Phantasmat: Crucible Peak
Makes you think
I loved this game from the first little bit of playing it. I have now played it through twice and it gets better every time. It is very well drawn and the characters are great. The story line is very interesting and the games and the thought process you need to use are great. Takes awhile to figure things out and then BAM it is all fun from there. Help button is good too!! Hope you enjoy it. I will, again and again.

Another Winner from Ers
I loved the first Phantasmat, and I loved this one too. I played it on hardcore, so it took me longer than usual, but everytime I figured something perplexing out, it felt like victory. Such a fun game!

This was an amazing game with an original and suspenseful story, beautiful graphics and fun puzzles. I loved the fact that the game was in a snowy alpine setting. A great game, a real treat!

Beautiful Addition by ERS
Wonderfully conceived adventure story by ERS in which you try to escape the mountains which have experienced an avalanche. Lengthy game. There is a lot to do and a lot of places to see, but a map and task list guide you to your next actions and tells you what percentage of the game you have completed. Dialogue is written so you can click as fast as you read. Graphics are brilliant. HOS are well defined and there?s no pixel hunting. Puzzles are fairly easy for the very experienced gamer and are skippable. A terrific addition to the Phantasmat games.

Enjoyable as the Dickens..
I truly enjoyed this game. The graphics were great and the story was very interesting. There was not much of a plot, but there was just something about this game that was totally intriguing. In fact, the plot was there, just sort of hidden through the whole game. There were a lot of different scenes, you could play match 3 instead of HO if you wanted to, and the hint button was good enough so no walkthrough was needed.
The game was a fine length, had VO, and the main character was really quite an interesting guy..I really enjoyed this game so much, I could do nothing more than give it a 5. It was long enough, and stayed enjoyable, throughout.

Love the Story Line
For once, I really enjoyed the story line in a game. Loved the way the game moved from area to area; there was plenty of visual candy here. HOS's, puzzles, etc.; everything made this game a real keeper. So glad I purchased it.

A Good HOPA
For those who waited for the SE of this game, good choice. Unfortunately the CE fell short from being a great game and pales a bit in comaprison to the first Phantasmat. You do not miss much by not buying the CE as the bonus game did not really add to the overall storyline. If like me, you dont go after screen savers, wallpapers and music scores that are featured in CE games, then definitely this SE is well worth the pennies.
The storyline in Crucible Peak is similar to the first game: you find yourself trapped on a ski resort located somewhere in the Alps. You meet up with some dead people who are trying to stop you from finding a way out. I actually loved the first Phantasmat and from what I understand, the developers have changed. Although some features of the game are similar, something is amiss with this second installment. However, that is not to say that this one is without merits. Good graphics but not great, very well acted voice-overs, interesting story-line, adventure with hidden object gameplay and you also have the choice of switching to M3 with the HO scenes. Unfortunately no journal and no map so be prepared to do some backtracking in the snow. In the end I actually passed up on the CE but will definitely go for this one. I thought the pesky rodent who keeps popping up was a cute addition to the cast of characters that you meet up with. Off to go play with dead people!
