Down the wormhole Bejeweled has certainly lived up to its cult/hit status but this current version hurt my eyes with those tunnelling effects from level to level. I had to look away after the first one and the second gave me a headache. This was a waste of a precious game credit. December 18, 2012
I have been sucked into the vortex For years I have stayed away from these games as in essecence they were to me just '5 minute fillers' which is fine if that is your bag but I kinda always wanted something a tad more satisfying. The only one of this type I kind of enjoyed was Zookeeper on my DS as it had different challenge modes, I know the first two of this series did, and I did get the delux bejewled 2 which took it a tad further but then this version has taken it further still. You can play the normal and Zen versions (though I am struggling to see the difference between those two versions), then you have the quest and lightening versions. The quest is what I played most, though be warned it is short, I completed this (albeit have been playing for quite a few hours), but have now nearly finished this mode and nearly got 100%. This to me is a shame as I liked the different modes in the quest (such as balance of gems, wall-blast etc), as to me there was a lot more strategy involved. Certain games are 'unlocked' after you reach a certain level on the main game (for example if you reach level 5 on the main game you 'unlock' poker. This is good as this version is slightly different to the 'quest' version in that there is skulls to avoid by having to make better poker hands. So again more strategy involved. I have purchased the game (got it on a special deal), but whilst I don't think I will play the normal or zen game a lot value for money for the other variants are more than met. This version has therefore sucked me into the vortex, but I don't think others in this genre can match to this series (IMHO) November 20, 2012
Best match 3 yet hard to stop . Lots of fun well worth the money November 7, 2012
Not Much to Say ... Basic M3 ... Little Challenge If you love challenging M3 games, you might want to pass this one up. However, if you are new to M3 this is a good game to start with. There are 4 game options, basic (not timed), lightening (one minute play time to get the highest score compared to others), Zen (not really sure of the point to this option), and mini-games (a different goal for each game). Of all the options, I liked the lightening the most. You have only one minute to play. During that minute, based upon your matches, you can extended the game. This option can be addicting. I found myself going back to this option after playing the other three. The point of all the options seems to be to get high scores. That's the game -- match 3 or more things and score. Not much of a challenge and certainly no story. I recommend this game for beginners, maybe. Others will be quite bored with the game. November 6, 2012
I LIKE its fast and i think fun,and makes the time just fly by February 13, 2013
Entertaining and Challenging Bejeweled is a game that I don't get tired of playing. There are multiple levels and there are 8 different games within one game. Awesome! Having experienced the downside of a stroke in 2003 this game has helped me re-establish connections that the stroke had disconnected. The quick thinking required has helped me to exercise those attributes and I am improving all the time. Thank you to the creators of this game. =) May 12, 2013
This Game Rocks This game blow my mind. First word out my mouth was WOW! It's awesome! I Highly Reccommend. I never get frustrated with this game. Have enjoyed playing it online ver the years when it first game out. Decided to purchase this one for Mac and PC. You will not be disappointed. February 5, 2013
Excellent Puzzle/Match Game!!! This game is totally addicting!!!! You "unlock" different difficulty levels when you play the minigames. This games offers alot, Nice music, pretty graphics/sound, lots of action! I love it!!!!!! January 12, 2013
Best Match 3 ever As a long time customer and fan of match 3 games I have to say that this game is one of the best ever. The variety of game play is fantastic and keep one playing. The only critizism I have is the Lightening mode is too challenging with time bonuses to small and infrequent. Other than that it is a great match 3 game, well thought out, engaging and fun. Beautifully Brilliant, Lots of New Stuff! I am a big fan of PopCap and all the versions of Bewejeled, and so of course, I had to try this one, too. I was not disappointed at all. The things I loved: 1) Beautiful graphics. 2) Fun sounds. 3) Great effects for big matches and big cascades. 4) Continuation of a wonderful badge system. 5) TONS of Match 3 variations, including a very, very fun Poker game involving Match 3. (Ice Mode, Quest Mode, etc.) 6) Relaxed mode is available, but there are also many, many timed modes for additional challenge. 7) Match 3 mechanics are absolutely perfect. 8) Can match flawlessly during cascades. Things I didn't like: 1) Pretty much the only thing I didn't like was that I got interrupted by the end of my 1 hour demo. I'm definitely off to buy this one. November 17, 2012
