Good Story Line This review is only based on the trial hour. The first thing I noticed is that the characters mouth/lips didn't move with the diologue. It loses something for me when that happens because I have played other games that were more realistic in terms of facial expressions and lips moving in a realistic fashion. I thought the storyline seemed quite interesting, but the game seems tedious. I don't want to work that hard to play, as it needs to be somewhat relaxing for me to enjoy it. The hint system holds 1 or two hints at a time, and will eventually empty itself completely after you have used so many hints. inotherwords, even though it says one hint, i was able to hit that several times before it emptied completely. There are two modes of play, casual and difficult. I thought the graphics/visuals were just ok and nothing more. I doubt that I will be purchasing this game based on my observations. So Very Average I bought the 1st one...this one is not better is just average no improvements...one thing that really disappointed me on both installments is they did not even come close on the voice of the main character "Jessica Fletcher" which anyone that has ever watched "Murder She, Wrote" show was Angela Lansbury! for me that would have made the game... if they had gotten someone to come even close to her voice...so i play with the sound off! this is a no buy for me...may get it when it goes to daily special. I Won't Be Returning Any Time Soon! I wasn't a fan of the original MSW, and this is no different. (based on 30 mins free trial) Good Parts: Great graphics. Good voice-overs. Able to walk around a little this time. HOS were good, great challenge, but I didn't get the typewriter keys. OK Parts: Case storylines are worse than last time, a little boring. Some puzzles were good, but others were bad Hint takes a little too long to recharge, Bad Parts: Only 3 cases, compared to 5 last time. Skip takes WAY too long to recharge Have to find typewriter keys to fill in the missing letters of objects you need to find. Hard to figure out what to do next. Well, MSW 2: Return to Cabot Cove cerainly has me wanting to leave. I don't recommend, November 23, 2012
Not Bad It was fun enough. I liked the story lines, as cheesy as they may be. May 5, 2013
Pretty good I played the one hour demo. The graphics are good, not the dark gothic and graphic I usually go for. However, this game is not that genre, I would put it more towards the graphics in the Dream Day and Love Story series. Some of the clues are a bit abstract, but use your head and think a bit out of the box, and you'll catch on quickly. Just make sure you move your mouse over all areas of a scene, sometimes it is important that you do. Overall, from the one hour demo, I'd give it a seven and a half out of ten. Towards the end of the hour, I was beginning to wonder when the demo time was up, but I did enjoy the scenery and game overall. April 6, 2013
I'm sorry for Jessica... I don't think this is a "4 star" or more game; it's boring and all visuals are the same. I'm sorry for myself too because i love "Murder She Wrote"! I'm waiting a new and wonderful version! March 25, 2013
Fun yet not too challenging As someone who has seen a lot of HOGs, it's refreshing to see one that is at it's core, a murder mystery. Watching the show growing up, the game does it justice and gives you engaging storylines that aren't predicable. I really enjoyed that in the sequel we're able to move around, as opposed to going from one hidden object scene to another. The puzzles were fun and a little challenging, but overall able to complete without using hints or skip too many times. My own complaint is that there were only 3 stories, while in the last there were 5. I'm really looking forward to another installment! March 25, 2013
Not worth buying This game was "OK" but that is it. Not very challenging and way too short. The graphics were very mundane. Just wasted my money. March 24, 2013
Great weekend game The only thing is, it didn't last long enough. March 12, 2013
Tedium I am not a fan. I did not enjoy the gameplay and thought it all a bit tedious. I purchased it with a BF coupon which I always have in abundance. March 5, 2013
