Edgar Allan Poe’s classic tale gets a reboot in this fourth game in the well-loved Dark Tales series. You and your detective companion Dupin have been summoned to the seashore to help William LeGrand discover the exact location of a treasure lost hundreds of years ago. But LeGrand isn’t the only one with designs on the pirate booty… A masked villain tries to make off with the code, and a mysterious woman in a veil seems to be connected. Follow the clues – with the help of the superior sniffing abilities of your Newfoundland sidekick – to track down the treasure and foil the criminal’s plans.

Fantastic Gold Bug!! I was waiting for this game to come out for a while. I played the beta game a few months ago and absolutely enjoyed it. The length of the game was appropriately long. The hidden object games were fun and puzzles of various types was a welcome. The artistry is absolutely beautiful and creative. Thank you ERS folks for another great game. January 13, 2013
AWESOME HO GAME This game had everything! Great storyline, good characters, great graphics and it was just pure fun. I tried the DEMO and now I have to buy it. The hour they give you for the DEMO flys by. This is definitely a keeper. Thanks Big Fish! January 11, 2013

Dark Tales: Edgar Allen Poe's The Gold Bug I only played the demo,so debating whether its worth the 14$ to play the collectors addition. Had a few glitches, when I first played the demo. The art in the hidden objects part is ok nothing to fabulous. Love the new foundland. I like that you can use him to track things down. Would recommend this game just wish I knew the regular 7 dollar version or the collectors addition? January 11, 2013
Hard to tell What I have been able to play so far is pretty good. Nice graphics, nice sound. Characters are a little hokey, but ok. The problem is that since I have PURCHASED the game it has frozen twice in a matter of minutes. Next to impossible to get it shut down. If it doesn't work after a complete computer shut down I will request my money back. January 10, 2013
PEEUUUU! Sorry, this one was just baaaaad. Played about 15 minutes of the Demo and was stuck in the town square--the hint button just kept taking me the building where I needed a key. DUH, yeah, well! Music was monotonous. The tasks were just silly. Could not have cared less about the "storyline". January 26, 2013
Big fan of previous Dark Tales I don't fault ERS for trying something new, but I would have enjoyed the story more if the game were a traditional HOG. January 21, 2013
