Unfinished Tales: Illicit Love Collector's Edition 4.4 5 98 98
Too sickly sweet I am a big fan of Elephant Games, but this one was a bit too sickly sweet for my taste. The lead character I found to be annoying, and naive (why, is beyond me), but I just couldn't get past it. Having to do silly task after silly task was frustrating, and halted the flow of the game instead of enhancing. The artwork was lovely though, as was the music, so a plus on that side. Not many HOG scenes, which was a bit of a downer for me, as I like a few more. Overall, I'll definitely pass, not even going to buy the SE, just not a game that meets with my taste. I do recommend you try before you buy, everyone is different. February 19, 2013
Boring and a disappointment Ive played many Elephant games but this one is terrible. One of those where the story is just bad. No great sub-plot just dull. Im sure others may like it but for me it was one that I played to the end to check if something would change. But no. I always enjoy Elephant Games but this is a 3 out of 10 for me. Did like the graphics, quite good. March 8, 2013
Unfinished Indeed The irony of Unfinished Tales is that it is, indeed, unfinished. I couldn't get past the first puzzle because the instructions, as well as the item labels, didn't show up. If there was an introduction cutscene I would have no idea. If you're going to release a game for the Mac, it's a good idea to make sure it works first (and yes, mine is new and completely updated). Not exceptional Well, the graphics are really stunning and the HOS are well done but the storyline is quite fragmented and this brings disruption to the plot. And in a game I'd like to know how many collectibles all in are meant to be found. February 15, 2014
Back and forth with hints... I'm sorry to say I really did not enjoy this game. While the artwork and all was done quite well, the game play itself was tedious and awful. The game started off O.K. but after a while I just clicked on the hint button to move me to the next spot so I could just get the dreaded thing over with. Back here for one thing, over there for one thing....back and forth and back and forth. Gaack. I finished playing only because I had paid good money for it. Can't recommend this one. January 25, 2014
The game just ends The game is one that ends for me as there is nothing left to do. The hint tells me to go to the grotto and find an object but all of those objects are locked. This whole game was frustrating for me to try and accomplish something. Never have I needed to use the hint button and even was given the dubious achievement for getting the wrong thing fifty times in a row. This game has great ratings by everyone else here. I guess they found the objects and were able to finish this game. July 26, 2013
Don't bother.. Terrible game from Elephant. I could not understand the high ratings it received. I've purchased/played all their previous games and was looking forward to playing another. What a disappointment. The voice over was whiney and childish; the graphics were nothing to write home about- certainly not up to the artwork in previous games. The game play was boring and very childish. I played the trial version for about a half hour and gave up. I was not about to purchase this game even though it was half price. I'll pass on this one and would not recommend it. Not worth the money in my opinion. October 29, 2012
Rubbish! Lasted about 10 minutes before I gave up! Boring and dated. October 27, 2012
