Nice Light Game Play!
Based on demo: this is a good game. Played on casual so it wasn't very hard but it was enjoyable to play. Might try it on a harder level but I like a fun not to hard game once in awhile. Like the story line and the graphics and music are good. Might wait for SE but worth a buy.

Not as challenging as I hoped
I just didnt think the challenge was there. I rather like the harder challenges, with maps, and other special features.

well done HO game
i usually find hidden object games to be boring, but this one offered enough variety to hold my interest. i didn't have the music enabled so won't give feedback about that, but the graphics and sound effects are high quality. finding the correct items to use took adequate time and patience (i played the demo in the easiest mode#. it was neither too challenging, nor frustrating. i won't be buying this game as i don't buy HO games in general #no replay value), but give it high marks for graphics, and for including a variety of mini games.

Buggy bug bug
It's funny that the name of the game is "...the gold BUG."
-My download was full of bugs.
My profile got deleted and sometimes the screen had black squares. The screen also turned black and froze all the time!
It ruined the whole experience of the game for me.

I'm a fan of Dark Tales
It got even better with this one. I got stumped on one part but with the help of the walkthrough I made it just fine. I cannot wait till the next sequel.

Disappointed
I love the Edgar Allan Poe games, but this one was just a bit boring and short. With limited places to go and few things to do, it left me wanting more. I was really disappointed in this particular game.

Oh so BORING!
Very nice Graphics but where is the Fun in this Game? The Storyline was unbelievably BORING and I just couldn't get into it. I was hoping it would get better but after 2 hours I couldn't take the boredom anymore! Not going to even bother finishing this Game, just going to uninstall it.
This is the WORST game in the Edgar Allen Poe Collection ever! I'm sorry I bought it. What a waste of money!

would not recommend
Weakest entry in the EAP series. Puzzles are very easy to figure out and hidden objects are few and not very challenging. Storyline not very interesting. The play was very linear with a lot of back and forth to finish ho hum puzzles. I finished it in an hour and a half and my daughter in an hour. Very disappointing as we enjoyed the other entries in the series and found them very entertaining.

Fantabulous!!!
Totally loved this HOG ! Graphics are wonderful and meshes with the story line, which is a great plot. I have a crush on the dog, he is so big and fluffy. Plenty of HOS and plenty of puzzles. None of the puzzles were mind bending but they weren't all that easy either. The extra game play was worth buying the CE, and you can go back and just play the puzzles over again or play the HOS over again, too. I live for puzzles and when games give you the chance to play the puzzles all by themselves, then I will always buy that CE. This HOG is lots of fun!

WELL WORTH THE CE PRICE
Exciting, fast-paced adventure ? easy to follow and skillful plot. Outstanding graphics, inspiring music, beautifully conceived details. Good voice overs. At the beginning, I thought play was rather simplistic and easy (no question of where to go or what to do), but it became tougher to figure out the puzzles and HOS as the game continued. Just my type of game. You can play casual, advanced or real detective (no help at all) modes. You can unlock and play hidden objects and puzzles to your heart?s content in the SE and CE editions, as well as a movie, music, bonus chapter, concept art and a screen saver in the CE edition as you complete the game. A well designed game. You find the cutest little Newfoundland puppy, complete with bow, to help in your quest
