I was suprised!
I overlooked this game when it first came out, and I shouldn't have, it was a fun and relaxing game. Little Timmy starts to vanish (literally dissapating) right in front of his mother as he's telling her that a scientist is kidnapping him and pleads for her to find the crystals. So Mrs. Barton goes on a quest throughout the town to find these crystals and also the items that the townsfolk are missing. The hint system recharges quickly and will point to the direction and also the item that may be needed in that area. The HO's weren't too hard but in my opinion there could be more. The puzzles were easy to resolve and most of the puzzles solutions are kept in your journal. This game is worth buying.

great game
you are looking for your son that has been taken by a mad scientist. many HO scenes and the hints tell you where to go in the easiest mode. hint and skip charge pretty fast. no map but there is a journal/diary. not a big area to cover, but there is back and forth a good bit, but i have played much worse.

Good-looking Game.
Really nice graphics, inspired mechanical animals, fun puzzles, lots of interesting HOs and a solid story made this game worth my time and money.

Worst Voice Actress Award
The graphics are beautifully drawn. The story is fairly average. I found the mini-games sufficiently challenging. My biggest complaint is the voice acting - especially the main character. I mean she saw her only child vanish before her eyes to God knows where, and she's all "Oh well, let's go find little Timmy." It's like she has to go pick up milk from the store. If you put it on mute, it's good game play for an SE.

Bummer
At first I was going to buy this game but way too many HO scenes. I'm talking in almost every room! It got old real fast! I did like the fact that the hint button showed you where to go next. It is also helpful in HO scenes with fast recharge. Oh well...pity. If you are a HO (hidden object) fanatic than you will LOVE this game. If not, you will just find yourself annoyed! I'm giving it three stars for that reason alone.

Great game with beautiful graphics!
Ok, the storyline is not original but I like it! There are 2 game modes. I played in Expert mode: no sparkles.
- The sound is good, not boring.
- The graphics are crisp. The objects in the HOS are easy to find.
- In the HOS, you can switch to Match-3 mode.
- The puzzles are mostly easy, some more challenging.
- You have a journal, containing the clues you found, and a task list.
- The hint system works only for the HOS.
- There is no map, but there are not that many locations, so you won't get lost even if there is a lot of walking.
The length is also good. It took me about 4 hours to finish, not skipping anything.

Keys,Keys,Keys
First let me say here is a woman in a hat and long dress climbing ladders, stairs, etc, walking into homes and "snooping" into cabinets, and EVERYTHING has to have a key. You need a key for the key. You must find a key to unlock a box to find another key inside to unlock another box, etc. Lots of running back and forth. Have to write things down in order to keep track of what you need and where you have to go back to in order to use it.

Started out slowly but hooked me
I thoroughly enjoyed this short game. 5-star graphics. Of particular note: When you return to a HOS, everything that was picked up the previous time is no longer there. I've never played a HOG that's done that. Kudos to the developers for that. Excellent hint system. I'm torn about the voice acting ... some cheesy, some pretty good.

Worth the price of admission
I didn't see Whispered Secrets: The Story of Tideville until it came out as a SE. I was pleasantly surprised, it took me several days to complete, a bit longer than normal, but I don't always get to sit and play for long.
What did I like? I enjoyed playing in expert mode and having to puzzle things out for myself. There's no map or hint for what action to take next, so a lot of back-and-forthing goes on, but considering all of the other games with a lot of hand holding, this was refreshing. Yes there are a lot of HOS, but plenty of objects to collect and puzzles to solve. I loved the mechanical animals laying gems :) :) :)
I didn't find the menaces of the mad scientist all that realistic, he was a lot of bark and no bite, but all in all I greatly enjoyed this game and might even play it again!
