Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk!
I actually turned off the sound after a while because I couldn't bear to listen to these characters anymore. The game was ok but the characters did nothing but talk. The dialog went on for hours, no sorry, many minutes at a time. If you wanted to watch a Masterpiece Theater type of who-dunnit with a little bit of game thrown in, this is your buy. Some of the puzzles were interesting and eventually we get to the point. But this game could have benefited from a map and a good editor.

Blah, blah, blah!
You spend so much time listening to the characters babble on, that it takes all the fun out of the game. You can't click to continue, just skip. I've never played a game with so much talking and so little action! The mini-games are so simplistic a two-year old could do them and the HOS aren't interactive in the least. Top it off with no achievements or collectables... this is the worst game I've played in ages.

Reading a long-winded detective fiction
It's interesting at the very beginning. But I found there's too much words and dialogue. I feel like I was reading a detective fiction more than playing a game.
Too much information from characters. Once I skipped few of their dialogue, I feel I am no longer with the story immediately and lost my objective. When I have played through Chapter 1, that's already very tired for me on people's talking.
I want a game can be played smoothly but the long dialogue paused the gameplay.
The story might be not bad. But I just reached the limit of my patience to complete the game. Perhaps I will pick it up again someday.

Amazing
I am pretty much hard to please with Hidden objects games but this one is just incredible. The storyline is great and you feel as you were really with them, trying to solve the mystery.
I recommend it and if you don't like dark stories, this one is perfect too because it is not too soft and not too dark.
And a special bravo for the artists, it is beautiful.

Love This Game!
I'm surprised to see this has an overall 4 star rating from members. I've bought more games than I care to admit over the years, and when I find one I truly love, I look for more like it. I wish there were many games like this one. The dark mystery theme is appealing to me, and the characters were interesting. Some scenes weren't appropriate for young persons, and that is the only caution I would give. The scenery is beautiful, with Victorian era buildings, furnishings, clothing. There's fog and rain in some scenes, and intriguing HO sites and graphics. The rain actually sounded like it was really raining outside, whereas some games have rain that sounds so fake. The game playing was smooth in transition from scene to scene. The dialogue between the characters was well done, with some tongue-in-cheek humor people might miss if not paying close attention. I logged in to search for more games like this one. Here's hoping...

Not Up to the Standards set by the 1st Brink of Consciousness
I loved the 1st Brink of Consciousness: Dorian Grey Syndrome. I had high hopes for this one. Was sadly disappointed! The dialog alone is enough to suffocate all the fun out of the game. You can skip it, true, but it does go along with the game. Without it, the game would be confusing.. and would probably be at least 1/3 as long. Too much for me!! Struggled thru it but only because I'm stubborn! The mini games are quite easy. The CE version has no morphing objects, no trophies, no added goodies except a bonus chapter and another 45min worth of dialog to dig thru!

A detective story that you shouldn't miss
Tell the truth, I still prefer the first Brink of Consciousness than this one. However, you should not miss to try this game.
Lonely Heart Killer is indeed a great story about detective fighting against a mysterious killer, racing against time. The story would be more interesting if it was a bit longer. For me, the Collector Edition is still too short, and I couldn't enjou much. Because of this, I feel like the story was... shorten for some parts.
The graphic of the Lonely Hear Killer is indeed beautiful, and brings out the atmosphere of the story: semi- dark, mystery and peaceful (Compare to the first series, this one is not scary much). The voice actors are doing their job well, not excellent, but we can skip this part. And of course, the music is good as well.
Puzzles, for me, only few of them are challenge (may be because I've played too much puzzle games). However, other puzzles are good enough for everyone (even children) to solve.
Overall, if you like detective story, you should give this a try. It's worth with money.

Shades of Titanic
The game was fun, if one has patience....Loads of dialogue and if you skip any of it you are missing some of the gist of the game. Not since my early gaming days of playing Titanic have I seen a game quite like this. Yea!!! The way the characters moved was realistic and except for the scenes of the interrogations it moved right along. Good playing time, I enjoyed it.

GREAT...WONDERFUL...TERRIFIC
This game is awesome in every way. The music is back in the day Private Eye music. The VO'S very realistic. Characters move around the scenes. This is a well thought out and well put together mystery that is adventure all the way. I would give this more than 5 stars for how clever it is done.
There are many cut scenes and these advance the storyline. You can skip if you want to. The map is not interactive.
The only negative may be the bonus game. It's not as engrossing as the main story.
I tip my hat to the developers on this one. It's a winner all the way !!!!

Fantastic and Fun Game
Loved the graphics. I liked how each area completed so you were not wondering all over to try and find objects. Interesting story. Like others said it was like watching a movie. I really enjoyed this game. Highly recommend.
