AMAZING GAME - NOT YOUR USUAL HOG!
Beautiful graphics and great music. The voice overs are well done although not in sync. One of the first scenes in the demo was that of the snow-covered mansion. There is something cozy and inviting with scenes like these. There is no map, but it has a very helpful hint system. The HOG's are integrated and are very well done. There seems to be more sophisticated IHOG and FROG being developed and that's a very good thing. They make you think just a little bit harder and that's always a good thing. No chance of getting bored with this game. I'm glad the developers are listening and are bringing us these awesome games. After the demo was over I went to YouTube and watched several videos on the game. Very helpful as the 1 hr. demo flies by pretty fast and it's nice to look it over again. Keep up the good work developers, you're on the right track.

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
Very disappointed. The graphics are good, even excellent in some scenes. Technically flawless. Good voice overs. Helpful hint button and fast skip button. There are achievements but they are weird. They seem to want the player to do the wrong things x number of times to get them.
The story is weak and not cohesive. I found myself wondering what it was all about, even at the end.
The mini games are bland and the game play is uninteresting, with no surprises or twists or anything at all to distinguish the game from hundreds of others. I did not find it sedate and understated, just mundane. Very meat and potatoes with no trimmings.
The SG is not in the game, you have to exit to the Menu. Some so called solutions to the puzzles are either inadequate or unclear.
The iHOS are mostly fine, except those (quite a lot) that have little lists of the same objects to find. E.g. "find 4 sticky things" and then "find 4 round things" etc., all in the same iHOS. This is childish and dull. Some are not iHOS but have little circles in the list section which are you have to find in the main picture above. Also not fun. There was one where I was given a set of tools and had to place them in the box, each slot clearly identifiable. That was beyond basic and just irritating.
The music is chamber music, which is uninspiring and boring.
The main game took me 3.45 hrs, which is poor. The BC I could not see had any bearing on the story. It was 1.15 hrs, making a total of 5 hrs, so I suppose one could say it was ok length-wise, but not for SE players.
BZ can do better than this. I know, I have their other games and I like them, but this one, as far as I am concerned, is a flop.
I think this series has run it's course and should be laid to rest. Dana Knightstone is just not the sort of character that lends herself to anything but the most basic stories, so the devs are limited as to what they can include as far as anything new and innovative goes.
Sorry BZ. I still like you but this was not up to par.

To make a long story short ...
Lovely game but too short - even with the epilogue. Mini games are either easy or bizarre but the music is so relaxing. And this game brings back some SUNSHINE! Aren't we all just a little bit tired of the dark and gloomy side of HOGs? In short, I enjoyed this game.

Time just flew by!
This is a lovely game. It is very easy to get around. No map required. The music is very relaxing. The puzzles are fun and not too difficult. The Hidden Object scenes are beautiful, not cluttered and interactive. I own the 2 previous games. I would recommend the Bundle sale for sure.
At least try the demo. I just had to buy the CE.

quite disapointed!
I have played the other knightstone novels before and was very excited as the previous editions were very captivating. I have bought and played many CE games before, but this time I felt quite 'short changed'. Nothing new in graphics and mini games, the story line was disappointing and the puzzles and mini games just too easy, in fact I kept waiting for some surprise to warrant this game as a CE. I just felt, getting to the end was a relief and if there are any sequels, I certainly would not buy the CE edition, maybe not even the standard game. I know lots of reviews seemed to praise this game, sorry, it certainly was not for me.

Do not buy the SE!
This is one of my favourite series and the 3rd is no disappointment. The bonus chapter in the collector's edition is a must so do not go for any bargain on SE versions! The bonus is always adding to the story which is why you buy these adventures in the first place really! Lots of love, excitement and pleasure coming your way if you play this! Great story, graphic, sound HOS and well everything is just great!

Absolutely addictive
I bought this game after my hour was up. I think I'm toward the end. I've been playing it off and on most of the day. I hate when life gets in the way of my gaming. Just kidding, well mostly kidding.
The game ramains just as good as the demo. The visuals are excellent and the music is good. The leads voiceover can be a bit jarring, but not bad enough to put me off.
The level of challenge is more to 3 3/4 stars.
There might be a glich in it, but it could be my computer. The hint keeps telling me that I need to look at the piano, but I'm unable to click on it. Have to keep looking at the forums to see if anyone else has the same problem. There isn't a walk through for it yet.
The story line is very good too. I'm going to take a look at the other games too.

Don't waste your money...
Some good play but overall not very challenging and over too quickly, just 5 hours!

Didn't Make it Far in this Poor game
The reviews on this varied....so I tried the trial....I didn't make it through even the 60 minutes....I wasn't impressed with the graphics and I thought the story was insipid.....Sorry folks....but it was definitely not worth Collector's price and wouldn't even buy the standard version......Yes, the hidden objects were ok, but pretty simplistic....
I would think a very younger female "might" like the game.

Best Of The Series!
(full rating 3 1/2)
I must admit, I didn't really see myself playing out the demo of this game, but I did! It's definitely the best of the series!
(based on demo)
Good Parts:
Storyline kept getting better and better as the game went on. By the end of the demo I wanted more!
HOS I loved. They were awesome, and a great challenge.
Great graphics,
Excellent voice-overs.
Strategy guide included, but had to go to menu to access it.
Long time gameplay guarenteed. By the end of the first hour I hadn't even finished chapter 1.
OK Parts:
Ouzzles. I had to skip most of them, but there were a few I enjoyed.
Game started off a little boring.
Bad Parts:
Hint and skip take too long to recharge.
At times in the game I found it hard to figure out what to do next.
A lot of going back and forth.
I nearly wanted to buy this game, but there were some things holding me back. Overall a really good game, though.
