A good entertainment!
Help seeking Tommy, who is lost in a world inside of an evil mirror. You will have to restore mirrors to be transported to a magical world.
Cutscene is nice, an has gloomy VO.
Good story, well done crisp graphics, music is a little tiresome, but you can turn off in options. Lots of locations to explore!
HOS are different: you have to find pieces of objects, and when you complete one, it helps you find the last part of another. In other words, you need to complete certain object to complete another one.
I played half an hour and the only minigames that I played were to restore a broken mirror.
It has a journal, but no map.
Is a decent game.

Very pretty game, but...
I liked the game. The worlds were nicely conceived and drawn. HO scenes were fun and mini games easy.
But...
In the one hour demo, not using the hint button, I was over 1/2 way through the game and on my third mirror. There are only 4. Probably the shortest games I've demo'd in quite a while.
That sunk it for me.

Mysterious mirrors
I love this way to find the objects : no list but some parts of objects to find in the scene, one after the other up to the last one.
There are several broken mirrors. You have to find their pieces to restore them, and this allows you to travel and visit different worlds. I love games like this.
I played the demo and i will buy the game, and for the moment the only negative thing i found is the horrible music of the first world (style years 1920), it gets on your nerves. I don't know for the moment how are the musics in the other worlds.
There are some mini games which are mostly not so difficult.
This is an original game that changes of the usual games.

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
I am beginning to sound like a broken record. 2hrs 45 mins long, or rather 2 hrs 45 mins short. Too short. I am beginning to wonder if this is the new trend, these little short jobs. We do not seem to getting the same value for money that we used to. Maybe devs who drop the play time like this should also drop their prices. Then BF could sell them to us at a discount. Play time is never mentioned in the game description so I suspect BF has no idea how long a game will be. Perhaps people can tell by the amount of space a game takes up on their computers. I cannot.
This is a standard FROG game which is rife with them. I don't mind them, but they are all this game really consists of. There is little else to do. They are all interactive, meaning once you find all the pieces to complete an item, you use it in the scene to find a piece for another item, and so on. Outside of these, there is the odd thing to do now and again. There are only 4 mirrors, each with about 3 locations each, so no backtracking. The music is varied but unremarkable, except for the 1st track, which put me in mind of old 1950s band music. The hint fills fast if your eyes have trouble spotting some pieces, but they are easy enough to spot..
The cut scenes are nice and quick, as is the dialogue and there are not too many of them. The ones in the 1st mirror were quirky and also reminiscent of the 1950s. Those made me smile.
No wide screen or map but a map is totally unnecessary with this game. The story is the same as in the prequel. Your brother has been taken. No, really? Defeat the evil mirror and rescue him. Bit of a yawn.
The graphics are rather good. Colourful and finely drawn with lots of detail and strange and interesting devices. The puzzles are lovely but very straight forward. No calculus ones. Yay. Hate those.
Those FROG fans who do not mind how long a game is will probably love it, or if you have a pcc to use up you will get a few hours of mild entertainment, but otherwise it's not worth the full price.

DEFINITELY DIFFERENT
WOW if your looking for something different in a HOG this is the one!! It's a good game and a lot of fun BUT the sound is absolutely irritating and had to mute it. I was surprised by the maker of this game they usually don't put out something like this. Give it a try, I think most will like it. It's definitely worth a PCC...Thanks BF it will be a good game on a cold Saturday!

I don't like it
This game has more than a few aspects I didn't like, such as dreary pastel graphics, really bad VOs and music, and HO scenes that are all picture finds only (no lists). I really dislike that kind of HO scenario and this time not only is it pictures only, but you can't look for all of them at once, some are locked until you find others. The trouble with this is that the items are tiny shards of stuff usually, and they are all grainy grey. It becomes tedious quickly and after a while I began to dread finding HO scenes. As the other reviewer said, there were no mini games except for repairing mirrors, and that was very simple. It wouldn't be so bad if you could at least explore, but the long expositions take up most of the time. The voice of the owl at the ticket office was enough to make me mute the game. Also, it looked as if it had been drawn by a beginner. Probably, our expectations are high due to the excellent art work found in most new releases, so when standard fare is offered it is just not sufficient. The hint button refills quickly though, I ought to know...after a while I was using all the time to finish the HOs.

Nice FROG (fragment object game)!!
Played and liked the first part of this series. This one is similar: You have to restore several mirrors, which are portals to other worlds. By solving several (not too challenging) minigames and hidden fragment scenes you are the one to rescue these worlds and defeat the bad mirror man.... The reason for me to play this game are these hidden fragment scenes. You need to find several hidden fragments to receive useful items, which will unlock other hidden fragments. The last restored item is the one you get. - It's a nice designed game, very clear and detailed. 2 modes to choose from. I think, I will spend one of my coupon codes!!

loving this game
I really like the way you do the HOs. It took a little getting used to, but was fun once you got the hang of it.
The music was annoying so I turned it off. The graphics were real good, really crisp.
I only skipped one mini game, the rolling balls, because of time. Had I owned the game I would have taken the time to fugure it out. I'll restart the game so I can do it.
Once you get used to the HOs there isn't any hard challange.
The storyline was the same old, gotta find my sibling, friend, parent, ect. But I was so into the game, I didn't care.
Sorry, got to go, have to buy the game.

Evil mirror
I have to admit I was entertained by this game. I didn't play the first Mirror Mystery but I don't think it matters. Tommy found an evil mirror that had been broken and hidden away since he was a boy. After reassembling and entering the mirror realm Tommy goes missing and his sister goes to find him. You search for mirror shards throught the game and it is loaded with HO's of a different kind. You must find parts of an object then use that assembled part on the scene (such as a screwdriver) to uncover another piece to complete before getting the last item for your inventory. Even though it wasn't a typical "list" HO, it was actually a little challenging to find the items. The mirror realm itself is a little on the wierd side and almost like a childs cartoon.

Used my bonus game credit
I like the steam punk artwork in this game. I bought it because it was fun to play and I had a credit from buying six games last month. It is a relief not to have the same old HO every five minutes. Instead you have pictures of things that must be fond to unlock other stuff. The sound effects when doing that are wonderful. These were challenging to do also.
It did seem to me that the artwork was done by two different groups. On the one hand we get these great steam punk fantastic renditions of old trains and imaginative worlds and then there is a talking owl or a spinning vortex that looks like they came out of the pages of a coloring book.
It is very incongruent for there to be this much discrepancy with the artwork and it takes away from what could have been a really beautiful game.
I am still going to have fun playing it, but I fear this will put off a lot of gamers. I am spoiled by the industry standard of new games being published that have a much more polished look to them.
