It's not that hard. There's lots of hidden things on the map and even though I only have played the demo version so far , the game always made it clear who you could talk to and interact with and when you were done with some people you couldn't do anything more with them but most people you could click on again and again. I don't understand why the last reviewer couldn't understand the game....Anyway, I kinda like the game but I feel that if the creator had went about things differently then the game would be a lot more fun. This type of game feels kinda like a virtual board game mixed with role playing / adventure. It's not bad but I wish this game was more like Pharaoh ( control little people ) or Quest For Glory ( actually get to see the game's hero walk around and do things ) .... December 21, 2012
A Fun Adventure An easy-going adventure, that is part Hidden-Object, too. Search the areas for edible mushrooms, quail eggs, crayfish, and hidden treasure caches. There may be many more things to find, but I am just beginning the game. Quests require certain objects or equipment, and all require "Energy". To restore "Energy", you need to sleep in camps, which requires various food rescources. The game has a good intersting story, with numerous quests. The graphics are rich and enjoyable making me keep wanting to explore further! All in all a fun adventure. December 20, 2012
Adventure Game I think this is definitley an adventure game. I've played 45 minutes and it seems ok so far. A lot of conversation but it does seem to make sense. Just keep mousing around and clicking on things including small objects and you can figure it out. December 20, 2012
Clever game, lots to do!! Although I was concerned about the negative review above, I decided to try it anyway. I'm having a great time with it. There is a lot to do, some of it rather linear but still enjoyable. You can earn gold by going to the merchants and the farms and selling what you have collected. You may have to buy food to resell, but you get a good price when you sell. My major complaint is that the scale is so small that it's sometimes hard to see characters who wish to speak to you. But the yellow cues are a great help. Can't comment on music as I turn it off immediately. All in all, I like the game a lot. I am now off to buy it as my trial has ended and there is lots more to do and explore! December 20, 2012
Quirky but Interesting I rarely write reviews but I saw so many responses to the first review of not being able to move along/knowing what to do in the game. This is a nice I just want to play a game and not be self-absorbing. I gave it a 4, because that was my mood, and I wanted to see what the problem was (only 6 replies to "response helpful" then). So, it's really betw a 3 and 4 rating. This is a task-achievement type game that moves you along as you do tasks and barter your way to find your father and gain the supplies you need to do tasks. The first two screens guide you through everything. Once on your own you need to pay close attn to what you are being asked to do, and always check your inventory as to if you have the necessary supplies to do the task. If you don't then buy/trade to get them. You receive badges for skills as you progress, and additional rewards by doing/learning tasks. This is not a spoiler (I'm an inspector and it's hard to notice/see as game says nothing about). Click on any objects/spots of color away from the other characters you are bartering with (esp. along waterways and open field, areas, could be eggs, mushrooms, crab, "treasure" boxes) or any character standing way off to self (could have something special/info). Make sure you re-explore areas as you may find more tasks and additional "treasures". In the third town/area you are given a map that you can jump from one location to next, and backwards. You are awarded achievements and increases in skill level, eventually allowing you to get items cheaper or obtaining more in something like fishing. Also, moving from one area to next doesn't open up until completed certain tasks (self-scrolling like older games via showing images vs. dark area). There is only one mode of play, but I liked that it is highly replayable after the first time as you are more aware and you can increase your skills, and achievements faster. It is pretty much a clicker. Time is not a factor and if you attempt/help everyone you meet you can keep playing to your hearts content; up to a point now! Make sure you rest as you may think you don't have items needed when you do. The one thing I didn't like but got use to was there was no real interaction in say a battle, just swords clicking and people talking. It is somewhat talkative in place of graphical images. Overall, it's a game for "I just want to play", but you have to think, manage, and get from one point to next. Hope I haven't confused anyone! December 20, 2012
Quite enjoyable once you figure out what is going on Basically, you have to find things on the ground like mushrooms and eggs and crawdads and things like that -- so keep on the lookout. Also, there may be gold around some stones. Because everything is so TINY it makes it hard to see these things. I accidentally clicked on one of these and that is how I learned that you have to do that -- unfortunately the game doesn't tell you -- you have to discover it. Otherwise, it's a hoot. Enjoy playing. Adventurous Adventure I had no problems navigating through this game, and found it quite entertaining. I don't normally like this type of game, but after reading the other review, I was somewhat intrigued (and usually I am when I see a game with low ratings, and I normally try the games out and find that they really do deserve the low stars, this one however I feel deserves a chance). I made it through at least 6 maps before my time ran out, and it was rather fun. It combines the adventure with somewhat of a HOG within the maps, and you have mini quests to complete. I think I am going to purchase this one! December 20, 2012
Thumbs up! This game isn't the best game, by any means, but it really makes you think and use your memory quite a bit. I can see where it could be extremely challenging for some, but overall, I really liked this game. December 20, 2012
Decent Adventure Game I have found this to be a pretty decent game. I've had no problems moving forward in the game and enjoyed the challenges, although they see a bit too easy at times. I would recommend if you're looking for a fun, relaxing game. December 20, 2012
Fun, but short This is more of an adventure game than a time management game. It is fairly easy and only lasts a few hours, but I enjoyed it. December 20, 2012
