An Actual Adventure Game I thoroughly enjoyed this game. For me, it is quite refreshing to have an actual adventure game. In this game you use your intuition to click on various parts of a scene to discover areas that have puzzles within them. Pure hidden object enthusiasts may be disappointed, but for those of us who love adventure games, this one is delightful. I do wish the graphics were brighter and more deeply saturated, but having said that, they are still fine. The game-play is enjoyable and I found it straightforward. Thanks developers for an entertaining game that isn?t redundant to the vast majority of recently released games! November 26, 2012
It's an OK game. I played 20 minutes of the demo and think I'll be buying it. However, for being in expert level, there's a little too much hand-holding. Items glow in the inventory when you can use them. Voice overs are good. Scenes, so far, are dark and hard to see details. Graphics are well done and movement around is smooth. Strangely, the cursor is not custom. It's a generic system cursor which detracts from the spookiness of the game. I would like to have seen a wolf's paw/claw or something of that nature. It seems fairly simple and not too hard to figure things out. In the 20 minutes I played, I had not run into any HO scenes of the typical sort and only one mini-game that was very easy. This will be a buy for me as it seems like it will be an easy game to relax with. November 25, 2012
Empress of the Deep meets the Werewolf! I really enjoyed the gameplay on this. The story line really kept me interested in the game. The visuals were other-wordly like Empress of the Deep series which this game manufacturer also produced. The music was not overpowering and the voice overs were not overly annoying which they sometimes can be. I played in the expert mode which made for a very challenging adventure game. There were no junk piles for HO scenes, but finding items to complete a component to be used elsewhere. I don't time games, but I played this game for two afternoons which probably was upwards of six hours. The bonus game was very involved, and takes you back in time to show how the story transpired. Very enjoyable game without a lot of gore or satanic references. I think this game is underappreciated and would love to see the devs come out with a series of games of this type. November 27, 2012
Lots of Running Around I liked this game as it gives you lots of help, be it by the hint button (which is very good, as it tells you where to go) or by the voice comments (which was different but fun). I am rather tired of all these werewolf stories, but this game is fun for the beginner or intermediate player. There is a lot of backtracking, and without the map , it is easy to get lost. I think I will buy this game. No HOS, which is refreshing. November 25, 2012
Mesmerizing Usually I don;t care too much for slow moving, disjointed games but for some reason I find the one to be rather charming and somewhat addictive. Not a lot of hos but there are somethings more important than rummaging through someones trash. November 25, 2012
Dark and a little different The Owl lady has me guessing. She is a neat character in this game. I like it enough to buy it. Fairly easy game to play. Nice change of pace even though a dark game. November 25, 2012
GLAD I TRIED THIS GAME! I am so glad I decided to try this game out. Honestly one of the better games I have played recently. I played on Expert Mode and found it was challenging but NOT over the top. Sometimes you just want a game that is fun to play and is relaxing as well and this fits the bill for me. The scenes are a little too dark for my taste but you can still find the objects you need with not too much difficulty. The story line is entertaining and it appears to be a good length for a CE. I haven't finished playing it yet but am about half way through maybe a little more. Definitely recommend everyone should give this a try and you might be surprised like I was. November 25, 2012
Creepy Mystery Based on the free trial. After receiving a letter from your friend, you travel to a remote island inn to meet her. When you go to her room she has vanished and the innkeeper denies she was ever there. You find her name has been erased from the ledger and set off to find her. Of course it is night time and incredibly creepy. Two levels of play. Integrated Strategy Guide. Unobtrusive voice over Beautiful artwork. No HO lists in the trial. Instead you must find objects by silhouette and only about 7 or 8 or less at a time. I enjoyed this game although at first I found some of the mini games a little confusing, but figured them out and began to have fun with them. Some were very easy, others just needed a good eye. I will be buying this one! November 25, 2012
The Beast of Lycan Isle After playing a very disappointing MCF Shadow Lake, this game was really good.I liked the story. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was Luna's voice.Overall, it's a good game and a lot of fun. November 25, 2012
Fun adventure game I found the voiceovers short & very helpful. The story flowed consistently & was enjoyable. Very few hidden objects to find & puzzles were easy without too much retracing of steps. Hint gave clue or riddle only which was good. Did not find the bonus in the Collector Edition as enjoyable as 1 section needed you to go from one end of the island to the other to find 3 keys hidden somewhere & its a very big island.
