holiday funtime
I had fun playing this game, even though it had a different type of storyline. I had to use my hint button more than usual to find out where to go next. It could have been just me. The graphics, puzzles, and HOGs were challenging. I wish there had been more of the music in it.

Holiday Mode
If for any reason you are slow to get into a Holiday mode, this is THE GAME. The animation (especially of the rats) is fabulous. The music is perfection! The exact right excerpts of the Nutcracker are chosen for each scene and action.
The storyline has a twist - what fun.
The only problem is you will play the game so fast that it will be over far too soon.
The very best Holiday Game EVER!

Best Ever!
First time reviewing a game after years of playing Hidden Objects games. I had to review this one because it was beyond fantastic. Well worth the money. Challenging, excellent story line and beautiful scenery. LOVE LOVE LOVED!!!

Christmas Stories: Nutcracker (CE)
I haven't been writing as many reviews lately, but I had to do this one! I'm a "Christmas" person to begin with, but this story was so very very well done!!!! The snowy setting, collecting the dolls, the precious cats! (and I'm a dog person). The color was absolutely beautiful, the art superb! We need more like this! I'm not a puzzle person (this type) but they were different and interesting. To me, this was a very special boost, and anyone who loves Christmas themed games, should definitely play this one.
The color was very bright and cheery, even the mice were cute (when they weren't trying to carry away the princess). The whole game was well thought out and I loved putting the armour on the nutcracker. Having he assistance of Fred, the cat was great. The bonus story was also extremely well done. It was nice to have a game that was not dark, witches, heads on tables, etc. It is a great sesonal game, but I'm sure I'll be playing this many times. Even when I started the game you get a good feeling when you see the tree, the colors, snow.....I hope you take the time to play this game, Merry Christmas!

A true Christmas gem!
Usually, when I see "Christmas" in the title of a game I run 10 miles in the opposite direction, but this game drew me in straightaway. It is a veritable feast; and explosion of colours so beautifully crisp that the game is almost 3D. I caught myself just looking around at the wonderful rendition of this game.
The Nutcracker Suite plays intermittently, but is not on a loop so as to end up getting on your nerves. There are long stretches with no sound at all, meaning you can concentrate on what you are doing.
As ever with these developers, you have 'helpers' and quite a lot of them too. They make for an interesting diversion and provide some chuckles along the way. The map (which is a teleport map) is a work of art in itself with a candle that burns so realistically you'd be mistaken for thinking it's real. Thumbnails show you photos of the varying locations and there is no lag between jumps. The story is charming, but not too saccharine sweet.
There are achievements and collectibles to pick up (always a welcome treat) and the bonus material is available from the start. The main game has 13 H0S which are clearly defined (not junkpile) and 14 puzzles; the bonus 4 each of H0S and puzzles.
This game is a total joy and one to play again, and not just at this time of year. My favourite game of 2012, hands down. I would highly recommend this gem for all the family.

Great Christmas game!
I love this game so much because of the quality of visual and sound. Moreover the storyline is so lovely and great for Christmas. I have never played any game like this before. I am rarely buy the CE, but this game worth any pennies.

Holiday Gem
This is my first review. Found this elephant game to be a charming break from the usual gore of HOG adventures. Puzzles and HOG scenes were not difficult, but it was such a fun play, delightful music and effects were very nicely done. A nice twist on a classic story. I found the challenge to be average, liked the added hunt for dolls and the bonus game. A really nice way to get started on the Christmas season.
