Disappointed in this Elephant When I see an Elephant game I jump on it. I wasn't that impressed with the trial but it had such great reviews I thought I was missing something special. As it turned out the items I collected didn't make a lot of sense when it came time to use them... i.e. the soap dish. I never would have thought to use it where I had to. And when I KNEW where an item went I had to place it "just so" or it would be rejected only for the hint to tell me exactly when I had just tried. After playing the Nutcracker this game was sooo below Elephant standards to me. Obviously others loved it. Well, I'm off to try Detective Quest the Crystal Slipper ! December 17, 2012
find something else I like HOG games a lot and play them almost exclusively. However, I simply cannot play a game that sends you hunting from one screen to the next and only a small 'game' at the end of the hunt. Uninstalled the game after less than 30 min playing. December 2, 2012
Hidden Object Game My first review although have played lots of games. Very disappointed. Found it dull. Compared to other games there was no atmosphere whilst playing, graphics not that great. Not much fun. Quit before finishing. December 29, 2013
Boring Cotton Candy I agree that it is a pretty game with decent graphics, but I quit the demo about halfway through, because I was just plain bored. The story involves a shrieking Bad Witch (yawn) and a Precious Princess Without a Brain as heroine. It's possible to get rid of the Princess's endless black bar switching to intermediate mode, but in that mode you don't get the jump map info that shows you where your tasks are. The music was incredibly irritating. The sound track was one of the most annoying I've encountered. Many of the puzzles didn't make sense. It wasn't that they were hard... the directions were not clear. After several trials, I still couldn't figure out what I needed to do. This game is pure pink cotton candy. In spite of that, I might have made it through the entire demo if I hadn't been so everlastingly bored. Not a buy for me, even at $2.99 or as a BOGO. April 15, 2014
Way too sappy! I wish BF would rate their games for Children/Young Adults/Adults etcetera. It would make life easier. I could not get through ten minutes. December 1, 2012
OMG!!! I wasted a free game with this! Based on completed game When looking at the reviews I should have started with "lowest rating first" then I would've gotten a real idea of my experience with this game. Add all of the 1 star reviews together and that's my opinion of this game. Really. They've covered it all. Its only saving grace IMO is that I like the puzzles. Otherwise, Thumbelina's saccharine was enough to send me to the dentist... and I only bought it because I wanted to know if I was right about there being two princes. Well, I won't tell you just in case you do decide to buy but I will say that the issue isn't really resolved in the SE. If you want to know what's going on you have to get the CE for the bonus game wherein the Raven Queen is the main character. Ironically enough she's much more interesting and entertaining than Thumbelina. She says things like "Again, I have to find some peasant tool to do this" and "No way am I crawling in there like an animal" and sends in her minions. Funny, but not enough to redeem the game. You might like it if you're 8. Otherwise, take a pass. August 7, 2014
