REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
Like so many others, from reading the Tech thread, I thought I was going to have to pass on this game. The severrity of the lagging in the demo was dire. I shelved it but kept checking every day to see if there was a fix. No. Players were told to check their cards and drivers etc and it was apparent that the game was going to stand as was. The inevitable day came when I had nothing to play and a bunch of pccs I needed to start using. I bought it, thinking even if I can only tolerate playing in short bursts, at least it is something to fall back on in time of drought. About 15 mins later it was like the game suddenly decided it had had enough fun messing with my head, sorted itself out, and, hey presto! Near perfect game play. Go figure that one out.
I am so glad I got to play it. It was really good. Wide screen graphics, beautifully done. Especially the interior decors of the mansion and castle. Quite lovely. A very well done adaptation of the classic Fairy Tale, well written and executed. The IHOS were clear and sharp and no junk piles. The puzzles were doable for the most part. I met a host of interesting characters. The music was sweet.
I counted at least 60 locations so having a jump map was a must, though the WT was also necessary as the map did not indicate areas of interest. The hint button gave directions and filled super quick.
Some of the cut scenes were a little off. Out of sync and very slow, but on the whole I really liked it.
Nice long game for a SE. Took me 5 hrs. Even if I had paid for it, I would still be satisfied with this game.

Very fun game. I recommend!
The story is very interesting. Graphics are not bad. My wife did not sleep for several nights, until complete the game twice.
I recommend to all as the nice Christmas present :)

Great Game!
I feel like I stumbled upon a excellent underrated game playing this one. Loved just about everything about it, including some of the more obscure and antiquated labels..... I took my time with this game. Great experience.

For a non-collector's version...
-this has more file size than some collector's editions.
This means buyers will get their time's worth for their money.
Similar to Dark Parables, twisted tales alters what may be the true story, and Blue Tea fans should enjoy this.

Can't say enough great things about this game!
I loved this game. The scenery was stunning, there were a few more details added to the typical "Beauty and the Beast" story we are all so familiar with that made it more interesting. The puzzles were at just the right level of difficulty (not too overwhelming in terms of the amount of objects pictured). Once thing that is unique about this game is that the developers give you a satisfying conclusion when you finish the game. I have played similar HO games in the past where you work for hours to complete the game and then the ending they provide is very unsatisfying or the game just ends abruptly without much in terms of visuals, wrapping up the story, etc. This one stands apart from those games in this regard. Superb! :)

Fairly Twisted Tales: The Price of a Rose
I absolutely loved, loved this game. I loved all the HO games because they were different and not the same throughout the game. The story line was great and what a bargain for the price. I played this longer than some of my collector's edition games. The mini games were challenging and I cannot complain or find fault about any features of this game. I am looking forward to playing more games like this.

A steady fun HOG
This is a little grittier version of Beauty and the Beast, which is a plus for me, I don't like cutesy fairy tale games. It's not too scary or creepy though.
Plenty of HOS and FROS, puzzles are the usual and on the easy side. You will play the same scene 2 or 3 times to find different objects, but that doesn't bother me. Too bad there are sparkles even on hard mode. Black box comments lead you way too much, so I tried to ignore them.
And this game has a map that allows you to jump from place to place, love that!
Nice that you can turn off the music and voices, which I always do, so can't comment on those.

Adventure Game with Palace Intrigue
This game is more adventure than anything else, but it has aspects of several different types of games. Outside of HOS, hint points where you need to go. Journal includes your diary, clues, and objectives. Good, CAMPY vocals. Love the music. Stunning visuals, if a little bit blurry. Various types of puzzles and tasks. The plot becomes obvious early on, so the mystery is how you save innocents from being murdered. While I normally prefer darker, more challenging games, this one caught my attention as one to play on days I don't feel like relaxing.
