Calling all Crafty* Jigsaw Enthusiasts - *Knowledge of Stained Glass Window making, Marquetry, Paper Collage and Applique and doing other crafts not actually needed, The fun is placing the pieces provided in the above mediums into the correct slots. Not as easy as you might think. A slightly misplaced piece and you lose your star for accuracy. The best thing to do is to hold your mouse down and move over where you think it goes. Don't release the mouse button until your're absolutely sure. If it doesnt fit there you can always place it back into storage without losing your star. There are loads of puzzles in each medium, and two locked areas which you can only open if you can beat a frenzy record of ten or twenty puzzles where you try and complete as many puzzles as possible in the time given The music is pleasant and relaxing. The sound of placing the pieces of jigsaw is different when using the different materials which is something I like, rather than a click or locking sound which you get on normal jigsaws. The quality of each puzzle is high, and it does look as if you are actually using the real material. I think you will receive bronze, silver and gold stars in the long run but I have not played this all the way through. However, It is a definite buy. I shall use one of my free game credits on it. Jigsaw meets Tangram? Drag and drop puzzle pieces acurately on to a stained glass puzzle. No rotation of pieces was required during demo. You are "graded" on completion, acuracy (no misplaced pieces) and speed (2 minutes or less). Once one puzzle is complete, you continue onto another. Graphics are gorgeous, Music is zen-like but became bothersome after a while like it can do at a spa for those of you who are like me : ). I liked it, but my overall enjoyment was okay. I would have appreciated it much more if I could have played without the acuracy and time elements and had the music been more varied. December 3, 2012
Updated version of old favorite The earlier version of Patchworkz was one of the first free online games that I played when I first came to Big Fish. I can remember re-visiting that game to try to improve my score. This newer version looks like it will have the same appeal and after trying the demo for 30 minutes I knew I had to buy it. The first puzzles seem really easy, but serve as a way of helping you learn how to play the game. There is an opportunity to play a timed part if you want more of a challenge. I consider this a good "coffee break" game: one that you can play for short periods of time and not have to worry about keeping track of a storyline. I do think that some parts of the game could have been better. For example, it did take me a while to figure out just how to exit the game and how to access the options screen. It might not be the kind of game everyone would enjoy, but I would suggest that you give it a try. Just don't be fooled by the simplicity of the first levels! I looked at some of the later levels and they look like they could be more challenging. December 3, 2012
nice jigsaw game Patchworkz is a lot of different jigsaw games rolled into one. It's got great looking jigsaw peices, theres tons pf packs to choose from, you can play a fabric pack or stone, or paper,or even a metal pack it goes on and on... I like Patchworks alot! December 3, 2012
Very Relaxing Beautiful colors, relaxing music. Starts out very easy then becomes more challenging. If you like puzzles, this is the game for you. December 3, 2012
Jigsaw With A Twist BASED ON COMPLETED GAME Great little game. Similar to jigsaws, but simpler smaller and most of all faster. I used to be a jigsaw fanatic, but then I got cats, lol. So over the years my attention span for this sort of puzzle has deteriorated. This game offers a chance to keep it simple whilst still offering a challenge. You have 8 boxes of 24 puzzles each, in various materials, for example, paper, crystal or wood. Each puzzle has only a few dozen pieces, some of which are already laid down. You must take what you get from the drop. Your aim is to complete the puzzle without hints, with 100% accuracy, within 2 minutes. Not as easy as it sounds! You also have the choice of playing Fever mode, where you must complete a randomly selected mixed box within a certain time. The graphics are lovely, the images you assemble are interesting and attractive, even the music is beautiful. For a soothing experience I don?t think it can be beat. I am so glad I bought this game on sudden impulse! August 13, 2013
Perfectly relaxing. The graphics of the screen shots on the description page are what compelled me to try this game. What I didn't expect was a surprisingly challenging (if you play long enough, early puzzles extremely easy) pastime with lovely music that had me eagerly anticipating the next puzzle. It is what it is - extremely simple and straight forward game play similar to a jigsaw. The challenge comes with not knowing what the picture will be. There is always the challenge of finishing w/in 2 minutes for one of 3 star ratings, the other being simple completion and not placing pieces incorrectly. I don't play games for "achievements" so this is inconsequential for me. There is a timed version but I did not try that. This is the perfect game for winding down, chilling out, relaxation. My one complaint is I have issues with my hands and needing to drag and drop pieces proved tiring by the end of the demo. I would have liked the option to click to pick up and place. December 3, 2012
better than i thought if you like jigsaw and you like patchwork, then just buy it December 3, 2012
Alot of mind bending, puzzeling fun... Hours of fun, unique puzzle game, so far nothing like it...just buy it, no need to try first! December 3, 2012
Great puzzling! This is a wonderful puzzle game, with gorgeous graphics and a wonderful, albeit monotonous, soundtrack. You can replay the puzzles over and over in order to attain three stars, but you can still get the bonus game just by completing the levels. My only complaint is that there just aren't enough puzzles, and that I was able to complete the game in a day, however, it's a nice break from the constant HOGs we've been receiving. December 5, 2012
