long game, but the storyline is almost non-existant. There are lots of puzzles, and many are different, but most have vague instructions at best. In the jigsaw puzzles, if you are not spot on with your cursor (to the very pixel) you won't be able to place the pieces. There was a connect the pipes puzzle that was full of leftover pieces and many of the correctly place pipes had open ends - usually forbidden in this type of puzzle. Eventually I started just skipping puzzles which I never do usually.
I think the developers got lazy with this one. I gave it 3 stars for the quality of the graphics. Otherwise it would have gotten 2 stars.

Sophia is the champion!
The series continues and now ends (Although it didn't seem to have an ending in the regular game SE version which is what I always buy. )
Again, the game play, graphics, voice overs (Can we say, "Jack Sparrow"?) were all as delightful as in the other games in the series.
The game had a good amount of time. It took quite awhile to finish this game. It said 9 hours +, but I often forgot to pause the game when I walk away to do something.
Repetitive in several of the mini games. I did like the variety of games they put in, but some of them tend to become annoying after awhile.
There was one game I had no idea what they wanted me to do. I had to go to the walkthrough and read what it was. I solved it in like a minute once I knew what it was that they were requesting. Perhaps, looking back on it, I should have easily figured it out, but that was not the case here. I never use a "skip" on the mini games. I enjoyed the fact that the game was not "swimming" in HOG and that they were not repeated! Loved that feature!
The "bad guy" appears, but not for very long at any one time. So, the story remains light. I so love that! My daughter is able to play it and I don't have to worry about the darkness of it!
I tend to prefer these adventure games vs the HOG. There is more thinking involved.
I will be looking for more games by Boomzap. They are great adventures, lots of play time with a good variety of mini games and a little bit of thinking thrown in!

Mixed Feelings
I'm giving this beautiful game 3 stars because it is an unusual mix of absolutely gorgeous artwork and confusing game play. You get your money's worth if you like games that last a long time, but that isn't the most important thing for me. The graphics and layout of the land are wonderfully done! Combine that with the music which is equally suitable and this final chapter in the Awakening series will quickly draw you in. That may not be enough to keep you, since the mini games are often confusing and there is no direction to even begin, you just have to jump in with point and click and hope it begins to fall in place. It's good to have the wise owl always at your side, and a saving point that the mini games can be quickly skipped to continue the story. It's not the most interesting story, but if you've gone this far you won't want to leave before finishing the series! I'll play again and see if what I've learned the first time around gives it more sense. . .

Love This Series!
I have to admit this game seemed very familiar to another game, but I can't figure it out. I had so much fun with it. IO only got the regular game, not the collectors edition. I can't see spending 7 more dollars for just the bonus game play. The game was a GOOD length. Took me just under 9 hours to finish

Disappointing
Having played the previous 3 "Awakenings", this fourth was very disappointing. The story line lacked substance. I was forced to use the hint button (which was very helpful) more than I would usually because there was no logical next move.
Although I dislike too many HOS, a few more in this game would have added some enjoyment. There were far to many mini games and they were repetitive. I probably skipped half of them. I will mark this one "don't bother playing again" on my list of many HOGs.

Another Fun Awakening Game
Beautiful graphics, lovely continuation of this storyline - a bit heavy on the minigames, which greatly vary in difficulty - some present a good challenge, others are silly and time-wasting (why arrange scarves in a closet while you're trying to save you kingdom...?!) Overall, however, a solid, fun addition to the Awakening series, with a variety of puzzles that make a pleasant, relaxing and fun game.

The Best one so far!
This was superb. Tough in places. Definately challenging and a great story line. Even the ending was ok which makes a change for most games these days!
I admit to skipping a couple of mini games as the instructions were a little unclear or not explained fully but that's probably more my problem than the games.
My only critism was the map was pants! Not easy to read and no hints as to where to go. Maybe a little glowing bit where there is something to do etc?
But I do hope this isn't the end for Princess Sophia and I whole heartedly recommend this game.
