Nice sequel.
Wow, it's been over a year since the first game came out...long time for a sequel. I really liked the first game, but this one didn't keep me on my toes as much as the first, and not much in the way of HOGs (only saw one so far-should have more than one in two chapters#. I do agree that you really should play the first game before this one, to better understand what is happening.
Nice graphics and game play #although it did bog down in a few places, especially the SG#. Did like the fact that all of the chapters were listed in the SG, even if you couldn't open them, but do not care for SGs that turn the page for you #silly, yes, but I'd rather do it myself...maybe I'm not ready to go to the next page yet#. Games not difficult, but take a bit of thought. Finding the 36 items you need to find is a bit difficult, as they blend in quite well to the scenery and some scenes have more than one #arrrrrrgh#. This game could definitely have benefited from voice overs. Music got annoying very quickly.
All that being said, I did like this one, not love it like the first, but liked it enough to buy it and see how they save Dad #if they do). Will wait to get this one "next year," since it won't give me enough for another credit this year.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may thoroughly love this one, or not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews.

Best since Drawn: The Painted Tower!!
Beautiful, haunting and immersive. A wide range of puzzles, mini-games, HO and interactive scenes. This is not a game to rush through, but to enjoy as it unfolds. I played in hardest mode, but you have all you need to steadily progress. Wonderful game!
*Played on Acer AspireOne netbook with no problems!

Love this sequel
Not much to add to some already well written reviews of the game play. I own the first Nightmare Realm and this one doesn't disappoint. Beautiful graphics and I like the adventure over multiple HO scenes. Some of the puzzles were a bit gnarly but worth the effort. I didn't need to use the Hint button so can't comment on that but the Map is excellent as far as letting you know where you have a task. A jump map would have been nice but it's not a deal breaker for me. I'll be purchasing this game because I enjoyed it and it's right up my game playing alley. A big Thank You to the Devs on this one! Brilliant job and can't wait to see where you take us next.

Better than the first
Wow amazing.. I thought we would never find another but here it is. Epic adventure with a great storyline, gorgeous artwork, inventive, imaginative and just downright fun. Comperable to the drawn series and that's a tall order. Collectible oragami with story cards to go along with. Loved the rolling dice that signalled a card with more background story. Loved all the puzzles. The making of doors, faces and spray painting postmen. You must enter into several paintings to right things as well as travel through a dark and dangerous world to save your husband from execution. Fabulous. This is a must play for anyone who loves a good story and some great puzzles. Even the adventure play and inventory objects are imaginative. Very good. Loved it.

Nightmare on Realm Street!
This is my first game from these developers. Not having played the first Nightmare Realm, it was quite confusing to understand exactly what was going on at first and I found the gameplay different from what I was used to.
However, once I got to the cells I began to 'get it' and I found it extremely enjoyable. The puzzles are ones I have not seen before and they are challenging. The few H0S (only 4 in the main game - 21 puzzles) are extremely well done, very interactive and even contain interactive puzzles. The graphics are beautiful and reminiscent of the Myst games. The Hint button is extremely helpful. However, some gamers may find the puzzle Skip button slow to refill.
The map is different and instead of a journal there are cards that tell you about progress. You collect origami animals and objects throughout which fill up character cards that give you information about the people you meet along the way.
The bonus is beautifully bright and colourful and brings the story together. In the bonus every H0S has interactive objects to be found.
This developer also cares about what we think as they are inviting comments in a thread they have created in the game forum on this site.
Since I'm interested in how it all began, I'll play the first one now. I'd recommend to play them in the right order to fully understand what is going on.
Great game!

Game of the Year!
Forget the recently announced games of the year: this is THE game of the year. I was going to write a long, detailed review of this game, but it ended up being too long. If you're reading this right now, you're wasting time: buy the game and play it.
I've been a member of Big Fish for a long time and my list of games purchased is quite long, but I haven't played a game this good in just about as long as my membership.
Visuals: outstanding
Game-play: excellent
Puzzles: wonderful
Length of Game: bountiful
Story: entertaining
CE edition: worth it, finally! It's been a long time since I said that.
Thanks to the developers and to Big Fish.
