Best of the Three
First, I'd like to state I'm rather amazed at the initial reviews. This was the first Snark Busters I've played and, because I loved it, I played the other two, also. This third installment of the series, Snark Busters: High Society, much higher quality graphics than the first two while mostly keeping with the same style of play and theme as the first two.
Here's some of what you can expect:
*Clear, bright graphics with even more attention to details in each scene.
*Instead of fragments of objects strewn about, you are now looking for whole items that will fit together to make a new something or other.
*Voice-overs that are done very well -- although don't fit with the lip movements. A minor thing, though.
*A refreshing break from the dark, dreary, spooky games. This is light and humorous with gorgeous fantasy settings.
*Absolutely no junk pile hidden object scenes. All searching is in a more logical, realistic environment... and you're shown a picture of what you need. Circlet-style (like in Depths of Betrayal).
*The minigames range from very easy to particularly challenging...quite a few are the shifting tiles type.
*The expert mode has no sparkles and a longer-filling skip/hint timer.
*About 5 1/2 hours of gameplay...some chapters are longer than others. This is a great value for a non-CE game!
High Society is a fun, upbeat, very well crafted game. You do need to enjoy hidden object adventures in general, but this is such a refreshing departure from the usual form of listed objects. I wish more games were like this one!
I 100% recommend this game to all lovers of hidden object-adventure games.

Dissapointed but what the heck, it is the SNARK after all.
I absolutely enjoyed the first two of the Snark games and am baffled as to why the third installment waivered off course; It seems the developers just lost their steam with this one. However I am a fan of the series and despite the fact that the graphics were blurry (compared to previous games) and game mechanics differed, I did enjoy the storyline and thought the Voice-overs as always were done well. Game mechanics in 'High Society' involves pop-ups and I really didn't mind but some might just be annoyed because trust me when I tell you, there are alot of pop-ups. Items are well hidden and not always in the same scenes, so you do get to use your brain cells to figure out where to go. There is a compass that helps you by pointing to optional directions and a hint system that re-fills quite quickly. There are two play modes and in difficulty mode, no sparkles at all. I actually liked the penalty for misclicks where you get bubbles all over your screen that you could pop. The storyline is cute and you need to solve two mysteries as well as prevent the Snark from getting his tail back. You have two alternative worlds where you also travel back and forth. However I was really dissapointed with the graphics which were too blurry and quite frankly, the game had a worn-out and dull look to it. I seem to recall that they were crisp and vibrant in the last two games along with much more challenging puzzles and mini-games. I whizzed though the trial perioud with 15 minutes to spare and funnily could not get out of the game when my time was up. #I believe this is a glitch#. I thought the puzzles and mini-games were just not as challenging as before. Nevertheless, I did enjoy seeing our famous Gossip reporter back and so I will be spending a credit on it. I do recommend that for those who enjoy cartoon style adventure/HOPA games, you should first try out the first two SNARK games; they were a hoot to play. I will hope that 'High Society' does get more challenging and am curious as to how our young heroine will clear her fiance's name. Besides, I have missed our old friend the SNARK.

Sadly, a disappointment
I absolutely adored Snark Buster 1 and 2.
I had a credit and elected to purchase the game.
It's so disappointing.
1. The snappy music is gone, replaced by something between elevator music and a dirge.
2. The characters in the first games were "naughty" in a very harmless way, but contributed to the fun and to the story line.
Instead, we have a sappy heroine who isn't even as interesting to look at.
3. The logic of the game in the first two episodes--travelling through the mirrors to backward worlds is almost completely lost here. In addition to the logic, the excitement of discovering those backward worlds is also absent.
4. One never has a clear idea what one is searching for, or precisely why. In the first two games, the missing pieces one needed were shown at the botttom. Now we have rings--a la Treasure seekers-- and the magic/cleverness that occured in the first two games--sort of like Rube Goldberg inventions and steampunk machinery--is entirely absent.
5. No voice overs in the first games and not missed at all. Much better than this dull dialogue with unimpressive acting. One example: we never heard the newswoman, Jessica speak, and didn't need to.
6. In the first two games, one could not wait to get to the next world, because it was all so fresh and so original. All of that excitement is utterly gone.
7. The humor, perkiness and the kick of both previous games is non-existent, alas.
I find this so tedious, that after having puchased the game on the strength of the first two episodes --which are wonderful-- I cannot even play through the chapter following the demo.
If I could get a refund, I would. But this not the fault of Big Fish. The developer--and perhaps different creative teams were involved with this project as opposed to those who worked on Snark I and II--seems not to have understood what worked the first two times and what was indispensable and what should have been kept and not jettisoned like flotsam.
For those who don't know Snark Buster I and II--highly original and delightful games--try those.
For those who loved the first two Snark Buster games, I suspect this might be a pass.

Good but not as good as the other Snarks!
I absolutely LOVED the other Snark games. This one has a slow start but eventually got better. This one lacks some of the humor, the music is not as quirky and so some of "fun" factor is missing. Finally near the end of the demo the cleverness of Snark games began to emerge! Thank heavens! Its a buy for me.

Disappointing addition to the Snark Busters series
Alas, not as good as the previous 2 installments of Snark Busters. Instead of the FROG style from before the objects are found in the way of Treasure Seekers. The catchy music is also gone, which was a big disappointment for me :( Also the story line didn't really have anything to do with hunting for the Snark. Challenges were easy, even on the more difficult setting. I finished the game in about 2 hours, so I was also a bit disappointed on the level of challenge and length.
Overall I feel that the game was just sort of put together without much thought into how it would flow with the rest of the story. Here's hoping they go back to the original formula!

I don't know what the complainers are talking about...
I've only played the demo, but it completely lived up to the other Snark Busters games so far. Somebody's review said that there were no skip buttons. There are and they are right there at the bottom of each puzzle. The photo manipulation was kind of tricky until I got the hang of it, but that's half the fun isn't it? I'm enjoying the colorful graphics and just the right amount of challenge.

Saw Mixed Reviews - Had to Try It!
I have both previous Snark games and love them. Immediately was going to just purchase this one but in reading the reviews they were so mixed I decided to see for myself before buying. Liked it! The graphics are crisp and fun (after so many dark HOS games), the music fits the game and is pleasant. I had read in one of the reviews that there was no story but there is as per the previous Snark games. I always have to adjust to the style of these games but this one doesn't disappointment in my opinion. I purchased it!

Quality Game!
I am so pleased to see another installment of this series. Like the others it has something to please just about anyone.
There is a good story, adventure, hidden objects to find and hard but not too hard mini puzzles to solve. Excellent graphics and many different kinds of scenes to visit and explore. If you try this one and like you will most likely enjoy the first two of this series. Just don't let the first puzzle put you off just think it thru and you'll find you have solved it before you know it (or follow the walkthrough that BF has provided for us). Happy gaming!

Snark Busters: High Society, maybe not !
The HOS were good, you had to pick many objects in order to complete an item, some were very well hidden.
The music was ok, but sometimes got a little annoying. The dialect in one scene just kept repeating and that was Very annoying.
I got through 2 levels and a book appeared and I could not figure out how to close it, soooo maybe I got through the introduction part ????
All in all it was ok.
