A musical dud This is everything rythm games should not be. It's boring, repetitive, tiring and impossible to control. The melodies are too simple and way too long. They loop time and time again till they drive you crazy. The control part is what got to me. There is no way you can play it on a computer keyboard. Stick with other Hero type games, cause this is not worth it. December 11, 2012
Only for Experienced Musically Trained To begin with - it would have been nice if "this game is designed to be played with headphones" would have been in the description. I wouldn't have downloaded it as I don't use headphones. But, I soon found out why. The mechanics of the game - how to play - even after reading the instructions (that's right - NO tutorial) were mind-boggling. I felt as though I were muddling through my phone's instruction manual - AAAHHHH. I can't give you the gist of the game other than it played something like Guitar Hero (I watched my son play a lot). And, apparently, you played against another person/villain/musician? I'm sure the instructions made perfect sense to ..... someone - green means no good, blue means maybe good and red is perfect. Seemed backwards to me. It also explained notes - black hit black keys, white hit white keys - notes with tails, notes with colored tails, notes, notes, notes and more notes that fell from the top of screen faster (and smaller) than I knew what to do with - HELP! The beginning opening scene was a fair 5 minutes long - l - o - n - g. You are awakened by a spectral voice telling you to rise and shine, rise and shine. Apparently, you were dead? You certainly were fully clothed. You float up to the sky and descend though a cemetery and STOP - you are at the curb of a very busy street in "PARIS PRESENT DAY" - didn't know we weren't anywhere BUT present day. As you stand there stunned, shocked, can't move and cars are going by, horns honking, food signs flashing, planes flying overhead. At some point you end up in a park and there appear the Muses who have gifts for you - a long conversation ensues and they are on their way for a Greek Salad from a Fast Food Chain - seriously, they said that. THEN, floating out of the sky is someone? Surrounded by musical instruments and what all - I thought it was a DJ. The accent is quite thick and difficult to understand (headphones needed?) but I got that the 2 musicians were going to battle - musically. Told you it was long. There are 4 modes of play from too easy to Chopin. NOT being musically inclined I played too easy - and it still was too hard. Glam-ma says definitely read the reviews, the video is useless, the description even more so. BUT PLEASE NOTE - if you aren't musically inclined, don't understand note A from note B this game is not for you. Probably fun for professional musicians but not us poor old blokes who just love to listen to music. How can I recommend or not recommend a game that's really suited for a small genre of people? There should be a "maybe" button. May 13, 2014
