But LeGrand isn’t the only one with designs on the pirate booty… A masked villain tries to make off with the code, and a mysterious woman in a veil seems to be connected. Superb Characters Absolutely great characters, and voice over. Although i found that Dupin's voice was a little to fast at times which made it hard to understand him. An easy going game with great mini games. By easy going, i mean that there is not to much runnning around which is fine by me. The hos were easy enough. The story was very good and the bonus game play added unto it. January 12, 2013
Good Game Length of game was ok, it was not as lengthly as I like. Spending that much $$ for a CE I want a long fun game with lots of puzzles and the extras like the dog was cute but I've played better with more creative extras. The puzzles were too easy but were interesting and fun. The bonus game was good but also seemed short. Overall I recommend the game. January 11, 2013
Rollicking Fun! Detective Dupin returns again! This is a fun hidden object game with lush locales, an intriguing story, and an adorable Newfoundland named Arthur to help you out. You are on a hunt for Captain Kidd's ill-gotten pirate treasure. There is a sinister villian out there who wants to stop you though. The puzzles are fairly simple, the hidden object scenes are interesting (once you find an object, it stays gone, even when you return to the same site). One thing I enjoy in the hidden object games is you actually use the objects you find to discover other objects. Very good strategy guide, no map. Although there are some pirate skeletons, and one poisoning, there isn't the gross violence so many games exhibit. I wouldn't object to letting a child old enough to enjoy Poe's mysteries play this game. This is a fun game. January 11, 2013
Good game I just finished the entire game and my only complaint is that C.E. seem to be getting shorter and shorter. I feel that if you invest this amount of money to buy a game it should last longer than a couple of hours. January 11, 2013
Too Short I enjoyed playing this game, however, it was too short. For the money payed for it, it should have been longer. It kept getting stuck and forcing me to reboot the game. January 13, 2013
Dark Tales: Edgar Allen Poe's The Gold Bug I only played the demo,so debating whether its worth the 14$ to play the collectors addition. Had a few glitches, when I first played the demo. The art in the hidden objects part is ok nothing to fabulous. Love the new foundland. I like that you can use him to track things down. Would recommend this game just wish I knew the regular 7 dollar version or the collectors addition? January 11, 2013
Nice Light Game Play! Based on demo: this is a good game. Played on casual so it wasn't very hard but it was enjoyable to play. Might try it on a harder level but I like a fun not to hard game once in awhile. Like the story line and the graphics and music are good. Might wait for SE but worth a buy. January 12, 2013
Fun but not overly challenging I liked the different games, and the ease of getting around. The challenge is fairly low, most of the clues and items are pretty straight forward, but the variety keeps it interesting. February 8, 2013
Love Edgar Allan Poe I am a fan of Edgar Allan Poe so I was pleasantly surprised to find this game. It is a faithful game version inspired by Poe's brilliant works. I really enjoyed this. January 24, 2013
