Needed a map
This was a great game which I really enjoyed. However, it would have been so much better with a map instead of trying to remember where to go so much. But I still recommend this HO game.

It's a wonderful game
So many games are rather dark and dreer, this game isn't, and the story line is excellent. There is not need for a map, it all takes place in a mansion and the gardens.
Yes it is at times hard and sometimes you might use the strategy guide, but don't feel guilty, this game is challenging and can be thought provoking.
The scenes are lovely, the HOGs are good the characters are nice except for the witch.. it is also a good length and so worth the money.
t like it

OLDER IHOS GAME
Really did enjoy this game despite the fact that two features were missing - animation and vos. Judging from the ending, a sequel may be in the works?? If it is, listen up, devs! PLEASE put in the animation and vos.
IHOS - As is common in most games, repeated scenes, variety of small to larger objects, some very well concealed.
Misclick Penalty - None
Map - None
Journal - None
Bonus Chapter - None. At least, none that I could find.
There are items to collect along the way.
More IHOS than puzzles/mini-games.
Hint - Recharges quickly and acts as a guide. Lots of back tracking.
If you're more into HOS, then this is the game for you.

A Real Beauty
I found this game to be very enjoyable; not only was the story line easy to follow, but for the most part the game seemed to be a nice balance between adventure and hidden objects. Of course there was your usual sprinkling of puzzles, but not so many that the game was one puzzle right after another.
There was one section that I did have an extremely difficult time navigating through while trying to get in the front gate.
The hints work well and for the most part don?t leave you just to wander about as some games do, but actually offer you advice in which direction you might want to travel. I did encounter a section of the game that it gave the generic phrase that we all hate to see, but then it started back making suggestions.
I did find an item or two that were clearly mislabeled and had to resort to the ?hint? button when I kept looking and looking for what it said it wanted and finally gave in and clicked on the hint button and what it circled was clearly not what it had listed that it wanted. But this is nothing new for hidden object games, it?s happens from time to time.
The music isn?t constantly droning in your ear which is a wonderful thing and the skip button charges at a very fast rate for the puzzles so if you want to hurry onto your journey and wanted to skip a puzzle you could do so without getting frustrated. I bought the collectors addition, however, I never once checked out the helpful bits. The bonus play was very enjoyable and does add a nice touch to the overall game.

Boring and tediious
..without a doubt this is the most tiresome game I have purchased ... I seldom have a bad word to say - so this is difficult for me. Our character is rambling all over the place without clues, the strategy guide ( I paid for) isn't even a helpful walk thru, the purpose for being in this place is forgotten trying to figure out what I'm doing! WAY too many to and fros, repetitiously, the magnifying glass covers too large an area, over and over, finding things you don't need .. I do not recommend this game - I'm not even finishing it and THAT is WAY not my style.

not too long
no map of any kind. hints and skip charge fast, tho'. good story. hints tell you where to go and actually point out the things in the HO scenes. i bought the CE in a deal and it didn't really help a whole lot. you could easily play the game without it so i wouldn't recommend buying it. save your money for another CE. there are plenty out there that are more fun in the CE. a lot of back and forth so an interactive map would have been nice but there wasn't a large distance to cover between scenes so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. it is a good game and graphics are very clear. a definate +!!!!!!

Excellent Hidden Object Game
Great Game. Thouroughly enjoyed it

I liked it
This game was not as satisfying for me to play as "Dark Parables: The Red Riding Hood Sisters", nevertheless I enjoyed it immensly. It was my first Hidden Object game and I was inspired to purchase it, because of the pretty and mysterious scenery. I did not regret it! The storyline is simple, but the images and tasks are interesting and also suitable for beginners. (The hint button reloads rather quickly.)

enjoyable interesting story line. tough to know where to go next.
I enjoyed the story line of this game but collectors edition was a mistake - don't know why but the walk through was not helpful. fortunately the hint button is great so don't need collectors edition. hint button directs you through the game which is essential because knowing where to go and finding places is hard. game could have used a map. forunately the hint button charges fast. I found this game over all fun and a good level of challenge for someone who plays alot. I don't use sound so can't rate that.

A lot of traveling..
It's a long game. What took the 'fun factor' away from it for me, was traveling from one part of a scene to find one measly item and then do it all over again. If you have a lot of time to spare, with nothing to hurry you, it's fine. However, it gets long and tedious after a bit.
