Not My Choice in Strategy Games After playing the Island Tribe series, it is difficult for other strategy games to measure up. While the Far Eastern theme was a draw over the forests, hills, islands, and valleys of other games, not being able to queue up the resource tasks for your workers is a definite disadvantage. You wait around for your worker(s) to return to camp before you are able to send them out on another task. How boring! I hate waiting around...it makes game play so slow, and after the Island Tribe games, even worse. February 16, 2013
Cannot chain together clicks/tasks = FAIL I love Time Management games. I play a ton of them. Some are fantastic, and many are poorly executed clones. I refuse to play TM games that do not allow the user to chain together clicks. In other words, when your workers are busy, most games let you click on other tasks to "queue" them up, and then your workers go and do them. It adds a new level of challenge (since you're making choices on the order of when you do things, which is a skill in and of itself) and it means you don't have to sit in anticipation and wait for the little guys to get back to the base, so that you can immediately click to make them leave again. This game doesn't let you do that, so it's an auto-fail in my book. Avoid. December 28, 2012
And the Wall's Came Tumbling Down! I tried to like this Game but I could not. The biggest problem with this Game is that the Character's just aren't "cute" and so we don't really relate to them. The Graphics of the buildings are dull and lack character. I found it a chore to actually do all the tasks - unlike my Kingdom for the Princess (which is the best Time Management Game ever) where you actually enjoy doing all the tasks! The music was monotonous and I eventually had to turn it off because I couldn't stand it anymore. I'll give this one a miss, but I'm sure there are others who would enjoy it. No Buy for me. Excellent Time Management Game This game is a fun and challenging game. Being in the style of Royal Envoy, etc but the setting is different. The only thing I found a little frustrating is the fact that you can not click ahead for the next thing you want done. You have to wait until the worker goes ALL THE WAY BACK (lol) to the hut. The dragon is a nice touch! November 28, 2012
Decent Time Management Game I'm only reviewing after playing the demo, but I did go ahead and purchase. It's a decent time management game. As with most, it's a little slow and easy in the first few levels, but I can see where it will most likely become more difficult. The graphics aren't great, but they are fine for the play. I don't play with the music on, so I can't speak to that. The sound effects aren't annoying, so I'm good with those. I didn't rate the storyline because I generally skip those cut scenes in these types of games. I don't like that the characters have to go "home" before you can issue them a new task. This is true even with non-gathering tasks. November 27, 2012
A good game but....... I really like this game except for the fact that there isn't a relaxed or untimed mode to choose. This is my relax and have fun time; not my stress out and hurry time. Sometimes you want to play timed and other times you don't. So that being said, I would have definitely bought this game if the relaxed or untimed mode would have been in there but since it is not, I decided to pass on this one much to my disappointment. Great way to spend a few hours I love Roads of Rome (all three of them) and while this isn't as difficult (it was pretty easy to get three stars on the first try for most levels) it was still a fun game. I understand some people's frustration at not being able to queue up tasks but it is part of the game and just requires a little more planning. I liked it enough that I am sad that I "beat" it so quickly. March 11, 2013
Just okay This is a game like My Kingdom for the Princess or Roads of Rome, but just not as good. I only played the one hour trial and it left me without the desire to play further. There was not much challenge and the dragon click-fest irritated me to no end. I also found the screen went quite blurry at times, which was annoying. December 14, 2012
Not Good Enough The game is similar to My Kingdom for the Princess, Island Tribe and others of the build the village type. You gather materials to build a road or on this case the great wall. However, I didn't feel the graphics were good enough for this game. Also unlike other games, you could not multi-task, which was irritating. December 13, 2012
Love it I love tmg and this one has a new twist, only draw back is you cannot click ahead and have to wait for the men to get back to the hut before sending them out. Level of challenge is good, I play until I have 3 gold's and will not quit until I have them. Currently stuck on 3 levels--so close but not good enough. Def recommend this game. Graphics, sound and story all are great. December 12, 2012
