Why? I cannot understand why the comments are so negative.... I enjoed this game very much. Clear graphic, good storyline and a lot of fresh ideas. Very good game! January 16, 2013
WHAT ...NOBODY LIKED IT? Just finished the game. I thought it was amazing..I loved the story and the creepy people in the games. I even watched the movie segments. I liked the creepiness of the game. Please, please make more creepy videos like this one. February 9, 2013
Patience is a virtue I am not really understanding the poor reviews of this game. It is different, thank God, because I was really getting bored with the same old stuff. This game is a rare gem of thinking outside the box. True, it does not hold your hand, but even my hubby, who always plays on casual mode and basicly wants a game to be laid out for him, (not that he is stupid by any means, he uses games for his brain to go into casual mode) finally got the hang of what the designers wanted and enjoyed the game. I say play the free trial, give it a chance, and dont give up just because the game doesn't tell you where every little item is. Oh yeah, warning, it is creepy. Mostly when you least expect it. WHAT?!?!?! How did this game get chosen for Game of the Year when it only has 2 stars and 80% of players DON'T recommend it? December 29, 2012
A BIG DUD MCF must be high....this game was very disappointing and I am appalled. January 5, 2013
Bring back the "Madame Fate" spirit I didn't get the full version and playing the demo and reading the over reviews, I'm glad I didn't. I used to love MCF games, but for the 2 - 3 last games I was disappointed and this one was the worse. I didn't see any real challenge in the game, also I don't really like the facts that real actors are in... My favorite MCF was Madame Fate and I wish the game series would go back that way and not continue in this annoying game with real actor path, even more because I don't think the actors bring anything good to the game and the difficulty has dropped... Unique interesting game! What could anyone possibly find wrong with this game? It's great! Ok so Martys Moms acting was way over the top. But ITS A GAME not a movie. Plus she's playing the part of one of those hokey psychics and if anyone has ever seen them, that's pretty much how they act. So she was actually pretty dead on with her portrayal. lol Anyway the game itself is awesome! Just because you have to use the map to get to some locations is no reason to dislike it. Its a different game, I don't want all my games the same. They probably made it that way in response to all the complaints about backtracking. I loved the puzzles in the visions. And matching the drawings was fun. I especially love that it takes up the whole screen, the graphics are perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about this game. I wish everyone would vote some of the good reviews to the front page because all those bad reviews on the front page are keeping people from a great game. Thats why I didn't even TRY this game for so long. Now I regret it. I'm never going to judge a game based on the reviews again if this is the kind of game they say is bad. This is now my 3rd fav game. My 1st fav is Nightmare Adventures: The Turning Thorn & my 2nd fav is MCF: Escape From Ravenhurst, if that tells you anything. I really hope people give this game a chance, It truly is an amazingly good game. February 5, 2013
What a let down I always love the mystery case file games so I bought this one without trying first. I'll never make that mistake again. Wasn't challenging at all. I finished it in 4 hours. It actually got less chalenging as the game progressed. Don't waste your time. January 3, 2013
Very disappointing MCF game Like most fans of HO games, I feel MCF set the standard. I have enjoyed playing every MCF game since the original for years now until this one. The story line is ridiculous. The HO games are practically non-existent. The puzzle challenges are weak at best. And what makes all of this worse, is the wait time for this release. This game reeks of hastily composed cheap gimmickry as if the developers woke up last month and said, "Oh we have a release date coming up better slap something together". Next time, use the development dollars on substance, graphics, and HO games which the MCF series is known for and not on the TV actress fee. January 3, 2013
What Happened to MCF? Boring. Tedious. I use to love MCF, but will not buy another one. MCF:RTR was so bad I didn't finish it, but this game is just pathetic. Hardly any puzzles, the same plodding routine for "finding" clues, Lea Thompson is a sad psychic and the storyline is truly awful. What a waste of money. Bring back MCF: Madame Fate, where the storyline was fun, the puzzles challenging and the game actually fun to play. January 2, 2013
